Fracture Point

2013 March 24

fractureIn metallurgy it is possible to determine the fracture point of a particular piece of metal or alloy…using arcane formulas like the one at right (which I don’t pretend to understand).  Then, of course, the metal or alloy must tested to validate it before it is used in a particular way in a particular structure…to avoid disaster.  For if you apply sufficient force in the appropriate place to any metal it WILL fracture.

It’s not so easy to determine the fracture point of a person…or of a people.  But America, IMHO, is approaching a fracture point.  Yet rather than try to prevent the fracture, Obama and his DHS minions are instead preparing for the aftermath of the fracture.  Gee…almost like they WANT the fracture to happen.  Hmmm…

Why does DHS need 2,700 urban assault vehicles, BILLIONS of bullets, and countless military grade munitions of all sorts?  Thus far they have REFUSED to testify to Congress regarding this:

 http://nation.foxnews.com/dhs/2013/03/21/big-sis-refuses-answer-congress-bullet-purchases

Golly, isn’t Congress supposed to have oversight responsibility for agencies it funds???  Pretty old-fashioned thinking on my part, eh?

Obama and his minions (including some Republicans) are applying more and more pressure, and disregarding or minimizing the creaks and groans of a society fast approaching the point of no return.  Their wanton disregard guarantees that the fracture IS coming…though when it will happen is unclear, as is where the first cracks will appear.  DHS is preparing for it…I strongly suggest each of us does as well.

I was at mass during Mullet’s comment on Nicolle Wallace. If that b!tch got runover by a Mack truck I wouldn’t be upset. Obviously going to mass didn’t have much of an effect of me.

I think it’s hard to find any Republican President that hired more dirtbags than Bush43.

bc3b, the Republican Party is filled with OPPORTUNISTS…the Democrat Party is filled with TRUE-BELIEVERS. True-believers in Socialism, Re-distribution of wealth, Communism…and ALWAYS Statism. All of which the media glorifies!!

Yet any time any of We The People mention OUR true beliefs (God, the Constitution, Freedom, etc) we are labeled: “Fanatics!”…and even “Potential Domestic Terrorists”.

But fracture points and fissures are becoming more obvious every day. Tic…tic…tic…

I don’t know whom Notre Dame’s opponent is, but whoever they are, I hope they kick ND’s butt (and I’m an Irish Catholic who has relatives – by marriage – who are ND grads). I was SO happy Friday night when Iowa State eliminated them from the NCAA BB Tourney.

White they are batcrap crazy, I will give the Dems credit for being true believers (although their beliefs are likely to be the death of the country). The GOP is filled with “whores” like McConnell, Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy, Priebus and Rove.

And, FNC is just as whorish as the GOP.

    agree completely, gnqanq!

It WON’T be what they think it will be. Those responsible for the fracturing exist in a sight/sound/thought bubble…talking only to those who agree with them completely. They have no idea we exist (or doubt our numbers).

We, on the other hand, are subjected to their propaganda daily…we know only too well who, what, and how many they are.

A big, and ultimately telling, difference…IMHO.

The observation follows an old Marxist axiom — In any upheaval there are always 2 revolutions, not one.

The first sweeps away the old order. The second installs the winners of the final outcome. So far this has held true. Which, should it come to the US, means that the Leftists who think they will hold power in fact will be the second to go in short order after the members of the old guard have been eliminated.

    Please take note —

Retailers, facing cash-on-delivery demands from suppliers, warned stocks were running low. “At the moment, supplies will last another two or three days,” said Adamos Hadijadamou, head of Cyprus’s Association of Supermarkets. “We’ll have a problem if this is not resolved by next week.”

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-03-24/cyprus-bailout-needs-rise-%E2%82%AC2-billion-conditions-deteriorate-rapidly

Retailers in this particular case being supermarkets. Shall I rerun the barnyard series again?? Essentially if the facts hold true, its 10 days then the food is gone in Cyprus.

IP – less. From what I have seen & heard – 2 days. Because of JIT (just in time delivery) most grocery stores have 1 to 2 days. Some people believe SHTF in 48 hours or less. Look at how the public reacts when a storm approaches – bread, eggs and milk – gone.

