    During my morning workout today I watched a recording of yesterday’s Chris Salcedo Show (Newsmax). He had on the Senior Editor of Newsmax and asked him how Newsmax was going to survive the ongoing purges of Non-Woke media.

    The guy (can’t remember his name) is waaaaay too optimistic about the future…which kind of shocked Salcedo. At one point this guy said: “I think you’ll see the “Centrist” Joe Biden emerge for the next two years, since he knows he needs to make deals to get anything done in Washington..

    Salcedo didn’t want to disrepspect the guy who he kinda works for, but he was clearly shocked. I think Salcedo wanted to say what I muttered: “That’s the MOST naive thing I’ve heard in a lonnnng time!

    (A) THERE IS NO JOE BIDEN. The shell he used to inhabit is just that: A SHELL. He will be allowed to remain “President” as long as his masters find the sham useful.

    (B) “Deals” that involve give & take from “both sides of the aisle” are O-V-E-R. The only “deals” that matter to “both sides of the aisle” are the PAYOFF kind. But the reality is that the Dems will do WHATEVER they please, and the media will make it sound AWESOME.

    JR – I am not a fan of Newsmax (they are much like Fox). Their owner Chris Ruddy had given to the Clinton Foundation in the past and is good friends with Bill Clinton. Does not pass the smell test.

    When the US Government tightened the ropes around wikileaks blocking all donations, how was it funded? BTC donations.

    When Chavez&Maduro strangled Venezuela how did families in the USA manage to get money to their relatives their, and how did people trying to get around capital controls get money out of the country? BTC as well.

    It’s an off ramp to the system, and essentially the only offshore bank account that an individual can have.

    Another guns & ammo update

    Went to the biggest and best guns & ammo store within about 75 miles of my cabin today. Yes, it’s in the PRK, but this store always has tons of ammo, and lots of handguns for sale. Report: almost NO ammunition, and almost no handguns. A few rifles and shotguns, and smaller caliber handguns…but that is it. The salesguy I asked about it just grinned and shook his head.

    Can’t be impeached. One of the reasons that the likes of McCabe took their pensions and ran away. They could be impeached while in the govt service and their pensions seized, but not once they left govt. service.

    The bit I don’t understand is if the Dims think Trump did what he did it could be classified as treason why not go that route? That transcends whether he is in office or not.

    This is from Wednesday April 29, 2020: Carlson #4, Baier #5, The Five #6, Hannity #7 and Ingraham #14. Ahead of all CNN programs and no Newsmax shows in the top 150.

    Baier dropped from 3.3-million to 2.0-million. Carlson from 4.4-million to 3.5.

    Jimmy Stewart remains my all-time favorite actor…and one of my all-time favorite Americans.

    That said, my least favorite role of his was in the movie ‘Shenandoah’. I know, he didn’t write the role, but the role is that of a man who believes he can ignore the Civil War. He can’t …as is made tragically apparent to him.

    People who think they can ignore what is happening are reprising Stewart’s…and just as wrong as his character was.

    PRP, I hope you continue to post on various crypto currencies, you seem pretty knowledgeable.
    Hopefully not all your links will be so gargantuan. I’m still working my way through the one 2 or 3 posts back. You know the one–the 2 hour interview.

    OK, I’m mocking that link a little bit, but the topic is important.

    On another topic, when I joined Signal, I got hooked up with a small group which is trying to figure out tech stuff. The point is to reduce dependencies and make yourself less visible to our enemies. Lots and lots of discussion … I’m learning some stuff. Here is a top 10 list they’ve suggested.
    I’ve already done a ton of these, but some I doubt I will implement.

    Here is the list of urgent TODOs that every Patriot must work on:

    1) Cancel cable TV and Dish/DirectTV. Our cable bills fund these monsters. Switch to Internet only plans. Many times Comcast might be the only choice for high speed Internet (thanks to monopoly). Switch to ROKU for TV.
    This model is the best one as it supports 4K TV and also has a remote that can control TV power and volume. Roku setup is very easy.

    2) disconnect Netflix

    3) switch from Comcast or Att landline to Vonage/Ooma or lingo. Don’t disconnect phone as you will need to port your number. Disconnect after number porting is complete

    4) cancel amazon prime if you can. If not reduce amazon shopping. Buy less from amazon and spend more in local stores looking for made in USA products

    5) switch from gmail to protonmail. The free version of protonmail is little limiting for power email users. Take the protonmail pro plan for $4.99 a month if you have two. Second choice for email is Zoho mail which offers relatively little restrictions. However, Zoho is based out of India. The founder has never taken VC money and is committed to user privacy.

