Is the Dem Establishment Afraid of Biden & Bernie?

2020 January 27
by bc3b

The Democratic Clown Car keeps moving left. Bernie and Biden are leading in the polls, Biden nationally and Bernie in the early primary states. This concerns the Democratic establishment, including our not-so-objective media. They are worried about Biden because of his gaffs and the fact that his entire family cashed in on his being Obama’s vice president. They are concerned about Bernie because of the Stalinist supporters that Project Veritas has exposed and what would happen when anyone puts a calculator to the Commie’s stated plans, which he admits he doesn’t know what they will cost.

They know Trump would destroy either Slow Joe or Bernie. That’s why the Democratic establishment is looking for candidates that can gain enough working class voters and along with the crazies so they can cobble together enough states to win. The New York Times has endorsed Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar while the equally far-left Des Moines Register has endorsed Lie-A-Watha. You may remember the Des Moines Register faced backlash for exposing the seven year-old racist tweet of an Iowa man who raised $1 million for charity last fall. The man was a high school student when he re-Tweeted a racist joke. The Register fired the writer, not because he did anything wrong in the paper’s eyes, but because of a nationwide backlash and cancelled subscriptions.

In case anyone doesn’t realize Joe Biden is the dumbest man in the room, he intends to prove he is. Slow Joe’s best hope for winning the Democratic presidential nomination is to convince the voters he isn’t as extreme as the rest of the pack (basically Klobuchar’s strategy). Instead, Slow Joe seems determined to demonstrate that he is as crazy left as the rest of the field. The most recent example:

In a tweet on Saturday Former Vice President Joe Biden openly supported the transgender agenda, unequivocally declaring, “Transgender equality is the civil rights issue of our time.”

The transgender movement remains a point of cultural contention. Among the hotly debated issues is whether biological men who identify as women should be allowed to use women’s bathrooms and compete in women’s sports.

But Biden is not the only candidate publishing eyebrow-raising comments this week. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has pledged that as president, a minimum of half her cabinet will consist of women and non-binary people.

She promises to “Build a Cabinet and senior leadership team that reflects the full diversity of America, including having at least 50% of Cabinet positions filled by women and non binary people.” She also commits to “Ensure representation of LGBTQ+ people across all levels of government, including in leadership roles.”

According to the RCP poll average former Vice President Joe Biden currently leads the race for the Democratic nomination nationally, while Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren come in second and third, respectively.

The media keeps punting on the “elephant in the room.” What do you tell a girl who got cut from the basketball team because three biological males (who couldn’t make the boys’ team are starters on the girls’ varsity? What’s the point in having Title IX?

A transgender who couldn’t make the men’s finals is a women’s Division 2 track champion. A few weeks ago a biological male was the Big Sky Conference “female athlete of the week.” Two high school boys dominated girls’ high school track and field. Biological males won girls’ state championships in wrestling (Texas) and track (Alaska). A junior college with a biological male goalie is dominating the league in soccer.

Doris Miller manned a machine gun a Pearl Harbor (they showed his character in the movie Tora … Tora … Tora). He was killed about two years later when his ship was torpedoed by the Japanese.

I think he’s an excellent choice (unlike Harvey Milk).

A strategist would bring your observation into being. Force those on the Left to choose. 1) The truth that there are only two sexes hence Title IX stands, or 2) Sex is a fairy tale making Title IX moot and to be legally scrapped.

You can’t have both Libs, so choose. Hence their problem. They can screw the Drag Queens or they can screw the Feminists.

Actually it’s not the feminists the Democrats have to worry about; it’s the parents of girl athletes. If Molly gets cut from the girls’ basketball team because 2-3 guys made the team, Molly’s parents are p!ssed. So are the parents of Molly’s friends.

Feminists only care about one thing – abortion (up to and even after birth).

Your point exactly, Eph. This morning we were on the phone with a female client (fortysomehing, lives in the Seattle area) who was totally shaken by Kobe’s death. She is an NBA fan; I am not. Several years ago, my printer (also the Pistons’ printer) gave me four center court tickets with a parking pass. I gave them to an assistant so she could take her husband and two kids.

