Honoring Those Who Gave their Lives
2020 May 24
On this day please take a few minutes to think about and pray for those who sacrificed their lives to preserve our freedom and liberty.

It’s time for all of us to watch for ways to protect their legacy.

3 – Also it’s just anecdotal by my brother was telling me the number of people that have been asking him about first-steps\advice in moving out of NYC area to the burbs and further in the last 3mo has increased 10x fold. I told him that’s nice and all, but till they recognize they caused the problem prompting them to move with their own voting habits in the first place it’s useless. All they’re doing is spreading their destructive voting pattern virus.

I have been to NYC 5-6 times in my life. After a couple days, I was always glad I was leaving.
I have never understood the appeal NYC has to young people. Paying $3,000 a month for a one-bedroom apartment. Not being able to have a car or spending a ton to store it, not having decent schools, etc. Things have gotten even worse in recent years with the homeless problem. Homeless sleeping in the subway station or in subway cars, etc.
Even if you move to the suburbs, you have a 1.5 hour commute each day and housing costs three times what it would in Detroit, Milwaukee or Dallas suburbs.
Some people working remote have gone back to living with mom and dad in Pittsburgh or Cincinnati and have come to the realization that heir parents have a far more enjoyable life. Is it worth the hassel to see a play once a month?
The same is true of businesses – why be headquartered in NYC (or San Francisco for that matter) when the cost of doing business is twice what it would be in Phoenix, Dallas or Milwaukee?

Regarding NYC, this is from the left-leaning The Hill:

thank you for posting this, bc3b. Memorial Day is always the most somber of holidays for me. It always seems funny to say “Happy Memorial Day”…but then we are FREE, and is indeed something to be happy about. And tens of thousands of Americans fought and died to make it so.
God Bless them all!
[10]
Good morning all! This is probably one of my most favorite holidays in this sense…. yes all countries have heroes. And all countries have fought in wars. BUT, how many countries can say they are unbeaten in those encounters. I understand what the history books propagandize and what is conveyed in popular culture but our men and women have never lost. We are grateful. We are proud to call them fellow countrymen(women). Thanks G’pops! Best grandfather ever! Major Robert Wayne Aschenbrener.

Ghost,
I hope the streak continues. But ever since the inquisition against Billy Mitchell it seems our flag staff officers are less warriors and more another brand of politician.

When I lived in South Jersey two or three times a year we would go to New York City catch a play, do some shopping and hit a decent restaurant for a weekend. But after about 48hrs we develop this gritty feeling about the place and are glad we are headed out of there.

Now the left and #NeverTrumpers are attacking Kayleigh McEnany for standing up to the media. First Chris Wallace; now Jonah Goldberg:

15 – In other words, it’s just another monday for assholes I already couldn’t despise anymore than I already did before reading that.

Trump threatens to pull RNC convention from Charlotte because radical governor goes slow on reopening NC. Guv won’t guarantee full attendance. Radical mayor of Charlotte wants her 50 million, but plays the governors game too.
Please move it, President Trump. Better yet, move it to South Carolina. Don’t play games with these assholes. This governor owns the worst unemployment situation in the nation, and now wants to punish us further for the sake of voter fraud. Corrupt bastid.
[18]
Mullet –
Obviously, NC’s governor is pulling a power play. NC ranks #37 in deaths per million (75). Most of the state below it have smaller populations and no major cities (Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana, etc.).

Bc,
My County, Carteret, had 35 total cases, only one is active now, and it is the largest NC County by land mass. 1400 square miles. The governor treats us just the same as the counties with Charlotte and Raleigh. We never needed to close. Our small businesses on which we thrive are dying, and he cares not one whit.
He thrives on out of state donors, mostly California. He wants us shut down till November to please the money.
[20]
One case in 1400 square miles, and we still have idiots riding around in their cars, by themselves, wearing a mask. Go figure.

Colon Powell dark horse VP?
LMAO

But Powell does not wear a skirt! Right?

You know I remember a MAGA rant that went something like — https://www.zerohedge.com/health/mexicans-are-building-wall-keep-american-covid-carriers-out — “We will build a wall!. Mexico will pay for it!”
Funny how prophecy works out.

America IS at a crossroad…and I fear too many will choose the cheap & fleeting promise of Socialism in exchange for their freedom. True Socialism, by definition, REQUIRES the individual to relinquish some or all self-reliance & freedom, for the “greater good”. Memorial Day is a good time to dwell on that.

Yeah, it’s probably a meaningless gesture … but I do feel for people like her and Ric Grenell who stand out front and take the heat.

Don’t threaten… just do it. We ain’t got much time to screw around here, just move it to GA or FL, or another open state where the chance of sabotage is lower end of story.
