Biden Attacks Japanese as “Xenophobic”

During a speech this week “Sleepy Joe” Biden accused the Japanese allowing mothers to enter/reenter the job market because of “xenophobia.” If you define “xenophobia” as loving your country and what’s best for it, the Japanese are definitely “xenophobic.”

Has the ever been a successful “culturally diverse” nation that has been successful? Many would say the United States, but they would be wrong. Until about 40 years ago, immigrants put there previous culture behind and adopted an “American culture.” They totally assimilated: learned English, followed our laws and adopted our customs.

They certainly celebrated their past nationality’s culture, but women of Polish descent didn’t go to work or college classes dressed like a polka queen as today’s Muslim immigrants run around dressed like escapees from the seventh century. The US government didn’t print forms in Spanish, Italian, German or French. There was no “Dial 2 for Swedish.” Black students were encouraged to study hard  and succeed in life through a strong family culture. People came to the US for freedom and to enjoy a better quality life through hard work, not government handouts.

The last thing the Democrats or the left (yes, that’s redundant) wants is assimilation. For them “cultural diversity” is a effective means of destroying the unity that made our nation so successful. If immigrants from Mexico never learn to speak English and kids from ghettos grow up dependent on government welfare, it means more power for the state.

An assimilated, integrated society is the last thing Joe Biden or the rest of the Democratic field wants.

Former Vice President Joe Biden seemed to suggest Japanese women are only employed because of “xenophobia” while campaigning on Wednesday.

Biden made the bizarre remark to a room full of voters in Spartanburg, South Carolina when discussing the “economic laws of physics.”

“You cannot succeed as a country if you leave more than half of your brainpower on the sidelines,” he said. “Not a joke, not a joke.”

To back up the point, Biden invoked Japan’s decision to abandon cultural norms surrounding women remaining employed after childbirth to counter its declining population.

“Japan is in a position where traditionally women are as well-educated as men, but the tradition was, once they had a child, they were to drop out of the job market,” Biden said, before rambling about his time working with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe — whom he mistakenly refereed to as “President Abe’— in the Obama administration.

When the 76-year-old Biden eventually returned to his point, he attacked Japan as “xenophobic.” Instead of praising the Asian nation for promoting the interest of its citizens in tandem with its economic goals, Biden claimed Japan was only encouraging women to remain in the job market in order to prevent the need to import foreign workers en masse.

“There’s an entire move, because they’re xenophobic — because they don’t want to invite other people from outside their country to come in and make up the workforce — they have fewer workers than they have a need for workers,” Biden said. “And so, what they’ve done is they’ve decided to encourage women to stay in the job market.”

The sentiment, although potentially controversial, is in line with those Biden has expressed on the topic of immigration since announcing his presidential campaign. Earlier this month, while campaigning in Iowa, Biden claimed the United States could afford to import another “two million” immigrants “in a heartbeat.”

Most of the vice president’s arguments in favor of increasing immigration have been made on economic grounds, even though studies have shown flooding the U.S. labor market with low-wage migrants is likely to come at the expense of working-class Americans.

(snip)

“This country can tolerate a heck of a lot more people,” the former vice president said at the second Democrat debate last month. “And the reason we’re the country we are is we’ve been able to cherry-pick from the best of every culture. Immigrants built this country.”

I hate to break this to you Joe, but in 2019 the US is hardly “cherry-picking” the best from every culture.

It appears Montgomery County (MD) – just outside DC – is “cherry-picking” the best from Central America:

MORE: According to detectives, Lopez-Guzman confessed to touching the elementary school-age boy’s genitals, claiming it was a “cultural joke” that’s “common in El Salvador.”

As the post states, the United States has gone from expecting immigrants to conform to our culture and mores to acceptance of them maintaining their own, regardless of what it is.

Social mores? Hell the TSA gropes more people every day than immigrants do in a week. And we put up with it as a culture for ‘safety’. Just sayin’.

we have a “cultural joke” in America for situations like described above…it’s called a “Remington 12-Guage”. And recipients ALWAYS get the message!

Another example of why air travel has become so dreadful. 40 years ago, flying was totally different. Flight attendants were stewardesses. There was sufficient room between seats. You were given something decent to eat. There was no charge for baggage. All that has changed.

When flying to the West Coast, I always tried to fly Continental (aka the Bird with the Golden Tail). Better than average meal. Hot towels after the meal in tourist class, other amenities.

I used to travel between Detroit and Cincinnati frequently. After 9-11 I stopped flying and rented a Hertz for my trips. It wasn’t that I was afraid of hijacking but simply wanted to avoid the hassle.