    6) Stop using Chrome, Safari, IE, Firefox and edge browsers asap. Install Brave browser or DuckDuckGo privacy browser and set default search engine to Duck

    7) don’t use Google search and make Duck.com your home page

    8) disable location services on phones. Stop using Google maps and use either car dashboard gps or garmin

    9) stop using all cloud services and save documents locally in phones or computers. Disable iCloud, google drive and oneDrive. Don’t use Office365 – use office 2016

    10) phones are monopoly – it is either Google or Apple.
    Disable all automatic software updates and don’t update your phones.
    A phone completely made in USA and freeOS is coming soon

    While they’re busy debating Trump, the hearings for cabinet choices will be delayed.

    “The agent told us it was a decision made by and with their PR department in conjunction with management.”

    When Obama took office in 2009, he sent busloads of protesters to Connecticut to browbeat AIG officials into giving up their bonuses. That was a lesson learned. AIG is just obeying orders.

    Medical, car, home? I’m not sure. I’m glad Schilling can move to another plan but not everyone has his clout. This is pretty scary in my opinion.

    The conclusion of an article (which I’m not going to link to) written by a well meaning Conservative author concludes this way:

    In order to resolve the divide between conservatives and liberals that is metastasizing and threatening to overwhelm this great nation, meaningful election law reform must happen immediately. We must have a conversation on free and fair elections.”

    The naïveté displayed is jarring. The LAST thing the Left wants or will allow is “meaningful election law reform”. They have all the POWER they have sought, and will use that power RUTHLESSLY to “resolve the divide” by REMOVING one side of the equation. Us.

    They’re removing people who oppose them in a virtual sense now…but they’ll get around to doing it physically soon enough.

    If you use PostImages 640×480 is a good size and choose “direct link” from the array of formats.
    That’s the hard part.

    Hmmm. Schilling ought to get a lawyer that specializes in medical contracts. AIG offered a service that to my experience means you have to sign something that ends up being your contract for coverage. My bottom dollar says AIG has nothing in Schillings contract about ‘social media score’.

    Lagarde is an idiot. She clearly does not understand blockchain. You can put the patina of ‘regulation’ on it and the reality is that will be enforceable only to the extent everyone plays by the rules. The problem is BTC was constructed to operate at its only rules, damn the regulators. Besides, when you have hedge funds and insurance companies here jumping on the bandwagon that opportunity has passed. Best that can happen is that at least in the us, they will pass tax law treating BTC gains as a capital gain or loss. It is already being treated as an asset class.

    I am sure they will attempt something in the metals market. But so long as the Fed doesn’t realize they could get out of a depression by declaring $5000/oz gold it will take a while. The Libs are going to spend the next 6 months rolling out their agenda and paying off their toadies first. By then I hope to be in the positions I want to be in. Might have a boating accident along the way a couple of times too.

    Gold trades based on real interest rates: Fed Interest rate – the establishment view of inflation which is usually CPI (this is not how I personally define inflation.)

    As Real interest rates go up, bonds become more attractive to gold so governments and honestly mostly algorithms buy it.

    As real interest rates go down, there is less yield in bonds so gold becomes more attractive. So if interest rates are zero but inflation was 10%, gold would be 10% better than bonds or treasuries so that’s what they would buy.

    We’re having major rate yield curve steepening at the moment on the long end aka rising rates, which is why I’ve remained negative on gold. I think we will get 10% GDP growth in q1. Very bullish equities, BTC, bogus green stocks etc.

    The scenario I could gold doing well in is the WW2 scenario when the US and the world was saddled in a long term debt cycle much like today. Basically long end of the curve rates keep rising putting pressure on equities. The Fed abandons any hawkish inflation response that is has been doing for the past 30-40 years (Volcker Standard) and let’s inflation ride hot instead instituting yield curve control as we did in WW2. In that scenario you’d have close to zero or 1% rates with inflation what 10%. Gold would go to the moon as would all assets really.

    I’d have to see that play out to believe it though so I remain bearish gold for now.

    To put this in easier terms. Gold and Bonds\treasuries compete with each other as secure assets.

    Go back to the 1980’s when Volcker came in as the new Sheriff in town putting rates at 15%…20% etc. If inflation is say 8-10%, and foreign countries can put their money in bonds or treasuries at 20% they will opt for this.

    It’s just about knowing what real interest rates are doing and the direction.

    Even this year when was gold doing well? When rates were falling and flat.

    As soon as the reflation trade started and yields began to rise, gold got crushed.

    Imagine if we dropped rates to -5%, and inflation is 5%.

    that means real rates would be -5% minus 5% CPI inflation= -10% real rates

    Gold would go to the moon in that scenario as well bc why would anyone opt for bonds or treasuries when those yield -10%.