Like you implied, it’s not like it was a hot cheerleader or ice girl.

Excellent observation. My daughter was not much into sports but she did do ice skating competitions. I would be quite perturbed if they let males compete in girls competition. It would also be quite interesting to see ‘pairs skating’ competitions.

Apparently Kobe used a helicopter to commute from his home to the Staples Center as it often took an hour and a half by car.

While it a tragedy for his family, it’s an even greater tragedy for other families that aren’t financially set for life.

I rode in a helicopter once; that was enough!

drdog09 #12 – Are there any biological males in figure skating who aren’t LGBTQ+++?

Good question for which I have no answer. I would observe that figure skating much like hockey requires a combination of perseverance and physical training. As a % the LGBTQ+++ community lacks that combination compared to the population as a whole. Which is a pretty low standard considering how low it is for the general population.

There’s a major difference. Hockey players beat the sh!t out of one another. Attend Flint Firebirds (16-19) games. Last month we had front row seats. No problem; I just set my can of Labatt’s on the ledge of the boards. It worked fine until some a-hole from Soo Ste. Marie decided to take one of the Firebirds hard into the boards right in front of us. There went my Labatt’s.

Lest you think these young Canadians and a few Belarusians’education is lacking, they attend Grand Blanc High School in an upscale suburb.

One of the dumbest things in hockey is announcing the starting lineup. Within 90 seconds, there’s a line change and every “starter” except the goaltender is off the ice,

If Trump has made any mistakes, it’s mostly the people he appointed to key positions. I was (mistakenly) happy when he appointed Jeff Sessions Attorney. But, I said to myself “Why did he pick that @$$hole?” when I heard of Bolton’s appointment.

Symptom of inbreeding. You have people coming from the same schools, think tanks, etc. No fresh thoughts or even consideration that maybe an idea is even needed. The world is changing in ways not even considered and the East-Coast-Cabal is still playing by the old school rules because it benefits them.

Consider as a policy statement — “Globalism is dying never to reach fruition. The world will look very much like the world of the 1890’s of regional empires and mercantile connections.”

If one believes that is the case, then look at America’s deployment abroad. We are not even positioned to protect our core interests — N&S America and remnants of the Anglosphere.

    PowerLine: Bernie surges in CA

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is now the outright leader in voter preferences in California’s upcoming March 3rd Democratic presidential primary. The latest Berkeley IGS Poll completed last week finds Sanders to be the choice of 26% of likely voters in the Democratic primary. Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is second at 20%, followed by former Vice President Joe Biden at 15%. No other Democrat is in double digits. . .

    Well, well, well.
Goldberg wrote in the column that it is “no longer far-fetched to think that Sanders could be the Democratic nominee,” and added that she is “terrified” about his chances in a general election contest with President Donald Trump. She goes on to reel off potential attacks Sanders will face, noting the existence of footage of him praising the Soviet Union and attending anti-American rallies in Nicaragua.

Unmentioned in the column is that Goldberg’s husband Matthew Ipcar is a top executive at Blue State Digital, a design firm that has been paid $1,080,972 by Warren’s presidential campaign, according to Federal Election Commission records.

Then, the couple got an easement to access the land and divided it into three parcels. The easement, granted by the Virgin Islands territorial government, gave them the right to use an existing driveway to the property that cut across government land. A year later, in May 2006, the Bidens sold the northernmost parcel, just over a third of an acre, to Green and his wife, Julie, according to property records.

The price, again, was $150,000. In effect, James and Sara Biden had gotten their money back while keeping most of the land — recouping their investment in just 12 months.

45 – I don’t know his spending in CA, but I can tell you his ads in the last week or so are now in GA and beyond that they are to the annoyingly every other commercial break level. I think he was still in the single digits here last I saw, but it was high singles, which I only remember because it was higher than he was pulling in most other early states, though it was weird still I remembered the shit show that is StacyA.
