Where Is the Liberal Outrage?

2020 May 28
by bc3b

The media has been going on non-stop about George Floyd, a black man who was killed in a scuffle with Minneapolis Police and  shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia.

Just as with the shooting of Michael Brown a few years ago the media has whipped up a frenzy that has ended with rioting and looting.

Yet, when the roles are reversed, as they frequently are, the media either remains totally silent or buries the news as quickly as possible. A couple of cases in point:

Shortly after Michael Brown was killed, a black activist murdered five law enforcement officers in Dallas. The media shut coverage as quickly as possible. There were no interviews with the widows of the slain officers talking about the effect of the loss of husbands and fathers had on the families. The NFL stopped the Cowboys from honoring the slain officers with a decal on players’ helmets. The one organization that did honor the slain officers was the Dallas stars who had decals of the slain officers badges on their helmets throughout the season and invited the players families to participate in pre-game “puck-dropping ceremonies at five games so the Stars and its fans could honor the slain officers.

Then there was  Paul Marino, 86, and Lidia Marino, 85, both from Elkton, Maryland who were shot and killed after visiting a military cemetery in Delaware last month. They were murdered by a black man with a scoped rifle. This murder received scant coverage outside of the Delaware/Maryland area.

Blacks are nine times more likely to murder whites than vice versa. 43% of law enforcement officers who are murdered are killed by blacks (more than three times the percentage of blacks in the US).

Something the media doesn’t cover is black-on-black crime. According to the FBI 93% of all blacks murdered are killed by other blacks. This year Chicago had the worst Memorial Day weekend in terms of shootings and shooting deaths in five years. Where is the media coverage and black protests when gang-bangers murder an innocent five year old who is simply sitting on his front porch eating ice cream?

We all know the answer: It doesn’t fit the liberal agenda.

Why are the Leftists/Democrats/media so much more virtuous than you or I?

Because since they have double-standards, that means they have TWICE as many “standards” as you or I.

    Easy!

1 – Yup, notice zero outrage unless they can try to drag race into it. I could give to shits if people want to destroy their towns cause they’re stupid, idk what all the destruction of completely unrelated shit is accomplishing. By all means protest… do in front of PD.. molly PD cars at least it’s the right target… not your local stores and random cars in parking lots. Fucking brain dead rioters, they can all die far as I’m concerned, sick of it being a story instead of actually investigating wtf happened in detail and getting this officer charged with murder or manslaughter.

5 – Now if only someone would hold him to his past statements… particularly since it’s recent.

    US Free Citizens:

    ***TRAVEL WARNING – Minneapolis ***

Do not travel due to crime.

Violent crime and gang activity are widespread.

In many high risk areas, the US cannot help you. This may be because of a lack of functioning government, the ineffectiveness of policies or local authorities, armed conflict, or poor governance.

    If you must travel:

Exercise increased caution when visiting Minneapolis law enforcement offices or installations.

You are subject to the laws and legal system of the area you are visiting.

The US government may have no jurisdictional authority in Minneapolis.

Draft a will and designate appropriate insurance beneficiaries.

Contact your local embassy or consulate (if applicable).

Be sure to appoint one family member to serve as the point of contact with hostage takers if you are taken hostage or detained.

My wife and I attended a couple of TEA Party “protests” (they were more like “gatherings”) back when Obama was President.

The media SCREAMED that such protests were “Violent, angry and HATE-filled”.

    What were they really like?

A bunch of middle-aged and older folks standing around or sitting in lawn-chairs singing patriotic songs and listening to speeches. You could tell where a TEA Party “protest” had occurred because afterwards the location was CLEANER and NEATER than before the protest. No trash, no graffiti, no destruction…nada.

over a THOUSAND stores have been looted and/or damaged in Minneapolis/St.Paul, and over a hundred burned…some completely including a police station.

How does the media describe these RIOTS??? They describe them as “mostly peaceful protests”.

Additionally there is no evidence that “social distancing” and masks do anything material to inhibit spreading Covid-19. This isn’t because the idea isn’t sound — it’s because in practice it either doesn’t work or doesn’t matter. For example a “negative pressure” room is considered “adequate” if it manages 12 turn-overs of the air volume in an hour — once every 5 minutes. Outdoors with even the slightest breeze — or daytime heating of a surface at your feet — the air volume around you is exchanged within seconds. Masks sound good but in fact a cloth mask filters almost nothing and a surgical or N95’s material is saturated with moisture in your breath within an hour or so’s time at which point your air exchange bypasses it and the mask is worthless. As such the actual value of these “measures” is, in the real world, an effective zero. As I’ve pointed out since this virus first showed up these facts are not specific to this virus, which means the most-likely spread that actually “works” across such environments (e.g. on Diamond Princess, in nursing homes, etc) is in fact fecal:oral. But of course the CDC refuses to acknowledge that despite several months of hard scientific proof that this virus, unlike most respiratory viruses, has been isolated from feces and that such transmission entirely explains the much higher transmission rates in places like nursing homes. That leaves the most-effective means of deterring transmission being the age-old measure first discovered in 1846 by Ignaz Semmelweis: WASH YOUR ******NED HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER!