Thus when SHTF – what you have is what you have. Better to be 10 years too early vs 1 day late.

22 – Apparently they want to keep having a business presence in the US, I agree with you though more people\countries need to tell the US to fk off, perhaps back when this started though they needed the free-Ben-bucks too bad. That said only the stupid people who have accounts in their names are likely to get screwed, I sort of doubt those with multilevel trust action going on are going to be much affected.

“The proposal, dubbed “Save our Swiss Gold”, would prohibit the Swiss National Bank (SNB) from offloading its gold reserves as well as force it to hold at least 20 percent of its assets in gold, the committee behind the plan said on Wednesday.”

When this economic collapse comes – every one is going down. There will be no survivors.

China, Brazil, Russia and others MAY think they are OK. But when it hits – who is going to be buying their goods and services. They are going down. May be a day later BUT they are going to get hit hard too. Because they will have millions unemployed. And we all know that these people will become restless. Much like what we see in Europe today.

    18,

Actually I believe the Richards’ assessment of our financial strata. It could be brought down I suspect. But the gut tells me that our enemies won’t need to do anything. You watch the markets and we are doing it to ourselves day by day.

The sad fact is, our `betters` will take this information as a sign that they yet need more control when that is exactly the opposite of what the solution should be. If you look at the financial markets as a computer, its designed and operating like a mainframe. All the intelligence at the core (your holdings, transactions, etc) and no intelligence at the user side (paper stock certificates, letters of credit, etc). For an attacker that makes the job somewhat easier there are only a few systems to assault. What needs to be developed is just the opposite. A user side intelligent card that has all your financial data on it. A bitcoin like cryptography scheme that is capable of handling the diversity of financial instruments out there. (bitcoin itself is too limited based on what I have read on the tech scheme behind it.)

When the core only holds daily transactional data there would not be that much there to attack and recovery could be pretty swift on the user side. But it will never happen. It does not lend itself to more control from the government.

That’s a given. Have already read several articles that China is trying to tamp down their profligate lending. The inflation bubble that is about to hit them will tear that country apart.

drdog – what I find funny is how many people think China and others will be a safe harbor. Their aint going to be any safe harbors.

Certain countries may think they will be ok. But since everyone is interlocked financially – they all are going down.

What is going to be extra hard is what happens to the world as the food markets grind to a halt. Mass starvation.

Hey Russia, hey China – want wheat – fuck you – eat shit.

I have always believed that IF you can keep your people fed – you have a chance. Once people go hungry – watch out. Unrest will soon follow.

If certain other countries want economic war. Lets give them the real thing. Not a shooting war BUT a war with food (or lack of). We have never ever used food as a weapon, sure would be interesting.

What does the NFL owner say before the SHTF hits? “I am 100% behind the coach.” —

“[Rep. Billy Long (R-Mo.)] Long said Wednesday that his resolution, H.Res. 129, was introduced to ensure the United States never considers a levy on deposits.

“The government should not tax people’s private savings accounts, which they have already paid taxes on, especially for the purpose of funding more bailouts,” Long said. “I was shocked by the news that some countries might be considering these kinds of taxes, and I think Congress should say that this kind of tax won’t happen in America.”

Simple. The counter intuitive angle. If we say that we will back it we are on the hook. Better to not make the commitment. I have no faith in FDIC. They are not sufficiently funded to withstand a nationwide bank run. Back to my front office analogy.

Interesting. On Friday you are the CEO of the second largest bank in the country. On Monday you are on the unemployment lines. Funny thing is not a single shareholder voted you out —

Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades agreed to shut the country’s second-largest bank under pressure from a German-led bloc in a night-time negotiating melodrama that threatened to rekindle the debt crisis and rattle markets.

“It’s been yet another hard day’s night,” European Union Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn told reporters in Brussels early today. “There were no optimal solutions available, only hard choices.”

IP & drdog…I’m making sure my wife & I have sufficient “hard assets” (including food & fuel, etc) to ride out the first few months should (when) the financial system collapses (or is made irrelevant). During that time I will be determining what else we need to do for the longer term.

but everybody needs to be able to survive those first few months…that is the key! Not everyone can stock up and store sufficient to last indefinitely…but you need to be able to ride out the first few waves of stooopidity that will result.
