I listened to the local police scanners there Tuesday night for about 3hr from midnight eastern till about 3am, every car pulled over and nearly ever license (driver and passengers combined) called in for warrant checks was from IL. I found that interesting.

Went back to working from my office (about a 13 mile drive) June 15. My trip is at least 5 minutes shorter. No traffic jams. I drive past Kelly Services world headquarters (about a 10 story building) every day. No more than a dozen cars in the parking lot.

Another Target department store was looted and destroyed Wednesday night in the name of, um…somebody or something. Targets appear to be the target, all pun intended, of the mobs.
Question: why on Earth would Target EVER re-build in those locations? Those locations, btw, are NOT in the suburbs. They are in, or on the edge of the inner cities. They employ hundreds of people from those cities, and provide access to affordable goods for those same people. Now they are gone…perhaps forever, but certainly for many years.
So the mobs who loot and burn these stores are destroying the lives and livelihood of the very communities they CLAIM they seek “social justice” for.

All-in-all I thought the Republican convention was very well done. The presenters were believable and likable. The GOP did a great job of differentiating itself from the Democrats by denouncing rioting and portraying itself as a party that still believes in God. The opera singer singing Ave Maria at the close was a master stroke.
I realize some thought there were too many POCs, but every one was either an officeholder/candidate, administration official or had an important message (e.g. David Dorn’s widow).
If Trump can garner 15%+ of the black vote, he will be hard to beat.

The DNC Convention has become a liability for the Democrats. They came across as an angry, extreme party. And the worst of the DNC was in the afternoon, away from telecasts. Regardless, it was a dumpster fire. Many are still trying to figure out if Biden’s performance was live or pieced together from 32 takes.