    There is one item not in your assessment. True value of money is based on confidence. When no one wants to hold the USD gold goes thru the roof and Treasuries go in the toilet.

    Right now we have not seen a lot of inflation in the CPI because the money velocity is near zero. People are hoarding cash or paying off debts which does not boost velocity. Money velocity will also go thru the roof when people don’t want to hold the USD.

    If Velocity picks up that scenario above would play out though. inflation shoots up, long end of yield curve steepens, the Fed can’t raise rates in response because of excess debt so we go into yield curve control as we did in WW2.

    We’ll see. I remain a bear on gold at the moment as well as its equivalents like utilities.

    This is risk on.

    Possible. However I think the Fed’s bigger worry is deflation. They absolutely cannot afford to have the USD becoming more valuable. They would have to pay more in real terms for every TBill they issued.

    I was devastated in September when I turned the first Stanley Cup Playoff game on and they had a pro-BLM pre-game ceremony.

    I immediately shut the TV off. Didn’t watch any of last year’s playoffs and don’t plan to watch the NHL this year either. You cannot be devastated if you’ve already been devastated.

    I’m posting this interview again because it’s my favorite interview I’ve seen in the past several years not because of the bitcoin advocacy because of explanation of the war on currency that ramped up this year and because of how he explains that CPI is not a real measure of inflation by any means in plain English.

    We all know that CPI is bogus, but usually the explanations are abstract. Saylor explains it in plain English.

    Probably watched that interview 4 times already.

    71, took me days but I finally finished.
    It’s no trouble to watch, just long but every bit is fascinating.
    If you only want to ramp up on bit coin, skip ahead to 45:00 or 50:00 and then watch till 1:45:00 or so.

    I wouldn’t say I understand everything … but I get the excitement and some of the detail.
    When CEO Mike Saylor talks about educating his Board, Directors and key execs I wish they would put a list of the YouTubes and docs that he had them read/watch.

    Anyway, thanks again for posting. Mind-opening.

    I have a little prejudice against crypto even though I keep some money in a crypto wallet to do trades with. BTC has had a massive run up in price since inception which is a positive. I just don’t consider it an asset class right yet, maybe never, so I don’t hold a lot of crypto.

    Just keep this in mind, the tighter the grip, the more they have to lose. Alt tech will come up with solutions which over time half the country will switch. The Dims will screw up, its in their blood. (not that GOPers are any smarter, I mean they did lose.) And by the grace of God the House could flip in the midterms.

    Right about now we Deplorables ought to be talking with Alex Jones. Pass on his political views, but he survived and then has flourish thru a purge. What did he learn that we can apply? What solutions did he develop that we can deploy? What he is now, We shall become.

    We all know the calls for armed protests on inauguration day are just another set up by the left but am I the only one who thinks it’s possibly a cover to assassinate dementia Joe in front of the whole world and blame the right? Two birds with one stone. If I was Joe, I’d be worried.


    Biden’s team has also brought on Lisa Monaco, a former Homeland Security adviser in the Obama administration, to serve as a temporary adviser on security around the inauguration. Monaco, whom Biden nominated to serve as deputy attorney general, has paused her activities related to the nomination as she works with the transition on security matters.

    “Ms. Monaco will assist the President-elect and work with the incoming national security advisor, the incoming homeland security advisor, and current security and law enforcement officials, including with the United States Secret Service on their plans for the inauguration,” a spokesperson for the transition said in a statement. “Given the existing threats, Ms. Monaco’s temporary role will be focused solely on the period leading up to the inauguration.”

They are all Trump supporters but memes are how they communicate and it goes a long way to mature their views that they don’t always have the history to articulate. That one got a great response.

    I think Bitcoin is literally going to eat the world at this point unless the governments stop it from doing so. However, there is an incentive to not do this on an individual country level because then said country loses that major innovative tract. China has somewhat banned crypto currency because they want to control every aspect of every person’s financial transactions (it’s actually a country of 1.8 billion prisoners not citizens.) Although China is clearly overall outperforming in most respects, if their country has no bitcoin but the rest of the world is accumulating it and innovating on top of it, it only hurts them.

    The only way the governments can really put a stop to it is if they ban together.

    I think Bitcoin probably becomes the world’s default store of value in the coming decade instead of treasuries\bonds\etc. However, if the world actually started transacting in crypto on a large scale, we’d essentially be living in a hunger games anarcho-libertarian world because there would be no ability to expand the money supply and that could be a bit of a dystopia as well (but it just might happen)

    DrD- my son can articulate it quite well (and in fairness so can most of his friends) but your right, the peers they are reaching out to have been raised in a world of 10 seconds Tik Tok clips and history class that consists of “capitalism creates inequality”.
