Why Did the US Government Fund Wuhan Virus Lab?

The federal government funds some pretty stupid things:

  • Hundreds of millions for public broadcasting for rich liberals who can afford subscription radio and television programming
  • The U.S. National Institutes of Health spent $442,340 to study the behavior of male prostitutes in Vietnam
  • The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services paid a $800,000 subsidy to build an IHOP in Washington, D.C
  • The National Science Foundation received $856,000 in funding from the Federal Government to conduct a study to see if it is possible to train Lions to walk on a treadmill
  • The U.S. Federal Government spent 2.6 million dollars in advertising to encourage Chinese prostitutes to drink responsibly
  • The U.S. Federal Government has spent 27 million dollars to teach people in Morocco to design and create pottery
  • The Federal Government spent 146 million dollars so that Federal employees could upgrade their flights to Business Class
  • The U.S. National Institutes of Health funded a $592,527 study to explain why Chimpanzees throw their feces

As stupid and wasteful as these expenditures were, they pale in comparison to $3.7-million to help fund the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where coronavirus may have originated.

Back in 2015, when Barack Obama was president, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) sent a $3.7 million grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a lab that grew coronaviruses and injected them into animals. It is quite feasible that the novel coronavirus responsible for the COVID-19 global pandemic leaked from that lab, and U.S. Intelligence sources have been saying that the virus came from a Level-4 lab in Wuhan. During his coronavirus press conference on Friday, President Donald Trump pledged to stop the funding.

“Why would the U.S. give a grant like that to China?” a reporter asked.

“The Obama administration gave them a grant of $3.7 million, I’ve been hearing about that, and we’ve instructed that if any grant going to that area — we’re looking at it, literally, about an hour ago — and also early in the morning, we will end that grant very quickly,” Trump said. “But it was granted quite a while ago. They were granted quite a substantial amount of money.”

He asked the reporter when the grant was given, and she said the NIH granted it in 2015.

“Who was president, then, I wonder?” Trump quipped.

Who, indeed? Why none other than Barack Obama.

Last Friday, the conservative-leaning animal rights organization White Coat Waste Project alerted The Washington Examiner to the grant, and intelligence sources began to converge on the Wuhan lab earlier this week.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology, the most advanced laboratory of its kind on the Chinese mainland, is based a mere twenty miles from the infamous wildlife market which was originally thought to be the location of the transfer of the virus from animals to humans. The sequencing of the coronavirus genome has traced the virus back to bats found in Yunnan caves. The Wuhan Institute was experimenting on bats from the area already known to be the source of COVID-19.

Naturally, the revelation that American taxpayers bankrolled the lab that may be responsible for the virus caused no little consternation.

“When I learned our government was spending taxpayers’ money at China’s disgusting wet markets to buy and slaughter cats and dogs for cruel experiments, I helped lead the successful effort to stop it last year,” said Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said in a statement. “I’m disgusted now to learn that, for years, the U.S. government has been funding dangerous and cruel animal experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which may have contributed to the global spread of coronavirus, and research at other labs in China that have virtually no oversight from U.S. authorities.”

“It’s unnecessary and unacceptable for American taxpayers to fund these institutions, and it has to end now,” Gaetz said.

The White Coat Waste Project praised Trump’s decision to cut the Wuhan lab funding.

“We applaud President Donald Trump for taking swift and decisive action to ensure that American taxpayers are not forced to pay for wasteful and treacherous animal experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” the project’s founder and president, Anthony Bellotti, said in a statement. “Just one week ago, White Coat Waste Project released a blockbuster exposé, which revealed to the world how the National Institutes of Health had given China’s sloppy, state-run bio-agent laboratory part of a $3.7 million taxpayer-funded grant for dangerous animal experiments on coronavirus-infected bats—experiments that put human lives at risk.”

While it’s easy to blame Barack Obama for this funding (and as much as I loathe the man), I am not going there. The simple fact is that he was not likely personally aware of the funding and the decision was probably made by a mid-level or upper-level NIH bureaucrat.

Take a look at the listing above. How do any of those expenditures benefit the country or tax-paying Americans?

With the coronavirus stimulus we have added another $2.3-trillion to the federal debt, we need to take greater control of government spending. We have to eliminate pork in congressional budgets. The President needs item veto power and strict rules must be put in place that prevent government bureaucrats from wasting he citizens’ money from capriciously making grants, especially when the grants go to the enemies of the United States.

Hey are those chicks what they grew in the virus lab?

