Have Professional Sports Become Anti-Police?

2020 August 28
by bc3b
What else can you say?

The NFL is donating $250,000,000 to Black Lives Matter and other “racial justice” organizations, many of which want to de-fund the police. This fall players can choose from about 15 approved messages for their helmets (names of blacks killed by police, etc.). The names of the five cops killed by the black militant won’t be among them nor will the name of David Dorn, the retired St. Louis officer murdered while trying to protect a friend’s business.

The NBA is making donations and players are wearing approved social justice messaging on their jerseys. Many MLB players are “taking a knee” and MLB is also talking about social justice messaging on uniforms. Even hockey, which has only a handful of blacks, had BLM messaging in its pre-game playoff opening ceremonies and postponed this week’s Thursday and Friday games because of the black man that was shot by police in Kenosha.

The only team I can recall doing anything to honor fallen LEOs was the Dallas Stars when five officers were killed by a black extremist a few years ago. Jerry Jones wanted to do something, but Roger Goodell stopped it.

Who can deny the actions of professional sports have become anti-police?

NFL will honor social injustice victims by placing an emblem on helmets

InstaPundit.com quotes a FaceBook post. I know one thing: if Dems get in charge, it won’t take them 3 1/2 years to start delivering indictments.

“The future of the country will be decided in the next 60 days.

According to Real Clear Politics aggregation of polls, if the election were held today Biden would win the presidency and Democrats would win control of the U.S. Senate, to go along with their majority in the House of Representatives.

Don’t get cocky and dismiss the polls – I don’t care what happened in 2016.

I am a Virginian and never in a million years would’ve imagined my state would be where it is today. Democrats control us here now and they’re pushing their radical policies through at warp speed.

Biden can win. We can also lose the senate. That means a very real possibility of a democrat WH, House, and Senate in a matter of months.

You help no one if you continue thinking “Trump will win in a landslide.” Your overconfidence is as dangerous to this nation’s future as the leftist chaos we are seeing is.

Work. Work like your family’s life depends on it”

The NHL postponed all playoff games on Thursday and Friday to stand in solidarity with other sports leagues protesting racial injustice

The DNC Convention has become a liability for the Democrats. They came across as an angry, extreme party. And the worst of the DNC was in the afternoon, away from telecasts. Regardless, it was a dumpster fire. Many are still trying to figure out if Biden’s performance was live or pieced together from 32 takes.

When before has a presidential candidate campaigned through his wife and VP candidate?

Trump showed last night that he will attack Biden on China. China’s interference in US elections dates back to at least the Bill Clinton years (bundlers). But, the media doesn’t have a problem with it because the Chi Coms always support the Dems.

I think it was Eph, back thread, who posted on a study of “shy Trump voters” skewing polls.
    It’s an interesting story!

But one thing that they don’t address is also important:
What’s the percentage of voters who won’t respond to a poll AT ALL because they don’t want to reveal their preferences?

While polling is far more scientific than it was 40-50 years ago, it is far less reliable and trustworthy today.

    1. There are hundreds of polling companies today (as opposed to Gallup and a couple wanna-bes). They know that pleasing their clients is far more important to their existence than accurate polling. They want to stay in business to feed their families and themselves.

    2. 40-50 years ago polling was used to measure public opinion. Today it is used to drive public opinion. Pollsters have lots of tools to get the results sponsors want – list selection, time of the day/night called, general public/registered voters/likely voters and when all else fails weighting the poll.

    3. As your link shows, many are afraid to give their honest opinion for fear they are not truly anonymous.

A fifteen year argument is finally over…. We win. Most CTH readers probably don’t even remember the reason for the name: “The Last Refuge” upon this little corner of the internet. However, for well over a decade we have tried to share the truth behind the financial mechanisms that run Washington DC; and the primary machine has always been a completely corrupt, deceptive and anti-American U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Against the entirety of the conservative media; and against the entirety of every organized group that ever attended CPAC; this website has attempted to educate people about the genuinely fraudulent purposes of the U.S. CoC and their President Tom Donohue. I have written hundreds of articles over the years outlining “there are trillions at stake” and the elements of importance behind that statement. Every single mainstream conservative voice has denied the truth; and likely most of them are probably on the CoC payroll.

That said if two harbors is indicative of duluth (a stretch I think) to the south where there is some population density it could be meaningful.

An explanation why BLM/Antifa is not acting up in Red areas. Heh.

