A Master Stroke of Image and Delivery

2020 February 5

Yes the SOTU.

Trump, like so many POTUS’s before him, ticked off the usual platitudes. American greatness, destiny, history, future. But there was something else about this speech to consider. But first —

* The little girl and her mother.
* The Tuskegee airman.
* Tribute to Limbaugh.
* The 6 stripe army vet with a surprise return.
* And on and on.

The delivery was pitch perfect. Whoever the writer was knew the cadence of who was to deliver it.

Finally this speech reminded most Americans what we have lost listening to the Leftist naboobs of nothingness. That we don’t have to ‘live like this’ if we just rise up and grasp our individual futures.

Which means Trump started his political campaign last night and whomever the Dim nominee is, they have already lost.

    Piggy tearing up the speech was a set piece in my opinion. I suspect she will regret doing so.

    All those Dim women wearing their white blouses looked like a congressional meeting of the KKK. AOC being grand pooba.

    Reagan was a great orator having been an actor and communist killer. Somehow though Trump understands the Small Screen much better than Reagan ever did. Have no proof and am not a TV producer, its just gut and the fact that I slept in a Holiday Inn last night.

    The media is, of course, furiously spinning Nancy’s ripping the speech up as a tit-for-tat response to Trump not shaking her hand. Pathetic…but par for the deranged media’s course. Nancy was going to rip that speech up no matter what Trump did or said. He could have fallen at her feet as he walked out and kissed her cloven-hooves, and she STILL would have ripped it up. It was all planned theater.

    I think anyone except the most deranged denizens of the Democrat Party was outraged…and if they weren’t, they oughta be.

    Remember this, because the next time a Democrat does win the Presidency, the media and Dems are going to DEMAND “civility & decorum”…and lecture all of US 24×7.

    drdog09: But where were the illegal aliens, late term-abortionists, black power hate mongers, drag queen library readers and jihadists that Obama used to recognize?

    Seriously, Trump and his staff did a great job in selecting honored guests. With the Tuskegee Airman and his great grandson, the girl who received a scholarship and the man whose brother was killed by an illegal, he appealed for the black vote without pandering.

    The two year old girl who was born prematurely (21 weeks and weighing under a pound at birth) and her mother sent a powerful message about the evil of late-term abortion.

    Trump’s “honored guests,” unlike Obama’s, were people you’d love having as next door neighbors.

    The most enjoyment of the evening was watching Pelosi’s facial expressions and body language. For the few that didn’t hate the old hag before the SOTU, many of those likely do now.

    The key figure in the poll is that 82% of independent voters approved. You have to believe that Republicans would approve (especially now that Bill Kristol is a registered Democrat), and Democrats would disapprove.

    I watched Pelosi throughout the speech. She acted like a petulant child throughout the address. Ripping up the speech was simply icing on the cake. If you noticed, she started to rip the speech and realized the camera was off her and waited until it was on her again before continuing to rip it up.

    She had to be upset that Trump was hitting all the right notes, particularly with the “honored guests” he invited.

    Very likely Jones and San Fran Nan had communal prayer sessions in which they also prayed for the President (that he’d drop dead) and for 62 million aborted babies.

    I think you are correct in that Jones realizes his days are numbered. My only hope is that his successor will be Tommy Tuberville rather than Jeff Sessions (version 2.0).

    Everything sounded good until the message talked about “discrimination”.
    Hope this is NOT like AIDS where they didn’t take action due to PC concerns and then it was too late. From my County Health Dept.
    You probably saw the news about employees at a local hospital. Because these employees were in close contact with a confirmed case of the new coronavirus, the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department gave them legal and specific instructions to stay at home and monitor their symptoms. When it comes to healthcare facilities, we are being extremely cautious. The goal of these actions is to prevent any further spread of the virus and to protect the health of the community.

    What is a close contact? A close contact is someone who spent time face-to-face with a confirmed case for an extended period, such as days or hours. The Public Health Department is investigating and contacting people who were close contacts because they are at greatest risk of developing a novel coronavirus infection. The Public Health Department is also following up with people who had lesser degrees of contact.

    Patients, visitors, vendors and other workers who were in waiting rooms or shared indoor spaces with a confirmed novel coronavirus case are not close contacts. Walking by the person or being briefly in the same room is not considered close contact.

    It is critical that Bay Area residents take reasonable precautions but not let their fears lead to discrimination. I encourage you to stay alert and stay informed, but for now you do not need to change your daily routine or activities.
