What if They Held an Impeachment …

… and no one cared?

Other than the Democrats and the media, who has been talking about the impeachment trial? Certainly not the people most of us work or socialize with.

Television viewership of the trial has been disappointingly low (for the media and the Democrats). Interestingly, of those who followed the first day of the trial: FNC had the highest ratings, followed by MSNBC, then the “alphabet networks” with CNN in last place (which has become familiar territory). The Senate gallery was only half full Friday.

The trial’s television ratings and public’s lack of interest demonstrate a number of things:

  1. To the dismay of the Democrats and the media, most Americans realize this is nothing but a political stunt and aren’t following it.
  2. People following the trial are highly political (which is why FNC and MSNBC were #1 and #2).
  3. Leftists want “the real thing,” which is why they are watching MSNBC rather than CNN.
  4. The American public realizes what CNN has become, which is why independents overwhelmingly chose the “alphabet networks” over CNN. There was a time (e.g. First Gulf War) when people immediately turned to CNN for breaking news. Those days ended long ago.
  5. Apparently CNN and its  parent, AT&T, aren’t concerned that no one is watching their propaganda channel. Under Jeff Zucker’s “leadership”, NBC ranked last among the four broadcast networks. CNN is last among cable news/opinion networks.
  6. The Democrats are right to be concerned.

Seemingly on the DL, emergency evacs starting for US citizens in China.

btw ‘official’ numbers in that article are already old, as of about 2hr after that article was published, 2100+ confirmed cases/60 confirmed deaths (including 3 doctors initially involved in treating people), cities under official quarantine inside china now upped to 18 (56million in pop total).

I may actually watch some of the President’s team responding on Monday. They say they’ll attack…I hope they do!

P.s., the virus coming out of China was almost certainly created by them!

JR- Rumors are being floated they may have stole a sample from a Canadian lab, and did god only knows what with it at their lab in… Wuhan.

In March 2019, in mysterious event a shipment of exceptionally virulent viruses from Canada’s NML ended up in China. The event caused a major scandal with Bio-warfare experts questioning why Canada was sending lethal viruses to China. Scientists from NML said the highly lethal viruses were a potential bio-weapon.

Following investigation, the incident was traced to Chinese agents working at NML. Four months later in July 2019, a group of Chinese virologists were forcibly dispatched from the Canadian National Microbiology Laboratory (NML). The NML is Canada’s only level-4 facility and one of only a few in North America equipped to handle the world’s deadliest diseases, including Ebola, SARS, Coronavirus, etc.

    Purported Wuhan resident speaks out:
With public transport and gas stations shut down sick people (even non-virus like deep cuts, broken bones, heart attack, …) have no way to get to medical facilities.
Even if you get to a hospital, you’ll be in line for hours; plus, if you weren’t infected when you got there you’ll probably be exposed by the time you get treated.

    In other news:
    Restaurants empty.
Gov’t workers told to cancel holiday and come back to work.
New movies released to hit the holiday season showing in near-empty theaters.
Small companies in danger of bankruptcy due to the dislocation.
Mass cancellations of train, bus, plane reservations. Transport companies directed to give full refunds.
Streets empty, even family gatherings canceled, people inventorying pantries to gauge if they can get by cooking at home without going out grocery shopping.

The Chi Coms have stolen technology from western countries for decades. This time it may have blown up in their faces.

On a more pleasant note, I went with a friend to an Oakland University (lower level Division 1) basketball game yesterday. I am pleased to report that the dance team went from PG to PG-14 uniforms this year. Hopefully they will continue to progress.

Chin Com culture plays in the virus outbreak. Modus Operandi is to fire everyone should one person point to a break in procedure. That kind of attitude means nobody reports violations of protocol. In a containment situation that is a route for massive failure.

You step back and watch this whole impeachment fiasco and ya have wonder what was Pelosi’s motive? She knew going in it was a no win scenario. Its why she resisted doing it for so long from the Prog side of her caucus. Did she expect it to silence those to her Left? That currently does not seem to be working. Use Trump so she can dump on the Prog side of her caucus? Essentially tag them with a failure? Any ideas?

Kobe lived in newport beach. He has owned the copter for years, he flew into all the home games.

Newport to Staples center can often be an hour and a half each way.

Pelosi and all the Dems know that media will glorify whatever they do. That was her plan. The Dems throw tons of shit out there, and the media spins it into gold. Look at Schiff’s “presentations” to the Senate. Pure, Grade-A horseshit…but the media pretended it was THE greatest orations in the history of mankind (really). Schiff could literally have read the instructions assembling a desk from IKEA, over & over, and the media would have said the SAME THING.

    JR, 19,

True and probably worked a decade ago. But CNN that was a gold standard when Turner created it, is now trash. MSNBC not far behind. The rest of the Alphabets can’t even draw a crowd a tenth of the size what Eric Severid could draw and he was second fiddle to Cronkite.

Its the ole ‘forest….hear it’ problem. I don’t think it is a plausible tactic anymore. The press sells down with Trump because, well I don’t know why. When Trump was running the press covered him because he was not expected to win but he sold airtime like a banshee. Now they are taking the opposite approach they are playing to a much smaller audience who are looking for a hail mary pass.

Maybe Pelosi still thinks the press has merit like bad advertising.

19 – bingo. The facts don’t matter anymore, just the theater, and they’re much better at it, so that’s the game they’re playing, and not even hiding it anymore.

20 – idk, seems to still be working well enough to me, including all their well timed coordination, which the gop seems to walk right into, every fking time like clockwork. Most present example…not just dismissing this shit from the get go, and letting them finish on a Friday, zero people watching on a sat morning (no matter how strong it was), followed by a coordinating faux chaos early monday to mute the hours more of strong rebuttal. Couple people predicted exactly this would happen early last week…does it matter in the end…idk, but they win the ‘theater’ game constantly. Only thing got in the way a bit was Kobe’s death sucking up some of the cycles. Prepare for this to drag out for weeks now with witness btw, as the rinos are very likey to fall for this latest play, romney already pushing for it, hope I’m wrong.

  28. 2020 January 27 6:38 am

27 – That’s Biden… slow joe, Jeb was “low energy”.

    Thanks for the correction.

“… which the gop seems to walk right into, every fking time like clockwork.” That very well maybe the crux of it. So long as the fog of that bubble that is DC works from the MSM angle its worth the effort. I just don’t know many of my friends and coworkers who think highly of the political BS.

31, that’s long but REALLY good.
What stands out to me is rebuilding actual patriotism. Being proud of America. Being proud to be an American. Feeling a strong bond towards our fellow citizens. It’s not said but: not selling out our secrets to the nation’s enemies for a bag of silver because we don’t care.
Recognizing America as special. Making America special through our actions.
    It’s pretty moving actually

  32. 2020 January 27 8:08 am

30 – All the theater isn’t for you or me, or probably your friends or mine, it’s for all those who’s extent of following the news\politics is what they hear on their drive to and from work, deceptive headlines plastered on their phones, and maybe during a few minutes of catching tv ‘news’ while eating dinner – and sadly most of those people vote on just what they ‘hear’.

33, good point. More and more are learning you have to stay informed. Eventually the nation turns into Venezuela otherwise. Still a minority though.

In the meantime, Dem caught on video showing illegals how to vote.

CA residents should decline to participate in the Census. This state already has too many HoRs.