KH, what you say is logically and mathematically correct but I still consider it significant that six DEMOCRAT mayors all rose up as one and endorsed Trump. They could have stayed silent, or acted individually. The quotes are pretty strong.

“we have voted for Democrats over many decades … Joe Biden did nothing to help the working class. We lost thousands of jobs, and generations of young people have left the Iron Range … we don’t recognize the Democratic Party. It has been moved so far to the left … We didn’t choose to leave the Democratic Party, the party left us … four years ago, something wonderful happened. Donald J. Trump was elected”

If the lifelong Dem who are office holders feel that strongly, wouldn’t you think plenty of normies feel it just as strong? And even is not as strong, plenty of people some distance away see the same events, watch the same news, talk to the same neighbors and have a similar outlook?

Little history that makes this significant I believe. Minnesota is unique for one reason — Its not really a Democratic party state. No, its Democratic – Farmer – Labor, DFL for short. The DFL caucuses with the Dims, but they consider themselves separate. Swedes immigrated to MN in large numbers back in the day and they brought their politics with them which was/is generally pro-socialist. Essentially MN up until recently was the Left of the Left in the Dim party. With the rise of the bicoastal Left that is no longer true.

So for 6 mayors steeped in long standing positions within the DFL to defect I believe has more impact than just some johnny come lately CA snot nosed, fresh with a studies degree, wannabe socialist.

But it does go to show that there is a good chance they are hiding something. Personally I would be in favor of having webcams in the classroom. Most school districts in this country permit parental visitation in person during class, so it makes little difference whether its live or memorex. The real solution of course is more parents involved in the running of the districts, selection of books and even discharge of teachers. F’ the unions.

Here is a story worth following:

There is a civil war erupting at @SandiaLabs.

Following my investigation, a dissident electrical engineer named Casey Peterson emailed all 16,000 employees denouncing critical race theory in the lab and hoping to spark a rebellion against Sandia executives.

    Here’s the story.

On Tuesday, Peterson made a YouTube video “pushing back back on the narrative of modern systemic racism and white privilege.”

The video quickly hit 10,000 views within the labs and dozens of Sandia employees contacted Peterson to express support.

Within hours, Sandia executives dispatched a counterintelligence team to lock Peterson out of the network and scrub his communications from internal servers—which, via the Streisand Effect, made the video even more viral and sparked widespread unrest against Sandia executives.

By the afternoon, executives were panicking about the brewing rebellion, placed Peterson on paid administrative leave, and established a “security review board” to “evaluate whether [his] actions have comprised or posed a threat to Sandia computing and security systems.”

Peterson—who took a stand at grave risk to his career—says he is speaking on behalf of all of Sandia employees who are “scared to speak out” because of the lab’s repressive culture. “If I get fired because of this,” Peterson says, “the fight does not end, it only intensifies.”

This is the first explicit rebellion against critical race theory in the federal government—and the coalition is growing. “We need to completely rip [critical race theory] out of Sandia root and stem,” Peterson says. “It is cancer and we need to get it out of the labs right now.”

Sandia executives have made it clear: they want to force critical race theory, race-segregated trainings, and white male reeducation camps on their employees—and all dissent will be severely punished. Progressive employees will be rewarded; conservative employees will be purged.

Keep this in mind: Sandia Labs is a federally-funded research agency and designs America’s nuclear weapons. Senator @HawleyMO and @SecBrouillette have launched an inspector general investigation, but Sandia executives have only accelerated their purge against conservatives.

Sandia executives face a decision-point: they can back down and Peterson’s rebellion will notch an internal victory; or they can fire him and Peterson will become further evidence of Sandia’s corrupt and repressive culture. In a sense, Peterson cannot lose.

According to multiple sources, the executives who have pushed the most toxic elements of critical race theory and race-segregated trainings are James Peerey, Dori Ellis, David White (he/him), and Mark Sellers. They must be investigated by the Inspector General.

Here’s the bottom line: this is the first shot in the rebellion against critical race theory in the federal government. Casey Peterson has taken a courageous stand and the Inspector General must conduct a full investigation of Sandia Labs—and hold executives accountable.

We are opening up a multi-front war against critical race theory in the federal government: (1) investigative reporting to expose the truth; (2) internal rebellions to increase the pressure; (3) inspector general investigations; (4) laying the groundwork for an executive order.

It might take time, there might be losses, but we will achieve victory! Swords up! Prayers up!

