Bush Center Slams Trump; Wants More Migration

2020 May 4
by bc3b

Since George W. Bush left office, he has done little, if anything, to benefit the United States and absolutely nothing to help the Republican Party. Bush43 didn’t even campaign for RINOs like McCain and Romney. He was totally silent during the eight years Barack Obama was president and has become BFFs of the Clintons and Obamas.

He has regularly spoken out against President Trump, and has been particularly vocal about President Trump’s America First policy, which includes stemming the non-stop flow of immigrants (legal and illegal) into the United States.

Now the Bush Institute is attacking President Trump’s executive order to halt immigration due to the coronavirus pandemic and 25 million unemployed Americans.

The Bush Family (George W. and his dim-witted brother), the Bush Institute and the US Chamber of Commerce always tout immigration as something wonderful – a boon to the country. What they purposely ignore is the high cost to American citizens – those who don’t live in gated communities: reduced wages, increased crime and increased social and welfare costs from food stamps to education.

Then there’s disease. We have seen a rebirth of diseases that were eradicated in the US 50+ years ago. In addition, AOC’s congressional district, which boasts more immigrants than any other in the US, also leads the US in the number of coronavirus confirmed cases and deaths.

New York’s 14th Congressional District, which includes the working-class immigrant clusters of the Bronx and Queens, has had 19,200 coronavirus cases as of April 30, more than all of Manhattan, despite having almost 1 million fewer people. Residents of the neighborhoods of Corona and North Corona in her district — the names are an eerie coincidence — have had more coronavirus cases than any ZIP code in the country.

Now we’ll get to Gringo Jorge:

The  economics director at President George W. Bush’s advocacy center slammed President Donald Trump’s popular, pro-American immigration policy.

The May 1 slam came just before Bush posted a May 2 video urging national unity in the coronavirus crash that has pushed more than 25 million Americans out of jobs.

“The most important thing to remember in this is that we don’t want [Trump’s] temporary policy to become permanent immigration policy,” economic director Laura Collins said a video posted on the center’s Twitter account. She continued:

We know immigrants are good for the economy. We know they’re good for our culture. We know they’re in this fight with us together, and we’re going to meet them working with us side by side in any recovery after the pandemic is over.

Trump’s April 22 immigration policy says the economic needs of American employees are more important than the immigration preferences of foreigners. His policy temporarily trims the annual inflow of legal immigrants and directs agencies to review visa worker programs in 30 days.

Polls show the public — including recent immigrants — is overwhelmingly aligned with Trump in prioritizing jobs for Americans over welcomes for legal immigrants.

The visa worker programs targeted by Trump are extremely important to the Fortune 500. In response, the companies’ lobbyists and progressives allies have quickly launched a hard-nosed lobbying campaign and a soft-focus PR campaign to protect the programs and mass migration.

Congress now accepts 1 million legal immigrants per year.

It also allows companies to keep roughly 2 million cheap and complaint foreign visa-workers in U.S. jobs. The 2 million workforce includes roughly 1.5 million foreign white-collar visa workers, plus roughly 400,000 foreign blue-collar guest workers, in professional or seasonal jobs needed by roughly 26 million unemployed Americans.

Collins touted the corporate PR campaign, dubbed #AllofUs, in her video slamming Trump’s pro-employee policy.

Read more (including Laura Collins’ video). She comes across like a high school girl.

The Repub leaders: Bush, junior Bush, McCain, Romney, Paul Ryan are so ASHAMED of the base.
They truly believe every vile bigoted notion the worst Dem has about us.

It’s a relief to have someone who is with us, like Ron was. It’s not THAT hard to be that kind of leader for America. A shame that all Dems and half the Repub elite refuse to do so.

I was dumb enough to vote for W twice; but smart enough to ignore solicitations for his library, which the institute is part of.

Bush41 was Ronald Reagan’s biggest mistake. Without selecting him a VP, the Bush Dynasty never would have happened.

Today a majority of Democrats view Bush43 positively:

If I was Trump, I’d appoint him Secretary of Agriculture.

Ever since WWII, the elites have been more concerned about people in other countries than Americans. Americans need to become aware that organizations like the Council on Foreign Relations and the US Chamber of Commerce are destroying our country.

Understand the implications of Murder Hornets?

    * They invade hives killing the resident bees.
    * The stings hurt like hell.
    * The Pols reaction will be to outlaw bee hives based right or wrong that they are an attractant to the hornets.

So what you say? You like fruits, almonds, most other nuts? They will cease to exist if humans over react yet again, running around looking for a safe place. The entire US almond production is dependent on bee hives. Almonds alone are a $21Bn industry and it employs 100000 people in CA alone.

I still like the axiom “If you owe the bank $100 you have a problem if you owe the bank $1Billion then the bank has a problem”. But, it’s still the case that China had a lot of US dollars sloshing around that they could use for buying up stuff, buying politicians, buying media, buying influence.

Good read. Glad to see her funding campaign has been successful. If Abbott does not pardon the lady, he is a fool. His political opponent will use that like a club in the next election. Which brings up something I never considered — pardons are for abeyance of injustice under the law. The judges order was based on a EO. So do pardons apply? I don’t know.

Paxton sent a letter to the judge stating he abused his authority by putting Luther in jail for opening her salon to feed her family.

“I find it outrageous and out of touch that during this national pandemic, a judge, in a county that actually released hardened criminals for fear of contracting COVID-19, would jail a mother for operating her hair salon in an attempt to put food on her family’s table,” Paxton said in a statement. “The trial judge did not need to lock up Shelley Luther. His order is a shameful abuse of judicial discretion, which seems like another political stunt in Dallas. He should release Ms. Luther immediately.”

    — link in #53.

OK. So lets play this thru. I would say 75% of the population could make that defense. Another 20% could probably make the same play as a care taker for elder parents. So lets stop playing the games, admit that there is NO basis in law or order to shutdown someone or jail them who is not committing a criminal act.

But please, lets continue our trial run of Tyranny-lite.
