Great Speech. But the fact that the CPAC audience gave Paul Ryan a standing ovation and didn’t give Michelle Malkin one says volumes about CPAC and the direction it has taken.

Agreed. Especially when you consider that many of the CPAC audience are underlings to underlings that are interns. Calling the head boss a bas$%$d would not work well on the resume.

Michelle Malkin is always excellent! Maybe Trump can make her VP!

    4. CPAC – Standing ovation for Paul Ryan shows them as nothing but frauds.

Today’s CPAC attendee is far more interested in gay rights than in anything resembling conservatism.

As for me…we have been without power (you know, powerless…like Conservatives) for 24 hours. Big ass storms here!

    Just got power back!

drdog, we do indeed! But…the generator wasn’t working right. I fixed it yesterday morning, but we didn’t want to run it continuously since it does use up the propane (though it is plumbed to our 500 gallon tank). We needed it again this morning when the power went out again!

10 inches of rain in 48 hours…and now 6 inches of snow right after that! Yikes.

Fear and loathing in the foreign diplomatic corps — — Good. “…but two said they included at least India, South Korea, Japan and Mexico.” What’s common about all these countries? They by proxy feed of the US. India for Tata and displacing US IT workers. South Korea to sell cars here via Mexico. Japan, same. Mexico because their number one budget source is now remittences by illegals to home.

They are nervous because the gravy train might be ending.

The Michigan primary election (for both parties) is tomorrow. Very little advertising. I heard Bernie ads on the radio (one yesterday and one this morning) and a Hillary commercial this morning.

Four years ago you couldn’t turn the radio on for 30 minutes without hearing an ad by a Romney PAC bashing Santorum (for two weeks before the primary).

Willard enjoys bashing Republicans far more than Obama and the Democrats.

The GOPe is truly signaling they would prefer President Hillary to President Trump. I shouldn’t be surprised…but somehow I am?

The revolution in our midst — — “Of those 7,000, about 14 percent were Democrats who voted Republican, Kale-Pesta said. That’s about 1,000 so far. ”

Take 14% away from HRC nationally and how can she win? There is only one way — GOPe type voters stay home.

    Justrand #19 –

The leaders of the GOP are far more interested in maintaining control of the party than taking control of the White House. And, itv receives so much money from the donor class thatitbno longer needs contributions from the grass roots.

    Drdog09 #20

Leaders of the GOP have long talked about the need for a bigger tent. Now it has a candidate who is attracting blue collar Democrats and getting more of the black vote and they are trying to stop him.

  22. 2016 March 7 1:02 pm

14 – “They are nervous because the gravy train might be ending.”

Exactly. Once again putting all the right people on edge. lol

17 – Excuse to spend money.

19 – Because only you are supposed to suck it up and vote for their candidate like a good little beotch, you see, it doesn’t work the other way around.
    20 – yup

21-b – It’s insane, it’s all about control of the club, it’s clear they don’t even give a hoot about maintaining control of congress, let alone obtaining the WH, cause then they would be out of excuses and even more exposed.

Everyone knows that – Joe Washington, former NFL running back. He played for the Washington “Team that Cannot Be Named” from 1981 -1984 and was so popular that they named the city after him.

But today’s younger generations know important stuff, like political correctness.

Looks like Dearborn. I have not been in Dearborn in six years. My daughter’s high school played volleyball against Dearborn Divine Child. At that time, Dearborn was a divided city. The Muslim eastern half resembled a continuation of Detroit. The non-Muslim western half was actually still quite nice.

I suspect the DMZ is moving west, however.

Thanks Doc, haven’t seen Michelle like this in awhile.

My wife speculated on the possibility of General Petraeus as Trump’s VP. That could be entertaining.

  31. 2016 March 7 3:23 pm

31 – Check out DML’s ‘they come to america III’ , I think it was in hour 2 that they roll through Dearborn… quite “interesting” to say the least.

  32. 2016 March 7 3:31 pm

32 – Entertaining maybe, but ill-advised, and realistically not something Petraeus would agree too.

drdog – #20 – for your information, Youngstown/Mahoning County is hard core blue collar area. Don’t know if that is to play havoc in the Republican Primary OR serious about backing Trump. They are the type of Democrats Trump would appeal too.

At its peak steel production and mining were Youngstown’s primary industries. Today the city’s house vacancy rate is 20 times the national average.

36 – FNC had already started signaling they are going to take a dive on the emails matter late last week, not just with Hillary, but with coverage and spin around it as well. Tells me Rupert has decided they’re all-in for Hillary for POTUS.