I remember going to Minneapolis in the early 1970s when it was one of the cleanest, safest major cities in the US. I was very impressed. How that has changed.

13 – yeah I know..lol I laughed when I saw that and said…well at least it was directed toward the people they are taking issue with! That said apparently the cops ran and abandoned the place instead of shooting people, if that was weak as fuck and I don’t care if it was the mayors call or chief or whatever, it’s just weak af the whole station ended up being firebombed. What gear or documents or computers got stolen in the process, guess nobody bothered to think that through?

36 – Why he hemmed and hawd for a couple weeks on that back and forth i’ll never understand. Next should be the WTO.
40 – Lovely confidence builder. lol

Funny how we can’t have chuch gathering case you know Wuhan…. but mass gatherings of rioters is A-OK. Priorities don’t cha know.

31 – Only been there once in the early 90’s, reminded me a little of a colder but larger Roanoke, but far less sleepy. Anyway I was only there for 2 days to install to servers and get out. Seemed ok enough back then – but so did a lot of places that compared to 93 are total shit-holes now.

28 – Yup. No bailouts for this crap, you break it let it get broken you pay to fix it.
I’m sure the local insurance companies are livid.

22- Honestly I wish he’d stayed out of it… let it burn, fuck’em, it’s not like the governor can’t call out his own NG, and such is too much a pussy for that including live ammo then let wallow in that which they voted for.

I see cnn trying to stoke crowds in centennial park (conveniently 100ft away from their own building), man I hope that backfire somehow and they bumb rush CNN hq. Bet cnn will suddenly not be enjoying it so much, that or they’ll just forget to cover it. Thing is it’s a nice friday night here, 1/2 those people probably weren’t there for a protest, and I wonder how much the other 1/2 are getting paid.

‘Tuesday Morning’ retailer filled for bankruptcy today.

14 – Yup, and did you see the soros DA’s remarks, I mean I’m open to see what this other evidence is he talks of ( but would not provide ..hmm funny that) all while doing a Comey. I mean I couldn’t think of a better way to inflame the situation even more.

Maybe it’s not str8 murder but there was no justification for that, it’s at least manslaughter from all I’ve seen. An an accessory charge for the other officer who best I can tell didn’t do jack shit at ALL to stop it. I mean he’s already down, he’s already cuffed… exactly how long you gonna knee his neck into the pavement (which you can see he’s doing with full force\weight cause his other leg is almost off the ground)? I get doing it for a few seconds…15-30, but what the fuck. At that point we’re beyond getting control of the suspect, or temp adrenaline rush and entering vindictive asshole cop territory. Yet this the same pd that runs from a fight at their own prescient. Context too all … over a fake 20$ bill accusation. Reminds me of NJ and killing a guy similarly over selling cigs in singles 2 years ago, or the countless others we don’t even hear about cause it happened to someone pale.

But hey, Wuhan is officially over all of a sudden since it’s nothing but wall to wall this bs now.

    Ghost,

I have considered that. But run the timeline forward. Say a 3 way split, Cascadia, Flyoverica, Eastacom. Cascadia and Eastacom turn heavily socialist. Flyoverica exactly the opposite. In two to three decades there will be no peace again.

Just as the Communist states of the Eastern Bloc had to generate external threats to maintain order so to will two FUSA regions that went socialist. It is inherent in the system that it must externalize a threat or collapse. Their economies go tits up. It would be a edge/guerrilla war that finally goes fully hot.

A split is at best a delaying tactic to the ultimate conclusion. And consider. The first captain and crew of a US boomer that goes over to the 2nd AmRev side the game is essentially over.

A commenter discusses Justice Roberts’ opinion:

“I hate when the justices resort to talking about facts rather than the law. For example, Roberts cites 100,000 deaths. What does that have to do with anything? What if it were 50,000? Would that make the restriction unconstitutional? How about 10,000?

Also in a judicial document we learn that there’s “no known cure, no effective treatment, and no vaccine.” So what? Same with AIDS and traffic accidents. What does the Constitution say about that? Does it say that governors can outlaw homosexuality or restrict automobile travel?

Limp reasoning, and obviously not the first time with this guy. I wouldn’t mind so much if he had a philosophical standard, but this is just blowing with the wind. I’d have been embarrassed to write what he wrote.”
