Then there is this insightful ditty from the same individual —
“We’re not going to make a huge dent in this problem unless we deal with some underlying major social problems and issues,” she said.
“There’s a human tragedy happening in San Francisco.”
The Liberal Mind must have been guaranteed there would be not maths for their progressive (er, regressive) views. This is a simple matter of supply and demand.
- You provide free housing, you get more people who want the free housing. Lacking that they sleep in the streets. Providing MORE just increases the problem.
- Provide free needles, you get more people who want free needles. And of course not conscious of their own self worth they don’t consider others and dump their trash on the streets.
- Ham string the police from taking the necessary steps to get the people off the streets and they stay on the streets.
- Make your town look like a dump an yes, people will not wish to visit.
- Raise the taxes to provide all the services and soon the productive people move out and you lose all around in not having the revenue to run the city.
The real tragedy happening in San Fran is that the city leaders don’t have the guts to do what is necessary to clean up the situation. Their ‘compassion’ is killing the city.

In San Francisco (and most liberal meccas), there is no effort to solve underlying problems. Rather than working to get people off drugs, the emphasis is on needle exchanges and safe places to “shoot up.”
It’s almost that progressive cities are in competition to attract the homeless by seeing who can offer more.

The Left OWNS this State, and they maintain that ownership by sucking BILLIONS from the dwindling population of tax payers and funneling that money into “programs”. The “programs” become a river of money flowing past the greedy fingers of those politicians. The amount that actually reaches those who are supposed to benefit is but a fraction.
AND, if they ever addressed the root causes and made a difference, then the money for the “programs” would dry up. They NEED the problems so they can suck more money.

I’ve known one person who committed suicide – my former dentist. He was the last person you’d suspect to commit suicide – easy going, friendly, active in my parish and the local Catholic school.
For some reason dentists have a higher than the average suicide. The suicide rate among dentists is 1.67 times that of the average American. Perhaps Epstein went to dental school for a semester or two.
