Liberals only Have a Majority in Six States

2019 February 23
by bc3b

And, they are mostly the ones you would suspect: Massachusetts, Hawaii, Vermont, Washington, New York, and New Hampshire

So, why did we lose the House, governorships and state offices last November?

Good question. The Republican Party has a special kind of incompetence. The Republicans could have steered the Titanic into an iceberg in August. They don’t fight to win and they don’t go for the jugular. They don’t get out the vote. They lose gracefully, refusing to challenge voter fraud.

Then there are incompetent establishment candidates who don’t stand for anything. Take Mike Bishop, my former congressman, who may have run the worst campaign in House history. He refused to take a stand on important issues like border security and immigration, the Second Amendment and other issues that appeal to traditional Republican voters. Then, in the middle of the campaign, he came our with new signage “Mike” which looked nothing like the “Bishop” signs the campaign had been distributing earlier in the 2018 campaign. Basically Mike Bishop was a tool for the US Chamber of Commerce and big business.

Bishop, like most establishment Republicans, learned nothing from the 2016 election. Donald Trump won because he ran like a Democrat. He was always on the attack and didn’t care whom he offended. He had a single goal – to win.

Of course, there are other factors over which the GOP has little control such as media bias.

In a stunning new Gallup survey, the number of states where liberals outnumber conservatives has plummeted 30 percent.

This leads many people to wonder just how democrats succeeded in winning the House in 2018. And, it provides real credence to the claims that democrats have rigged the voting system in a number of states.

In just six states, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Vermont, Washington, New York, and New Hampshire, do liberal have a majority of voters.

Think about that for a minute.

If House races are chosen on popular votes in specific districts, then the real problem is liberal gerrymandering.

Somehow, leftists must have begged, borrowed, or stolen the numbers needed to take control of the House.

“According to the latest Gallup survey, in every other state but California, where conservatives and liberals split 29 percent to 29 percent, conservatives lead.”

And, across the nation, people who identify as conservative hold a whopping nine-point lead.

Are these people not voting?

Gallup said the gap used to be 21 points.

However, the survey still shows a large swath of red and pink states bookended by the liberal West Coast, New England, and the mid-Atlantic, including the Washington, D.C. area.

So, basically, where there is filth, crowding, and poverty, liberals rule.

“The only Midwest state shaded light blue, which signifies ‘less conservative than average,’ is Illinois.

“The residents of most U.S. states are more likely to identify as conservative, than as liberal in their political ideology. In 25 states, the conservative advantage is significantly greater than the national average, including 19 ‘highly conservative’ states in which conservatives outnumber liberals by at least 20 percentage points,” said Gallup.

Yeah. The map doesn’t make sense. I can buy into factors like media bias and voting “irregularities” … still, there’s just too much that doesn’t add up. Maybe they’re just wrong.

and the People’s Republik of Kalifornia isn’t in the “More Liberal” category??

I think the study was skewed.

The cities in this “State” are the bastions of Loony Leftists, and the suburbs lean Left. Outside of the those areas the vast majority are very Conservative.

if it wasn’t for Fake Hate Crimes…there would pretty much be no Hate Crimes at all

    from the article:
==> “The pattern is clear. In an ongoing effort to discredit President Trump and white conservative males, the bizarro left loves to fabricate stories that portray themselves as victims of hate. It’s a shameful practice that borders on mental illness.

In virtually every state, there are not enough conservatives to win., so the GOP needs to attract moderates. In 2018 Trump had the same effect on the left that Obama had on the right in 2010 and 2014 – he energized it.

A commenter at JustOneMinute blog notes you can add “YOU F*CKING IDIOT” to each sentence and it still makes sense!

“Furthermore, opposing Amazon was not even good politics, as the politicians have learned since Amazon pulled out. They are like the dog that caught the car. … We underestimated the effect of the opposition’s distortions and overestimated the intelligence and integrity of local elected officials.”

This is at its core an issue of favors. Amazon desires to acquire tax abatements and to do so they had to go to the dogs to acquire them. Having rolled in the mud with them they came up fleas and empty handed. It never ceases to amaze me that companies do not assign a $$ value to the free hand of ‘doing it there way’ without the encumbrances of govt officials.

I would offer that there is insufficient numbers for the Libs to win either. The political middle has expanded as both end of the parties have become more extreme. As a consequence political battles will get ever more extreme.

