Gift Wrapped Irony

Every so often a story comes along that touches your heart, or gives you pause to think about the true meaning of life and what matters most. This isn’t that story. The jokes write themselves here in a classic tale of irony, and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy. In a case of what can only be described as hilarious timing, Mr. Come On In The Water’s Fine is dealing with quite a stinky situation.

Parts of the Tisbury Great Pond remained closed yesterday but others were open after new testing brought the bacteria counts back down to acceptable levels. Powers said he couldn’t say whether the first family should avoid swimming in the pond during their 10-day Vineyard vacation.

“It’s not my job to recommend or not recommend whether or not to go in the water,” he said. “I just get the numbers and take the appropriate action.”

But when we asked another town official whether or not it was safe for the prez to take a dip in the pond, he was a little more informative.

“Depends on whether or not he likes to swim in poop,” joked the longtime islander, who shall remain nameless.

To be fair, this would ruin anyone’s 6th vacation of the year, because don’t you go on vacation to escape your current job? Why leave one place where you are swimming in poop, just to go to another?

if the water wasn’t already contaminated it would have been after Obama swam in it anyway!

but this is gonna stress him out so much he’ll no doubt need a SEVENTH vacation soon. And he running out of time to squeeze that in this year.

relaxing is hard work…but Barry’s trying!!

I hear ‘Do you miss me Yet?’ T-shirts are leading in sales of the Obama O that was selling hot last year at the Vineyard. Martha’s is a island right? So why doesn’t he just take dip in the Atlantic. A rather pissed oily whale might do us a favor.
