Sexual Assault Doesn’t Matter …

… when the accused is a protected class Democrat.

The left and the media (yes, that’s redundant) were actually getting quite excited over Gov. “Coonman” Northam’s predicament. While they pretty much ignored his suggestion that babies surviving an abortion be left to die, he really crossed the line by wearing “black face” 30+ years ago.

It provided an opportunity for virtue signaling, demonstrating how racissst white men (even liberal white men) are and the opportunity to replace a leftist white governor with an even more leftist black governor.

Both Virginia senators, leading Democrats and the leftist media have called for Northam’s resignation.

What the left hadn’t planned on were sexual assault accusations against Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, their black hero.

Now, they’re trying to shift the focus.

New Jersey Senator (and 2020 presidential candidate) Cory Booker claims the sexual assault charges are just a smokescreen to deflect from Governor Northam’s “black face” episode.

The left was hoping the accuser of Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax would be discredited just as the accuser of Brett Kavanagh’s was. But, there’s a major difference: unlike Christine Baisey-Ford, the woman accusing Justin Fairfax told others about the alleged attack shortly after it occurred.

The woman at the center of a sexual assault scandal involving Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax is a Stanford University fellow scheduled to appear at a symposium next week on sexual violence and the #MeToo movement.

Professor Vanessa Tyson’s allegations, stemming from an interaction at the Democratic National Convention in 2004, and the explosive political fallout echo those of Christine Blasey Ford, another university professor living in Palo Alto, who last year accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault when they were teenagers.

Tyson’s Stanford colleague Jennifer Freyd told the Bay Area News Group on Tuesday that sometime last fall, at the start of their fellowship program, Tyson told Freyd and a couple of other colleagues about the 2004 encounter at the Boston convention. Freyd doesn’t remember whether Tyson named Fairfax, but said that she spoke about it while “illustrating a concept” they were discussing about sexual violence.

“It was not that remarkable in that many times I’ve sat with colleagues and they talked about being victimized and how it fits in with what we are talking about,” said Freyd, a University of Oregon psychology professor who is part of the same Stanford behavioral sciences fellowship program with Tyson.

Like Kavanaugh, Fairfax has denied the allegations. On Monday, he told reporters the encounter was consensual and that he was the victim of a “smear campaign.”

Fairfax was little known outside Virginia until the weekend, when it began to appear Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam might have to resign in a racial scandal, elevating Fairfax to the top office.

Although Tyson has not personally gone public with her account, she told Freyd in an email Monday that it was OK for this publication to identify her because “her name is public now” after she was identified in a conservative blog on Sunday.

“She’s super smart and thoughtful. I’ve experienced her as a person of enormous integrity, courage and authenticity,” Freyd said. Both are scheduled to be part of a Stanford symposium on Feb. 12 called “Betrayal and Courage in the Age of #MeToo.”

The latest scandal has led to an outcry among conservatives, calling the media and Democrats guilty of a double standard in its treatment of Democrats and Republicans accused of sexual assault or harassment.

(snip)

Tyson’s allegations surfaced Sunday after a conservative website, Big League Politics, wrote a story based on a private, cryptic Facebook post from Tyson, in which she laments that a man who attacked her at the 2004 Democratic National Convention was a statewide officer holder “3000 miles away” and was likely to get a “VERY BIG” promotion. That led to Fairfax’s denial Monday and assertion that the Washington Post had vetted her story a year ago and decided against running it.

His office went so far as to claim that the Post didn’t run the story because of “red flags” and “inconsistencies” in her story. Later Monday, the Washington Post countered that it didn’t run the story for other reasons: that reporters found no similar complaints against Fairfax, and that they couldn’t corroborate her account in part because she had not told anyone at the time what happened.

The Post then detailed that Tyson had alleged that what started as consensual kissing in the Boston hotel room ended up with Fairfax strong-arming her to perform oral sex.

Fairfax told reporters that Tyson’s allegations are “a complete smear” and “completely political.”

So gang, make sure you have your priorities straight: going “black face” is far worse than a black Democrat sexually molesting a woman, which is far worse than murdering a baby that survives an abortion.

NO crime or allegation matters if you have the magic (D) after your name.

Just ask Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, Bob Menendez…

We have reached the stage where politically correct crimes, which harm no one and had no malicious intent, are viewed as worse than actual crimes like murder, robbery, etc.

    Sad state of affairs.

    Wait! Fight On,

I don’t remember AOC doing fist pumps when Trump grounded Pelosi’s Grand Tour of Afghanistan. Plus, Pelosi is probably on the phone to her majority whip telling him to stomp AOC’s ass flat. 🙂

7, you don’t think a person could be so stupid. But you’d be underestimating today’s American college.

    Jim,
Apparently AOC was not smart enough to be a bartender so she went for a lower IQ and skill job and joined congress.

When PC and fashion clash — https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-02-07/gucci-halts-sale-neck-jumper-after-backlash-erupts-social-media — Thing is I see the functionality of it, just add a woolen cap and most of your face is protected. And of course if you selected it in white you would be considered a klansman.

Some people need offensive derangement training.

Jim, that’s a good account of a horrible tragedy…a tragedy of the Obama era Navy putting Social Justice and Political Correctness over effectiveness and capability.

The Navy had to be forced to release those details…and is covering up MUCH more. I hope the Navy, and our entire military has learned from this, but I seriously doubt it.

Err, wall with Canada back above.

From fake Justice Kagan twitter acct
Ginsburg is very disturbed about a conspiracy theory going around that she is physically incapacitated (or even dead!) and that she is therefore unable to handle the normal workload of a Supreme Court Justice.

She believes this may be the work of the same conspiracy theorist who floated claims that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton kept her emails on a ‘secret server’ and destroyed evidence; that former President Obama’s birth certificate was digitally fabricated; that Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are socialists; and that Hillary Clinton has health problems, among many other absurd claims.

She thinks it is even possible that the work of this conspiracy theorist goes back as far as claims that President Clinton cheated on Hillary and that Vince Foster did not kill himself in Fort Marcy Park.

Justice Ginsburg received a tip that the conspiracy theorist may be the same person as the real killer of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, and therefore she decided to team up with O.J. Simpson to find this person.
