Dear Lord, please hold tight those who are mourning the loss of their loved ones today. Bless them and keep them, make your face to shine upon them; be gracious unto them, and give them peace. Amen.

We remember, and we must never forget!

This is NOT a “Day of Service”…but you can serve whoever you like.

This is NOT a day when [Obama guidelines] “The important theme is to show the world how much we realize that 9/11 — the attacks themselves and violent extremism writ large — is not ‘just about us“…this day is ALL ABOUT US!

This IS a day to remember. Remember the sorrow, remember the anger, remember the resolve. The enemy that murdered 3,000 of our people on 9/11 wants to murder 300,000…or more. They are still out there, and we have brave men & women out there fighting them every day. Remember THEM too!

Unfortunately, political correctness and politics seems to have taken precedence over remembering the event and those who were killed. There is room for politicians, but not for first responders at today’s memorial service at Ground Zero. At a service at the National Cathedral today, one of the leaders will be the head of a national Muslim organization, yet Catholics and Evangelicals are not represented.

Who was the only member of the clergy to die in 9-11. I can’t remember, but I think it was an imam.

We should always mark this day to remember and honor the victims. And we should also set aside time to place accountability squarely where it belongs. This was an act of terror perpetrated on innocent Americans by a perverse, twisted death cult that goes by the name of Islam. This despicable act was done in the name of their god and their religion. To blame this on some small sliver of radicalized Islam is not accurate. This was an act that is clearly sanctioned in their holy book, and was openly supported and celebrated by most of the Islamic world. Even the most moderate Imams used very passive language when addressing this 10 years ago, and still carefully parse their words, generally stopping short of condemnation. Islam is the enemy, not the radicalized component, but the entire fetid cesspool of evil. We need to stop lumping it in with the peaceful religions of the world in the name of tolerance, and call it exactly what it is. We need to say the words out loud. Sorry, I know I should be feeling great sadness today, but watching the family members choking up remembering their dads, moms, sons and daughters, I am overcome with anger.

This is most certainly NOT a day of service, in the way B.O. means it anyway. Serving up gumbo is just not what today is about.

Alan Jackson’s song is so amazing. Watching those images brings it all back. Obama’s ceremony today is just a circus and I pray that people see him for the self centered, egomanic, disconnected %#%^%$$# that he is.

#6 I can’t watch it. Knowing that he rejected first responders and clergy, and that his speech will most likely include 17 I’s? Forget it.

Not watching either. Doing something that honors the heroes who gave their lives AND the heroes who were willing to but not called to.