Of course they have pushed it faster. They have to because they know that the federal work rules are against them. What Peterson is doing takes big ones. The other thing the execs know, as the article alludes, if the stink gets too bad Trump might very well intercede. Also, if Peterson has dirt he should publish it to Congress then invoke the Whistle Blower act.

Is the leftist dream now within reach? If President Trump loses, we will find out.”

““About 23.8 million viewers watched coverage of Trump’s RNC address across thirteen cable and broadcast networks, down from 24.6 million viewers who watched Biden’s DNC address on twelve of those same networks.”
Across television and online streaming, the Republican National Convention got 147.9 million total viewers from Monday through Thursday, while Democratic National Convention got 122 million total viewers, according to figures released by both campaigns.”

So Repubs won overall. But Dems found a favorable statistic that they could all echo chamber to each other, about a selection of “13 cable and broadcast” channels.

re: the “attendance” of the Conventions:
“plus most of TV didn’t carry the whole RNC and kept cutting away. So the internets were the only place to get a clean stream uninterrupted by talking heads.”

Bc, I don’t know the explanation other than blaming the same cultural crap common across the country. Teenagers, especially black teenagers, have no regard for humankind. They have lost all respect for life and think nothing of killing.

I have been through that particular highway interchange hundreds of times going from Beaufort to Winston-Salem. That Bo’ jangles is a regular stop albeit usually early morning. Now I’m more inclined to pack a Kind bar and pee in a bottle rather than stop.

I fear a civil war in the coming months, perhaps a race war, although there are plenty of white idiots mixed in the BLM movement. Mostly losers, already with serious felony violations. I don’t know what to think. Too old to be worried about myself. I fear for my children and grandchildren in this mad max world.

    Spot on, Mullet.

My focus is also my children and grandchildren…and I am preparing accordingly.

Don’t know the source of this rant, but….

Good against evil, and I’m for good.

“To answer all of those of you who would say “I can’t believe you would vote for Trump.” Well folks listen up! I’m not just voting for him. I’m voting for the second Amendment. I’m voting for the next supreme court justice. I’m voting for the electoral college, and the Republic we live in. I’m voting for the Police, and law and order. I’m voting for the military, and the veterans who fought for and died for this Country. I’m voting for the Flag that is always missing from the Democratic background. I’m voting for the right to speak my opinion and not be censored. I’m voting for secure borders. I’m voting for the right to praise my God without fear. I’m voting for every unborn soul the Democrats want to murder. I’m voting for freedom and the American Dream. I’m voting for good and against evil. I’m not just voting for one person, I’m voting for the future of my Country! What are you voting for? “

    Trump rally in Portland OR.
Long, but you can watch 2 min to get a sense of it. And give it an upvote.
Not so many people (I don’t blame them), I think the San Jose CA rally I went to last week was larger.

I hadn’t seen this info before. The Kenosha shooter Kyle was living/working in WI.
I had already seen before that the gun did not cross state lines.

… strangely and uncharacteristically, the New York Times has given an indication, through study of the videos and a timeline, that self-defense was really what was going on that night in Kenosha. That’s how clear it must be.

Now we have a statement by Rittenhouse’s lawyers, and quite a statement it is.

After Kyle finished his work that day as a community lifeguard in Kenosha, he wanted to help clean up some of the damage, so he and a friend went to the local public high school to remove graffiti by rioters. Later in the day, they received information about a call for help from a local business owner, whose downtown Kenosha auto dealership was largely destroyed by mob violence. The business owner needed help to protect what he had left of his life’s work, including two nearby mechanic’s shops. Kyle and a friend armed themselves with rifles due to the deadly violence gripping Kenosha and many other American cities, and headed to the business premises. The weapons were in Wisconsin and never crossed state lines.

That is new information: that Rittenhouse worked in Kenosha, the request from the business owner, and the fact that the weapon didn’t cross state lines.

Confessions of a voter fraud: I was a master at fixing mail-in ballots

“A top Democratic operative says voter fraud, especially with mail-in ballots, is no myth. And he knows this because he’s been doing it, on a grand scale, for decades…”

    No shit.

“The whisteblower — whose identity, rap sheet and long history working as a consultant to various campaigns were confirmed by The Post — says he not only changed ballots himself over the years, but led teams of fraudsters and mentored at least 20 operatives in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania — a critical 2020 swing state.”

    Just one operative of thousands.

““This is a real thing,” he said. “And there is going to be a f–king war coming November 3rd over this stuff … If they knew how the sausage was made, they could fix it.”
