Is Sanders Unstoppable?/Nevada Caucus Results

2020 February 22

Just from Friday’s thehill.com:

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/483944-rivals-worry-sanders-building-insurmountable-super-tuesday-lead

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/484000-sanders-gaining-ground-on-biden-with-black-voters-poll

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/483959-sanders-leads-primary-field-in-north-carolina-texas-klobuchar-has-edge-in

https://thehill.com/hilltv/rising/483868-ryan-grim-candidates-assumed-the-premise-that-sanders-would-take-the-most

In addition to millennials, Sanders is gaining strength with blacks and Latinos.  Time to start a rumor that Breadline Bernie has information that can send Hillary to prison? That could end his campaign quickly.

    Sorry, off topic. But interesting.

THE JIHAD MURDER IN FLORIDA YOU HEARD NOTHING ABOUT:

A 17-year-old, Corey Johnson, murdered a 13-year-old, Jovanni Alexander Sierra, and stabbed two others in Florida in 2018, and this week it was reported that the victim’s family is suing the Publix grocery store chain for selling Johnson the knife, as the sale violated a Florida law that prohibits the sale of knives to anyone under age 18. That’s all well and good, but there is a good deal more to this story: this was a jihad massacre committed in the name of Islam and in accord with its teachings, but it has been swept under the rug. Apparently it doesn’t fit the establishment media narrative.

    From the yahoo link
“In the final result of a caucus at the famed Bellagio hotel on the Las Vegas strip, Sanders finished with 76 votes, Biden had 45 and no other candidate ended with a vote.

Workers at the hotel, who are members of the Culinary Workers Union, streamed out of the caucus after backing Sanders despite their leadership expressing reservations about his healthcare plan.”

With 50% in, Sanders has 46.6%. Butt Boy is now at 15%. Lie-A-Wata moved up sightly – all at the expense of Biden. It appears Sanders was the only winner yesterday. If Lie-A-Watha, Klobuchar or Steyer drop out, it will likely benefit Mini Mike although some of Lie-A-Watha’s support could go to Bernie.

I see Steyer dropping out first. He spent a ton in Nevada. He may be a billionaire but he doesn’t have a fraction of what Mini Mike has.

It is awesome watching the Democrats melt down over the prospect of their nominee being EXACTLY what their Party represents! They need someone who can PRETEND to be a “Centrist” just long enough to win, and/or run on some fuzzy slogan like, I dunno, ‘Hope & Change’.

But Bernie is just, well, Crazy Bernie. And Crazy Bernie has millions of followers who believe he will take everyone ELSE’S “stuff” and give it to them…while letting them keep whatever “stuff” they personally have! AND (here’s the magical part) all the people who have the stuff they have taken away to hand out to others, will work even HARDER to get more stuff…so it can be taken away!

When Geroge Orwell wrote ‘Animal Farm’ he intended it to allegorically drive a stake through the heart of Communism and Socialism. Then Bernie (and the Dems) stumble across a copy and think: “Hey, this a How-To book”. Naturally, they then went looking for what else this Orwell fella wrote, and they found ‘1984’…the companion “How-To” book that explains how you keep the Proles in line if they object to having their stuff taken, and/or when they run completely out of stuff (which ALWAYS happens, see: Venezuela)

A new one to me! Desperate Libs try to come up with ways to disenfranchise conservatives … new and imaginative ways.

THE GROWING DESPERATION OF OUR RULING CLASS: The Lost 110 Words of Our Constitution. A friend on Facebook comments:

Well, here’s a Georgetown Law professor and national-security eminence speculating openly upon mechanisms for stripping conservative states of self-governance. In brief, the Fourteenth Amendment provides for reduction in representation for states that unjustly restrict the franchise; the received wisdom on the left is that voter-ID laws and comparable measures qualify; therefore states with them should have their national representation in the Congress reduced.

Set aside the empirical weakness of the case: specifically that voter-ID laws and the like have not appeared to suppress voting by anyone in any meaningful way, as the turnout numbers of the past decade amply demonstrate. Focus instead on the intent, which is that Acela-Corridor types are growing increasingly creative — and overt — in their efforts to find means of retaining and extending their rule over the rest of us.

    36,

    Lets parse this….

    Sec 3

Representatives shall be apportioned among the several states according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each state, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the executive and judicial officers of a state, or the members of the legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such state, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such state.

    1) Notice first of all at least for POTUS or VPOTUS its about the electors not the general election at all. That might be a problem for the drive to mandate that the majority vote is the deciding electors vote cast.
    2) Women don’t count?? That too could be a problem in this intersectional world we live in.
    3) Being proportional, how do you count the number denied for something that cannot be proven? That could easily backfire if it could be proven that NY say suppressed conservative votes.
    4) Finally this section “except for participation in rebellion, or other crime,” makes it pretty clear that the third generation of Americans still did not want riff-raff voting in elections. Could be that VA’s desire to have criminals vote in elections might run afoul of this??

Alot of trip wires here that might make them think twice.

I do have one thought. What if the DNC ‘rolls over’ on this election? Senior members of the Dim party have to know that to even close to beating Trump they need someone other than Sanders but they get Sanders anyway. At that point DNC just goes thru the motions and set Sanders up for the biggest loss since McGovern. Big money sits it out as well saving their monies for 2024.

The advantage for the Dims in this scenario? They flush the AOC and Sanders brigade from the party. Consider it a political vaccination. Then get back to usual business of destroying the country again. Just what their side of the swamp wants.

51 – I don’t think they want to do that because they’ll be worried about down ticket races, especially senate races where gop is defending more than last round, not to mention state legislatures etc. They sure as hell don’t want a second term trump with a gop house or even the exact same senate as today, let alone one that might be ever so slightly better. I think though if they are willing to write off the top, they’d stick bloomy in there so it costs them less money and they can milk him for down-state $ in return while they just put all their effort and focus there (which still benefits top since much of it is the registration\ havesting\fraud etc).

Interesting read on innovation and Silicon Valley — https://archive.ph/cMONh

However I think the author misses a key point — money. At the turn of the last century innovation could be done in the back of the garage funded by a lone man with a drive to experiment. This century all that low hanging fruit has been plucked. It takes teams and money to drive the next level of innovation.

Design, re. #51 above …I think four more years of Trump would solidify his (and our) gains, and the Dems know it, so this is make or break for them. I also think that a lot of people, at home and abroad, are holding their waiting to see what happens. At home a lot Swamp Creatures are praying (to Satan) that Trump is defeated…else he really WILL go after them with a vengeance. And abroad, I think the Russuans, Chinese, Iranians and North Koreans will be much more “agreeable” if faced with 4 more Trump years.

All that said, I think the Dems will throw EVERYTHING at the wall this time…way more so than 2016, which hardly seems possible. And because the media, knows THEIR neck is on the line this time, they will invent even MORE shit…again, if that’s possible
