This Just in from The Ministry of Truth!

2022 August 1
by justrand

We here at the Ministry of Truth! are partying 24×7 like it’s 1984.  Once upon a time our glorious leaders had to fret about the meaning of words…even the word “is”.

Take Emperor (emeritus) Bill Clinton…please:

It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is. If the—if he—if ‘is’ means is and never has been, that is not—that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement.”

Yet people scoffed at that crystal clear statement!  (and we know who ALL of you are who scoffed!)

Now, of course, it is accepted by all but a troublesome few (and we know who THEY are too!) that the meaning of any word relies solely on what WE, the Ministry of Truth, say it is…on any given day.  We are updating your NewSpeak dictionaries hourly, so we “insist” that you check them BEFORE saying or writing anything.  Or better still, just SHUT UP!  When we want your opinion we’ll let you know what your opinion is.

Now that we’ve cleared that up, on to the glorious transition we are all experiencing!

His eminence, Sir Paul Krugman, explained on unReliable Sources yesterday, that:

Jobs are abundant, although maybe the job market is weakening. Inflation is high, though maybe inflation is coming down. What does it matter whether you use the R word or not?  I’ve never seen anything as bad as the determination of a lot of people to say it’s a recession.  It’s above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen.”

Sir Krugman then said:

If you ask people how’s your financial situation, it’s pretty favorable.”

When asked when the last time was that he personally bought gasoline or food, Krugman reached for a calendar from 1988…so his frame of reference is still being verified.

The point is that ALL IS WELL.  And any temporary transitory transitions to the non-recessionary uninflatable future are being well and truly handled as we transition to tomorrow as soon as today is over with.  Or something.  The official wording will be even BETTER worded…if that’s possible.

Once again, The Ministry of Truth reminds everyone to stay calm and only become panicky when told to do so…and then do exactly what we say!

And we remind you that we have ALWAYS been at war with Eurasia EastAsia Eurasia EastAsia!

This week’s Public Service Announcement

Big Brother Brandon president Biden reminds you all to get re-re-re-inoculated and/or re-re-re-boosted with the latest Covid vaccine.  He sends this reminder from his quarantine room where he is recovering from his 13th bout with Covid.  Uncle Joe insists he would have had Covid FOURTEEN times, if he hadn’t been inoculated and boosted 46 times.

So get in line for those awesomely effective vaccines and boosters!!

“When asked when the last time was that he personally bought gasoline or food, Krugman …”

A bit off topic but I’m still feeling illuminated by something I read by former Greenpeace founder Patrick Moore.
He made the point that all those miners, truckers, farmers, ranchers, oilmen, … they are not plundering the planet. They are not violating fragile Mother Earth. That group of people and occupations exist solely to deliver a stream of essential resources including food, clean water, and electricity that keeps the city people alive.
Green initiatives, taken to their logical conclusion, result in the death of those “green” activists.

“The first settlement in the U.S. has been reached in a class action lawsuit filed by health care workers over a university system’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
Chicago-based NorthShore University HealthSystem has agreed to pay more than 500 current and former health-care workers a total of $10,337,500 as part of the terms of the settlement. It’s also changing its policy to accommodate religious exemption requests and rehiring former employees who were fired or forced to resign whose exemption requests were denied.”

For those who doubt (even a tiny bit) the wonderfulness of Paul Krugman’s economic knowledge, remember he won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1831…two years BEFORE Alfred Nobel was even born!

THAT’S how smart Paul Krugman is!

It’s also changing its policy to accommodate religious exemption requests and rehiring former employees who were fired or forced to resign whose exemption requests were denied.

Something that really burns me is why does one need a “religious” exemption from the vaxx? Shouldn’t a “mind your own business” exemption be enough?

14, re the “mind yr own bidness” exemption. Yes but they were busy selling us on the need for EVERYONE to take the vaxx, otherwise Covid would persist and come back.
It was a false premise and the falseness was obvious to the Covid Dissenter health professional community and well explained to folks like us who are interested laymen … but that was the battle cry of the elites.
I mean if it was simply “ok, don’t take the vaccine and die–fine with us” there would have been no conflict. But somehow NOT taking the vaxx was a threat to others … according to them.

The accents are a bit tough to follow at times but a good presentation on what the EU is facing.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJC2jTUHYjQ
Future Prices: How Prepared Is Europe For The Winter?

    Some bullet points:
    1) The expert says Euros are tougher than people think and will just bear it (me: rolls eyes) because they will remember how tough their grandparents were.
    2) At present rates, Germany will run out of stored natgas in December.
    3) There will still be gas arriving, for example from Norway and some LNG, but not nearly enough. I didn’t hear a number presented so I don’t know how much that reduced value is estimated to be.
    4) With present laws in Germany, households are legally prioritized. That will have to change, otherwise industry will see massive cuts and unemployment will skyrocket
    5) Italy is most in danger, heavily dependent on RU natgas, lack of nuclear, lack of coal fallback

The expert says 4 GazProm execs are dead in the last couple of months, he presents it as perhaps due to being insufficiently quick to obey Putin’s orders. This was new to me but has been well reported in Euro media. Sample:

28 – Just listen to how the LGBTQ+ community wanting to engage in random, anonymous sex with each other is described by the Government and media as “the population most at risk”. Whereas, during the height of the Wuhan Flu anyone not toeing the government line and wanting to be left alone was referred to as a “super-spreader”.

Meanwhile: “A New Low in Desperate Pro-Mask Studies Has Been Reached”
    https://stevekirsch.substack.com/p/new-systematic-review-claims-masks
There is a new systematic review of 1732 mask studies to determine whether masks work. It is on a preprint server meaning it is not peer-reviewed.

Almost all of the 1732 potential studies were eliminated so they only looked at 13 studies with a total of 243 COVID infections between the two groups.

One of the 13 studies that was not eliminated was done in 2004 which is impressive since SARS-CoV-2 didn’t exist at the time.

Me: I’ve read that there are 2 solid studies, well designed with lots of participants–one from Finland, the other from Denmark that show without a doubt that masks (Dem Party MAGA hat equivalents) are not at all useful.

A renowned Dutch scientist has been studying all-cause-mortality. Because boosters were administered to certain age groups in a staggered sequence, it is possible to peer more deeply into the data to see if there is a match between getting a boost and then dying afterwards.

“I have edited the transcript below to focus on his latest study, which statistically tests the possibility of correlation of the booster vaccine campaigns (in the 60+ year cohort) in the Netherlands to excess all-cause mortality. The hypothesis basically being that there is a temporal (time) statistical correlation between regional vaccine uptake and spikes in excess all cause mortality in the 60+ cohort of vaccine recipients. The government of the Netherlands has employed a strategy of deploying “booster” doses of the genetic vaccines as regional vaccination waves, which provides an opportunity to examine possible correlations after sorting data by time and region.”

Spoiler: “Theo has now sent that data to the Government of Holland. I think his study may be one of the most important to become available this year, because the correlation linking the vaccines and excess mortality in the tested (60+ year) cohorts appears to be extremely strong.”

Caution: The paper still awaits formal peer review
