The Dems’ Last Gasp Effort
Chuck Schumer stated the Democrats would do anything to stop Matt Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
Meet anything in the form of Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused Kavanaugh of sexually molesting her more than 35 years ago.
Accusing Republicans of sexual impropriety is a favorite tactic of the Democrats. Sometimes it works (Herman Cain and Roy Moore) and sometimes it doesn’t (Clarence Thomas). At any rate the Democrats are as likely to use it as the Red Sox are to be in this year’s post season play.
Let’s take a close look at Blasey Ford and her accusation:
- It’s strictly “he said, she said” except for a third party she claims was in the room who denies it happened
- She has no idea where the party took place
- She has no idea who invited her
- She can’t name any other attendees
- Everyone else was drinking heavily, but she only had one beer
- She has no idea the date or even the year the alleged molestation took place
- She told no one – not her girlfriends, parents, the police, Kavanaugh’s school principal … no one
- She is a college professor in California, who actively supports the Democratic Party, donates to the party and is a committed left wing activist. She has every reason to oppose Kavanaugh’s confirmation
- 65 women who knew Kavanaugh since high school have written a letter to the Judicial Committee stating this accusation is totally out of character for the man they knew
- Blasey Ford is in a no-lose situation. Even if her effort to stop Kavanaugh fails, she wins. She becomes a hero to the left (the world she lives in) and will make major financial gains (book, speaking engagements, maybe even become a Nike spokesperson)
Exit question: where did Blasey Ford attend high school? As a graduate of a Catholic Boys’ high school, I can attest to the fact that students at single-sex Catholic high schools are very cliquish. We DeLaSalle boys primarily dated and socialized with girls from Dominican and the boys from Brother Rice primarily dated/socialized with girls from Marian.
Attorney Debra Katz is representing Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Ford. How could I possibly overlooked her Saturday?