On another note of total bat$hit crazy insanity, I found a theme song for all those cowering leftists who think they can lock themselves up for months on end and eat the digits in their back account after the food system collapses because they refuse to allow any commerce:

the Governor of North Carolina is really trying to out-do the chick from Michigan. Amid the restrictions on Churches that choose to do outdoor services is this: “No tithes”. hmmm…so you can pay CASH at a drive-thru burger joint, but can’t put CASH (or even a check) in an offering plate.

So they intend to shut down the food chain and leave shutdowns in place?
“Women and minorities hardest hit” indeed!!

Check out the conclusion of the spam article.
“As virus deaths surge across the country in the last several days, President Trump is attempting to reopen economies on a state-by-state basis on May 01. However, it appears that reopening America at this point could be met with failure and result in a second wave of the virus.”

    All Trump’s fault.
    As usual.
But the “surge” of deaths is due to the CARES Act which caused a wave of Cause of Death reclassifications.
And if the reopen, all that will happen is a bunch of people will get the flu then recover. The death rate on this is low.

As pro-American as I may be…gotta say, Miss USA is too gaunt for my taste. And I don’t like harsh, sharp-edged facial structures on women…just doesn’t seem as feminine as a softer, curvier look. Not saying she isn’t pretty…obviously she is. Just not my cup o’ tea. To my eye, Miss Australia looks more All-American than Miss USA.

An important study released yesterday out of Stanford indicates that this virus appears to be 50x to 80x more prevalent than originally thought (see Source #1). Thus, the mortality rate is 50x to 80x LESS than previous assumptions. In other words, pretty good chance most of us reading this have been exposed already, and maybe even had a light case of it.

Considering the fact that the vast majority of the fear and media focus has been centered on how deadly this virus is, this new data most definitely changes the dynamics. But as I have been saying for over a month now, everything can change on a dime as we learn more. We know more than we did a week ago…and certainly more than we did a month ago.

To show how fast the timeline is moving: 6 weeks ago, nothing was closed and the stock market was flying high. Just 2 weeks later in mid-March, the world seemed like it was ending, the financial markets were in free-fall, the curve was doubling every 48 hours, college kids were rushing home and there were apocalyptic “black plague” projections of 2 million US deaths and 10% fatality rates. Today, just a few weeks later, the curve has flattened worldwide, Italy, Spain & NYC are well past the apex, the stock markets are climbing back, new drug protocols (see source #2) are showing great promise, testing is here, and important new data is emerging almost daily. And I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have toilet paper.

All this transpired over the course of: SIX…WEEKS…

And what about six weeks from now? Projections show the new infection rate will be statistically near zero. The US daily death rate, currently around 2000/day is projected to be down to 8 per day by June 1st. By June 17th, the US fatality rate should be at ZERO (see source #3).

Oh, and this is pretty important. If you recall, the reason for all the lockdowns, business shut downs and restrictions was never intended to PREVENT the spread…actually most health professionals feel that it’s a foregone conclusions that it will like all viruses. The only reason for the lockdowns was to “flatten the curve” because the huge risk was too many people contracting it at once and overwhelming the healthcare system (ICU beds and ventilators). Remember, running out of ventilators was all the MSM could talk about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Now that all ventilator shortage deaths never materialized the way they hoped, the MSM has gone crickets on that facet. And the Dems are screaming bloody murder at the mere thought of restarting our economy.

Typical of the Dems & MSM “Look over here…oh, wait don’t look there anymore, look here instead.” I think the public is waking up to this game of 3 card monte. People are starting to questions, listen, and challenge themselves to seek truth over sensationalization and agenda driven opinion. Critical thought is more important than ever.

The NC Governor has gone full on communist. Widespread election fraud got him into office, and he is actively putting rules in place for even more in November. The citizens are restricted, unable to enjoy their constitutionally protected rights. Freedom is a fleeting thing, and here in N.C., it is gone.

Michigan’s Operation Gridlock Lansing definitely had an effect on “Gretch the Wretch.” Have North Carolinians become so pussifed by Yankee transplants that they no longer stand up for their rights? A couple thousand pickups and SUVs blacking downtown Raleigh makes a powerful statement.

41 NYC MTA workers die in the last two weeks. If any of you have ever ridden a New York subway you realize there’s no more likely place to catch a communicable disease:

Yeah, all over the Internet people are saying that the subway, all by itself, explains the heavy concentration of cases and deaths in NYC and nearby New Jersey counties.
