Getting back to the previous thread, I think Biden is doing everything the left wants (including tanking the economy so more people will depend on the government). Of course, the left doesn’t want the blame for tanking the economy so it will blame Biden after he is kicked to the curb. It wants Harris to look good going into 2024, even 2022.

* Sticking with the GOP.
* Hinted he was going to run again.
* Will support GOP candidates in ’22.
* Pointed out Biden* screw ups.
If there was anything weak it is the fact that we are no longer a country of laws. Yes he hit SCOTUS hard. But at this juncture, I hate to say it, we are at the ‘win at all costs’ stage. The courts are closed. Its time to fight fire with fire.

Bad news for Democrats and RINOS. Unlike W., Trump won’t be fading into the sunset, ever though Trump is much richer and has a much hotter wife. Trump has always been big on payback. He has a list and, unlike Santa, he doesn’t need to check it twice.
The biggest challenger in defeating RINOs is multiple candidates splitting the conservative vote.

This thing is just going to go parabolic again in 2024. If central banks don’t stop it it’s literally going to eat the entire world financial system.
I know that sounds hyperbole, but it’s all preprogrammed into the way this thing has been set up.

I’ve been listening to some Lyn Alden videos on YouTube. Never ran across her before, but a number of other things I’ve been listening to for the last few weeks have referenced her (as I believe you have as well) so I thought I would hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. Also, ran into a Peter Schiff video last night that I listened to. Doesn’t seem his message has changed one bit since 2008, but he’s a little less unhinged these days — probably getting mellower in his old age. The funny thing is, both Lyn and Peter are negative on the dollar and diagnose the same problems with central bank abuses of fiat, but they draw different conclusions on how to play it. Still bewildered by what we little guys should do in face of a looming dollar crisis.
Made number 3 of 10 purchase of BTC/ETH today. I must have really started this at just the wrong time as my first two purchases from the previous weeks were down 25%. Ouch. Needless to say, my wife is NOT impressed at all with crypto. However, I’ll continue to stick to my long-term plan and see how it plays out over the next few years. If 1% of my portfolio grows to 10%, that will be a big win. If 1% stays out 1%, no sweat. If 1% turns into 0%, then I’ll be a little sore about it, but lesson learned.

For instance, let’s say Trump stages a comeback and gets elected again in 2024. Would he go back to selecting the likes of Jeff Sessions, Nikki Halley, Rex Tillerson, James Mattis, and other weak cabinet positions who would once again handicap him before he even gets out of the gate?
If Trumps just brings in another cabinet of swap creatures, what’s the point?

We seem to have reached similar positions.
Regarding Trump, it was a good speech and I enjoyed it. My conclusion is that
1) he’ll be a power in the GOP for some time to come
2) he won’t be running in 2024
Trump did lots of positive things, a really enormous number of positive things. But he could not counter the Swamp. And he could not counter election shenanigans. From the speech, it’s clear to see he hasn’t figured out how to refute those things so he won’t hit his head on a wall. He’ll be a power behind the throne. My 2c.

Without running himself, this may be tough to pull off. Money certainly can be soft power, if he is willing to invest in a chosen candidate. Hard power would be successfully finding a worthy successor and transferring the great majority of the MAGA movement to this successor. Such a person would instantly become the GOP front runner for 2024. Very possible, but lots can go wrong. Particularly with RINOs, NeverTrumpers, Democrats, and the media looking to instantly tar and feather any candidate who looks to be taking the mantle of the MAGA movement.
I’m not certain Trump could find a person who could successfully take up the mantle. Trump is a very unique personality with just the right combination of toughness (goes after Democrats), sensitivity (sympathetic to Joe Sixpack despite being a billionaire), and media savviness (keeps himself in the headlines day-after-day). Potential contenders so far seem to be lacking such a balance.

Age is one factor. Another is not having a solution for electoral fraud and criminal collusion between various power centers.
But time will tell.

51, I agree with you. I don’t see Trump running in 2024 because of age as well. Particularly if Biden poops out in a few months because of age — which is looking more and more likely. I’m just not optimistic that a younger, worthy successor will be found. I sincerely hope that I’m wrong. Perhaps there is a populist waiting in the wings that hasn’t appeared on our radar yet.

Judging by the last 2 years and the speech no, I suppose that could change but I wouldn’t count on it, since it didn’t change after his first year in the job, or his 2nd or most of his 3rd, only in 4th it did seem to finally start to learn the lesson – or at least do anything about it and it was way to late being boxed in by snakes, some of his own choosing and making – and refusing to dump.

Want to make changes? Then you need a Donald Trump avatar as Senate Majority leader. That tenure has to be for a very long time — order of 30 years at least:
* Senate shapes the Judiciary not POTUS. Took me years to learn that one. POTUS my select, Senate Majority leader as a member of the Judiciary committee ‘elects’.
* Has the guts to buck the Speaker on budgets.
* Has the brains to recommend and confirm cabinet members from outside the beltway.
Sadly McConnell has many of those attributes but the one that counts, he’s a wuss.

You are 100% correct. The RINOs strategy is to flood primaries with so-called conservatives. One may receive 40% of the primary vote while others receive 6%, 4%, 3%, etc. The RINO wins with 42% in states that don’t require run-off elections.

They managed to take away the one thing from Trump that most of his supporters wanted taken away anyway.
By robbing Trump of his Twitter feed, could it actually amplify his message to the masses? Something to ponder.

Another small-ish detail on the Trump speech. He made a point of talking up Jim Jordan quite vigorously. What was that about?
When Trump asked several times “I wonder *who* will be the Repub nominee in ’24?” was he hoping the crowd would ignite in shouting “YOU! YOU!”?
They didn’t.
Good speech. Best President of my lifetime. But I think it’s time for someone else to take on the fight (I could be wrong).