I agree completely, which is why the results og the last three mid-term elections have been so different. My point is that the GOP doesn’t play to win.

JR, been meaning to ask if you’ve been following the Cal Repub Party.
They are about to elect a new party chairman and the Gov-candidate Travis Allen is leading. Allen was beat out by John somebody for the Repub Gov nomination. Poor John was slaughtered, I guess he was a CINO.
Allen seems pretty energetic and I saw some campaign signs for him in my neck of the woods … none/zero/zip for the other guy.

Drdog, I do know people who are “Socialist leaning”…and EVERY one of them REFUSES to discuss (let alone debate) Socialism. EVERY.SINGLE.ONE.

The reason is clear: they don’t a fu@king clue what it would really mean for this country.

Every one of them believes Socialism would give THEM “stuff”…at no cost, and certainly without impacting their freedoms.

And if you try to mention “Venezuela”, they start sputtering before you get to the fourth syllable.

  26. 2019 February 25 9:16 am

Concerning the draft. There has always been restrictions . IE Height, weight, marital status, criminal status ,mental ability, age etc, that have never been overturned by the courts. If congress has the right to raise armies, they have the right to set standards. It’s a moot point anyway, as I don’t see a return to the draft. Methinks this judge is throwing that crap out there, as it is a main arguing point against the equal rights amend, which this prick obviously favors. If that issue can be taken off the table he thinks opposition to the amend will dry up.Fuk him.

As I recall, Dem Charlie Rangel proposed reinstating the draft back in the 80s or 90s.
He wanted to lessen support for America’s military. So, in the end, he voted against his own bill.

A different view of the Oscars….

The inmates have taken over the asylum. Just a word anent last night’s cultural vacuum, clusterf*** and dumpster fire, the Oscars. Boring, irrelevant, inapposite, tedious, mind-numbing and a colossal waste of time. I’d call it mental masturbation but waxing onanistic has, it is reported, ostensibly a purpose, concludes more ceremoniously yet shares with this sickening celebration of narcissism and marginal talent the understandable reluctance to publicly admitting participation therein. The Oscars ceremony reminds us how Hollywood has lost its charm, class, panache and elegance. It’s now a parade and diversity retinue of half-baked, half-assed monosyllabics knuckle-dragging across the stage only to bore us into coma with vapid mouth-breathing testaments to subject matter they’ve no clue or inclination to appreciate much less comprehend. Yes, there must be someone somewhere who yearns for submental disquisitions on southern border security, “diversity,” the hallowed Wall and anti-American anti-Trump anti-intellectual insipidity. There must be. One last word. Have you seen Roma? Count yourself lucky if no. Rumor has it rogue American military torturists are seriously considering forcing detainees to watch it à la Clockwork Orange style, eyes pried open, in lieu of waterboarding or stress positioning. Dear Gawd, stop the madness! It redefines suckage. Gravitational sucking, pilgrims. And another thought: Imagine sharing conversations in a cross-country ride in a MINI Cooper with the likes of Spike Lee. Spike Jones, Milligan, certainly. But this rambling twit, this incomprehensible “auteur” whose BlacKkKlansman is to cinematic genius what the bicycle pump is to the hemispherectomy! Why must we encourage this dolt to continue with his enfeebled attempts at relevance? One actual last word: GREEN BOOK! Bwahahaha!

As to the draft. I still prefer the Swiss model. It closely matches what our Founders envisioned for the US. Able citizens ready for the defense of the country, aka everybody. The Militia concept also had a particular advantage, few foreign wars. Politicians would be rather reluctant to do a call up that might instead end up as a armed march on DC. The Swiss as you know do not store squad level weapons in some armory. They are there and their ammo at home with the solider-citizen. It also has the advantage of driving the typical anti-gun loon right over the top.

If everyone spent as much money on the movies as me, Hollywood wouldn’t exist.

The last movie I saw in a theater was Daddy Day Care with Eddie Murphy in 2003.

Why did I see Daddy Day Care? My daughter’s soccer team was playing in a tournament in Midland, MI on an unbelievably cold, rainy, windy weekend in May. Our hotel was about 25 miles away. The parents didn’t feel like driving 50 miles between two games on Saturday so we took our daughters to the movie to warm up.
