Of course, MSM is blaming the ratings decline on the election and the pandemic and the presidential election. People aren’t eating out as much, going to theaters or malls, why didn’t they watch the World Series, the NBA and NHL playoffs and the NFL? 2016 was an election year and the Cubs-Indians World Series ratings went bonkers.
Perhaps America’s love affair with professional sports is over. You regulars know I was a huge baseball fan. This year I wasn’t even aware the Dodgers won the WS until about 20 hours after it happened.

The rationalizing of the Left (if they ever bother to even try), begins with something like this: “That’s ok, because…”
The reason they generally do NOT even bother to rationalize or defend ANY of their positions is that they feel SOOOOOO morally, socially and intellectually superior, they feel their awesomeness is, well, obvious. And if YOU don’t just get it…then you are clearly in need of Re-Education!
Still, I have had a couple of the Woke take a quick stab at explaining their positions (before simply labeling me something horrific, and moving on) and they go something like this…

[on the Democrat’s intent to restrict what people drive, eat, see, read and do] “That’s ok, because people often make bad choices that are hurtful or harmful for them, the environment or people around them. The government should be restricting those choices for the Greater Good!”
[on the Democrat’s intent to redistribute wealth] “That’s ok, because some people have more than other people…and that’s not fair!”
[on the Democrat’s intent to use the color of people’s skin to determine how society and government should treat them] “That’s ok, because we need to treat people differently in order to be fair to everyone.”
If you like the thought of government taking away your Rights, possessions, and freedoms for “The Greater Good” then vote Biden 2020!

If you are atuned to a more sublime climate Kentucky is the better choice. You can get an approximate climate if you find elevation, Big Bend area for example. But it is going to be more like high desert California, aka Victorville, with way different scenery.

Convinced the wife to watch election night with me. Any guidelines on what to look for during the evening to see how things are trending? Below is my plan so far…
Early in the evening confirm Florida looks to be a win for Trump. If not, it will be an early evening. Then see how NC and GA are doing. Could be a tough night if Trump is looking in danger in either place. If things look good in NC then look at NH. If NH looks good for Trump that would indicate a big night for Trump and we can begin to relax a little and at the minimum 2020 should look like a repeat of 2016.
Then later in the evening, we move to the midwest and check on Ohio. Should be looking good for Trump there. If not, he probably lost Florida already and things are over. Assuming Ohio looks good, then come the rust belt states. Probably PA, MI, MN, and WI will be looking too close to call long into the night — the longer they go the better for Trump. If two are three are called early for Biden things won’t be looking good, but all is not lost. By this time, any unexpected surprises on the East Coast should be evident. Good news for Trump would be him being unexpectedly competitive in NY or VA. Bad news would be trouble in GA and NC being called for Biden.
Later in the evening we move further west and see how AZ is doing. If AZ goes to Trump and he performed strong in Ohio and FL, the night should be Trump’s as he will only need one of the rust belt states or a surprise in any other state such as NH. If AZ is called for Biden, that is probably the end of the road for Trump, unless there are major surprises in his favor somewhere else. Good indications would be Trump perhaps taking NV (probably not due to cheating in Clark County) and CO or NM starting looking weak for Biden.
Any other suggestions on what to look for on Tuesday that would indicate how things will play out?

Curious about the interest Kentucky. Nice, pretty state, but not as tax-friendly as it’s neighbor to the south TN. Winters not quite as mild either. Probably one of the stupidest political arguments right now is “more than 200,000 have died from Corona because of Trump” coupled with “We (Biden/Harris) have a plan to deal with Corona.” We get it at the debates and in the commercials.
First if you have this miracle plan, why the hell have you not implemented it? Senator Harris, you get to present and pass laws. Mr. Biden, your party has control of the House of Representatives where all the money gets spent — why have you not passed and funded this miracle plan months ago? Not one, but multiple variations of vaccines have been discovered and are in final trials in the fastest time in history.
