Too many conservative senators like Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) and Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) are to blame for the GOP’s downfall, one of their retiring Republican colleagues complained Monday.”We got too many Jim DeMints and Tom Coburns,” Sen. George Voinovich (R-Ohio) told the Columbus Dispatch. “It’s the southerners.”

Voinovich, a native Clevelander who retires after the 2010 election, continued after the southern elements of the GOP.

What is this, like 12 posts today? You trying to beat Glenn Reynolds?

Voinovich is a worthless crybaby as everyone knows.

And you know what this post proves about who is not qualified for national office in this country…

OK! Bc3b, the tearful Voinivich….he is an oft-demonstrated RINO, ACU rating <70. Now you are talking! But his own state knows he is a wimp. God, how can such a fairy ever get elected as an R anywhere? And I dont apologize for the term fairy unless you are Tinkerbell.

Did you read those comments? Holy crap, Voinovich is one of those who doesn’t read the bills he votes on, and they are praising him?

Jesus. Our country really is baked. Time to cash it in.

Voinovich is retiring – thank God.

He has done more damage to the GOP in Ohio than any other politician.

Voino is ridiculous. Not an ounce of testiclular material anywhere on that “guy”. Not even a gram.

Voinovich – as pathetic a sniveling little nancy-boy as ever darkened the Capitol halls – weeping like a little girl at the thought of that awful John Bolton representing America in the UN. Disgraceful.

This is disgusting, although I am glad DeMint is getting under his skin.

Voinovich obviously cares little for the Constitution. I’ll tell you I think a vast majority of Congress should be impeached for violation of their oath of office.

    “It’s the southerners.”

It’s also a bigoted statement about the South. Another one who doesn’t like us bitter, Bible & gun clingers.

Well, as a SOUTHERNER, I think the South is the last redoubt of the Republic. (Alaska should only be below the Mason-Dixon line! 🙂 )

I am extraordinarily grateful for DeMint. He’s fighting for all of us.
