… You can guess the rest.

The United States Office of Special Counsel, not to be confused with Robert Mueller’s special counsel, is a permanent independent federal investigative and prosecutorial agency designed to protect federal employees from reprisal for “whistleblowing.”

Lawyer Ty Clevenger obtained the documents as part of a lawsuit on behalf of businessman Ed Butowsky, who claims columnist Ellen Ratner told him murdered Democratic National Committee worker Seth Rich and his brother provided WikiLeaks the DNC emails before the 2016 election, not Russia.

Clevenger explained that the OSC prosecutors were noting that the FBI publicized its reactivation of the Clinton email investigation shortly before the 2016 election. So, why, the prosecutors wondered, did the FBI not counterbalance that disclosure by publicizing the “Russian collusion” investigation into Donald Trump?

It was in that context that one of the prosecutors commented that the White House wanted some kind of statement made about Russia.

Clevenger said that almost certainly refers to the Oct. 7, 2016, joint statement of the Department of Homeland Security and the Directorate of National Intelligence. The agencies said the “U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations.”

Source

With much of the document redacted its not clear exactly what the conclusions were. But lets assume that it does point to the Russians. At least in the minds of the intelligence agencies in question. As well there is a tie-in with Trump could be created.

I let you read the story as its poses the argument that the Obama WH was involved. That is becoming plain as day. I want to point out the second level impacts going forward, —

1/ The thrust was made in the recent Mueller hearings that the primary reason that Trump was not charged was due to internal memos from the DoJ Office of Legal Council that a sitting POTUS cannot be charged while in office. Well the fact that it is likely that Obama is the trigger for the whole investigation sinks that theory. Trump want not in office at the time the trigger was pulled hence the OLC ruling as a matter of process is moot from a Mueller perspective.

2/ It posses a unique danger to the Democrats. Having pressed the OLC theory that the ex-President can be charged post office. It will be hard to turn the boat on the theory when the target becomes Obama. They will have laid the procedural ground work to put Obama in the cross hairs.

3/ Assuming political wheels turn as slowly now as up to November, this whole thread of discovery and evidence should land sometime after summer hiatus 2020. Another words right when undecideds are considering their votes.

Not a 4D chess on Trumps end so much as it is a unearned error by the Obama team if this all proves out. Karma hurts.

Bc3b, the media DOES cover stories like this…with a PILLOW, until they stop moving

I pray that Barr is going to direct the DOJ to finally do the right thing!

“I pray that Barr is going to direct the DOJ to finally do the right thing!”

He better. If you think about it Trump has not had a DoJ/FBI team that was ‘his’ for nearly 3 years. Other than Sessions all of them were hold over from Obama. ‘Cuz it might look like cover up! if he cashiered them all. Sessions was useless, the Senate destroyed that man.

On reflection Trump might have been better served to have fired them all. Take the political heat. Bring someone like Barr and destroy the coup makers. It would have been quicker, more direct, and palpable to his followers. Trump was going to be hated no matter what so might as well do it the way he wanted.

Trump now has the media/Dems extolling the “virtues” of:
    – Al Sharpton
    – Baltimore
    – Socialism
    – Abortion up to and they birth at nine months
    – NO borders
    – Illegal aliens receiving preferential treatment over U.S. citizens
    – Colin Kaputnik
    – Decimating women’s sports because of LGTQBFXOP (whatever)

Did I miss any? His tweeting is forcing them to publicly support that which they were able to effectively hide before (well, “hide” from those eager to be duped)

He wasn’t what we wanted…turns out he is EXACTLY what we needed!

    JR #7 –

The media has demonstrated over and over that it is willing to sacrifice readers and ratings to support the Democrats and a leftist agenda.

CNN rated #6 in Mueller testimony viewership – behind FNC, MSNBC and the three “Alphabet Networks.” 25 years ago it likely would have ranked #1. CNN always was left of center but was tolerable until about 2005.

I assume this is what Mueller would consider ‘exoneration’.

These people are idiots. We believe in border security and decriminalizing illegal immigration.
How does that work. Climate changed disaster has moved from AOC 12 years from now to 2050 till we all die. Reparations are coming.

One observation Marianne Williamson for 67 is not bad looking and getting more applause than last time.
