– Winston Churchill

Trump should be so lucky!

“I rise because how dare the president compare lynching to impeachment. How dare he do this! Does he not know the history of lynching in this country?! Does he not know that thousands of African-Americans were lynched, mob violence?! Does he not know this is the equivalent of murder?!” – Rep. Al Green

I don’t agree with that language. – Kevin McCarthy

Well I remember when Clarence Thomas called his confirmation hearing a high-tech lynching. Obviously that’s hyperbole, and some people might find it offensive. – John Cornyn

Mr. Cornyn you might call up Thomas and ask for a second opinion cuz I think he would have a different view on it pubic hair coke can and all. Just sayin’.

What disturbs me most about this whole affair is that it is being conducted in secret like a moonshiner making lighting down in his basement on the down low. Schiff defends his choice of closed door ‘investigations’ thus –

The Republicans would like nothing better because they view their role as defending the president and being the president’s lawyers. If witnesses could tailor their testimony to other witnesses. They would love for one witness to be able to hear what another witness says so that they can know what they can give away and what they can’t give away,

He even goes so far as to imply they are being conducted akin to a Grand Jury. The problem with that theory is the Constitution does not define such a process except in the case of criminal trials which this is not.

Sad to say Adolf Hitler would have recevied better treatment than what is being conducted in Congress right now. The Nuremberg trials were conducted in public as were the indictments against those of the German regime of the period. Heck even the Witches of Salem had public indictments hurled against them. But it could get much worse. I suspect, though unproven, that Pelosi’s ploy will be to drag this out. Never have anything released except what Schiff leaks. Kill it all in the Rules Committee and never have a vote on the matter. At which point the Democrats will be conducting a witch hut on Trump’s taxes or some such.

Trump is no choir boy. On the other hand what is being conducted right now if taken to its final conclusion is setting up an open season on the Executive branch of government forever more.

Through all of this you have to wonder who are really the thugs? Trump or the Democrats? Place your bets.

Oh one other point for Al Green. The term lynching originated out of the revolutionary war when British loyalists were being hanged from lamp posts. Yeah, we honkeys got there first so suck on it.

Jabba the Hut (aka: Jerry Nadler) gave four speeches using the “Lynch mod” and “Lynching” terms…yet, oddly, the media didn’t seem to care. Weird huh?

Essay by Codevilla on how the officer corps is becoming subverted. A snip below.
    https://www.amgreatness.com/2019/10/19/who-the-hell-do-they-think-they-are/
” … we realize that these people have lost every war they have waged since 1945. Accommodating themselves to our corrupt ruling class, they have been happy enough to wage endless no-win wars which have killed as many Americans as did World War I. … thousands of Americans have been killed and maimed in Iraq and Afghanistan because senior officers did not object to the ruling class’s desire to use U.S. forces to settle foreign quarrels by operating in constantly replenished minefields. Living in minefields violates basic military common sense and ethics. But senior officers have prospered. Intertwined with the ruling class, they end their careers on defense contractors’ corporate boards and in villas on the golf course. … This ex-draftee is inclined to salute them with the middle finger.

    Should we worry?

    https://thefederalist.com/2019/10/21/a-drug-cartel-just-defeated-the-mexican-military-in-battle/
Armed with military-grade weapons and driving custom-built armored vehicles, cartel henchmen targeted security forces throughout Culiacan, launching more than one dozen separate attacks on Mexican security forces. They captured and held hostage eight soldiers, then kidnapped their families … The battle of Culiacan marks a turning point in the collapse of the Mexican state. There is now no doubt about who is in control of Sinaloa, let alone the rest of the country. Cartel forces seized a major regional capital city in broad daylight and defeated the national armed forces in open battle.

You may have read the news just a few days back: the Mexican military captured not one but two of El Chapo’s sons in the heart of Culiacán, the Sinaloan capital. One son freed himself—which is to say his entourage and retainers at hand overpowered and killed the soldiers at hand—and then, in a decisive riposte, seized the entire city center of Culiacán to compel the liberation of his brother.

The forces that emerged were in the literal sense awesome and awful. Heavy weaponry that would be familiar on any Iraqi, Syrian, or Yemeni battlefield was brought to bear. More and worse: custom-built armored vehicles, designed and built to make a Sahel-warfare technical look like an amateur’s weekend kit job, were rolled out for their combat debut. Most critically, all this hardware was manned by men with qualities the Mexican Army largely lacks: training, tactical proficiency, and motivation.

Then the coup de grace: as the Chapo sons’ forces engaged in direct combat with their own national military, kill squads went into action across Culiacán, slaughtering the families of soldiers engaged in the streets.

Take notes. In a CWII situation here, this tactic would be SOP to neuter LEOs supporting the regime.

My daughter graduated from Central Michigan University three years ago, but I still check the student newspaper online (particularly during football season).

One student had an op-ed calling for time off between Labor Day and Thanksgiving because it was so stressful.

    My reply:

Let’s compare your life to that of a male college student in the late 1960s/early 1970s:
    * Nam. If he wasn’t out in four years he got a new draft classification plus the worry of service after graduation.
    * Friday classes back then. No three day weekend to study or write papers.
    * No internet. Just a library search for source documents could take several hours.
    * Find the source documents on microfiche, copy them and key them into your document.
    * Smith-Caronas didn’t automatically advance to the next line, have formatting, spellcheck or correct for grammar and conciseness. There was white-out for corrections. If you found an error after removing a page, it likely meant re-typing the entire page.

Students back then didn’t complain about stress or no off time between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. And, they didn’t seem to have the emotional problems today’s generation suffers.

So tell us again how stressful your life is, Hunter.

    Suck it up, Buttercup!

    BC,

Saw the EV-1 in a demo at a car show. Kinda of look like a Prius, just a bit fatter. We looked at a Chevy Bolt for the SO since she does mostly in town driving. Ended up with a Honda Fit. I could see a electric car in my future. But still they need to improve the reliability of the batteries. I would not be happy roasting marshmallows as my Tesla burned up.

Katie Hill will probably wind up on the Democrat ticket at this rate. Is there already a letter in LGTBQIURWV (or whatever) that describes her???

p.s. those of here in North Korea (aka: Kalifornia) are without power again. The windspeed is AVERAGING 1 mph. ONE. We had 3 hours YESTERDAY when it was about TEN mph. We have been without power now for 24 hours…and they will most likely leave it off for DAYS. On the “plus” side, we are getting to experience what life will be like under the Green New Deal.

I hope yours is restored soon too.

Of course, just because there’s a fire is no reason keep the power off.

34 – When you have 95% of the msm helping you out (and going full force against your opponents and the WH) at every turn do you really need all that much money at this point, or for that matter even later on? Goes for all of the motley crew of candidates. I remember when Jeb! had raised ~120mil by late fall\early winter 2015, how did that work out?
