Elites Concerned Over Populist Movements

Donald Trump shocked the nation and the world when he upset Hillary Clinton to become president.A few weeks earlier the British stunned the rest of Europe with Brexit. Now populist movements are growing throughout Europe – in Italy, Spain, France and Germany. Eastern European leaders are defying Brussels on migrants and other matters.

The world’s elites are seeing an uprising of the peasant class and they dont like what they are seeing. People are coming to the realization that they should be deciding the future of their country rather than bureaucrats. Nationalistic movements are slowing the rise of globalism.

This has been cause for panic at Davos. In his last major speech, Vice President Joe Biden sounded the alarm.

Biden issues dire warning to world order at Davos speech

Vice President Joe Biden delivered an epic final speech Wednesday to the elites at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The gist of his speech was simple: At a time of “uncertainty” we must double down on the values that made Western democracies great, and not allow the “liberal world order” to be torn apart by destructive forces.

Biden went after Russian President Vladimir Putin by name, saying he is using “every tool” in his power to whittle away the European project, and undermine Western democracies. Biden accused Putin of wanting to “roll back decades of progress.”

Biden said Russia used “cyber aggression” to meddle in the U.S. election, an assertion supported by 17 U.S. intelligence agencies. He also warned that we will see further interference from Russia in the future and said the “purpose is clear” — that Putin wants to see a “collapse of the international order.”

“Simply put, Putin has a different vision of the future,” the vice president warned.

At the outset of his speech, Biden implored the media to not hear his speech as a shot at President-elect Donald Trump, who takes office on Friday. And, while what Biden said applies broadly to leaders in Europe, as well as the United States, there is no mistaking that his comments were a rebuttal to Trump’s friendly statements about the Russian president.

At a time when Trump and his advisors are talking about shaking up NATO, Biden said, we must “support our NATO allies. An attack on one is an attack on all. That can never be placed in question.”

Biden also warned that unlike Trump’s call for building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico, it’s not the time to build walls and live in fear.

Biden implored world leaders to work together to protect democracy from encroachments by Russia, Iran and others. Yet, Trump’s world view is “America First,” which runs counter to Biden’s view.

Biden didn’t merely urge the world leaders at Davos to maintain the status quo. He warned that the reason for the pressure on the democratic order is the rise in income inequality and the hollowing out of the middle class, as the rich get richer and people in developing nations see their lives gradually improve.

He said the top 1 percent is not paying their fair share, and as a result we are seeing social instability increase.

“We need to tap into the big heartedness,” Biden said. “This is a moment to lead boldly.”

So, if “it’s not the time to build walls and live in fear,” why is Barack Obama building a wall around his new home in DC? And, if Jeff Zuckerberg wants open borders and mass illegal immigration, why is he working to force native Hawaiians to sell their property so he can have greater privacy? If Zuck wants Americans to share their country with illegal aliens, shouldn’t he be willing to share the beach with native Hawaiians?

I will wearing sweatpants all day tomorrow as I watch the Inauguration.

Because (for one day only! 🙂 ) anyone who doesn’t like the fact that Donald Trump is our new President can show up and KISS MY ASS.

The sweatpants are simply easy to pull down…affording them the full “experience”.

The article contains the AWESOME photo of Obama’s White House cronies, and this great observation:

“Only twenty-four hours left in which to tell us how many gallons of water per minute the shower in our bathroom at home can pump, tell us what our eight-year-old can and cannot learn in third grade, who is allowed in what women’s or men’s room, the food our child has to eat for lunch, what doctor we can use, what religious conviction will be tolerated, and how many aliens will be dumped in our town square whom we have to pay for.”

Lagarde said policy makers “really have to think it through and see what can be done” given the feedback from voters who say “No.” Among measures that could be implemented are fiscal and structural reforms, she added.

“But it needs to be granular, it needs to be regional, it needs to be focused on what will people get out of it and it probably means more redistribution than we have in place at the moment,” Lagarde told the panel.

So the elites get/deliver the message that more redistribution is needed. Of course we know redistribution is what got us into this mess. Kind of like how more debt was supposed to be the cure for the debt crisis. From now on whenever they have that meeting in Switzerland I am going to call it —

    Davos for Dummies.

    Maybe I will write a book….

The metro sexual males are in a dither,
Like dog pecker gnats flitting hither and thither,
Their lace panties are bereft of gonads that left,
They are so proud of their camel toes so cleft,
Every day that passes their manhood does wither.

Destroy your country, your way of life and your families’ safety. to help the Muslim hoards … that kind of redistribution?

Spicer – we’ll be retaining at least in the short term 50 of Obama’s national security related people.

If it’s not very very short term (days\weeks – not months) he’s gonna get stabbed in the back with leaks out the ass, or really I guess it would be the front in that case.

I just have this nagging feeling that Bathhouse Barry is going to pull some BS immigration move in the final hour of his term. If the clock chimes Noon EST tomorrow without some legal shenanigans to do a presidential blanket pardon for every illegal alien on US soil, only then will I relax. Right now I feel the same way JR felt when Jill Stein was trying her crap, and again when there was a movement to flip the electors. I’m on the ledge. Even though it’s long odds against him doing this, and I’ve heard countless arguments showing how it’s impossible for hit to do it, I won’t be off the ledge until 12:01.

We are less than 24 hours now.

The ONLY celebrity I am truly pissed at for pulling out of the Inauguration is Garth Brooks.

    What a pussy!

Tony Kieth was surely talking about him when he said this the other day: “Some of those pulling out of inauguration need to look between their legs and realize they need to grow a pair”

JBoz, I’m with you. Obama is NOT damaging this country. He’ll trash something else before we evict his scrawny ass.

Think of it like a H-1B program. The incoming people need to know what the outgoing people knew. On Monday the new director says to the 50 — “You tell these incoming folks probable actions but your days of issuing memos just ended.” Probably best case. We shall see, eh?

I have said for many moons now that the final act of perfidy from the kenyan kommie would be blanket amnesty. That wouldn’t in my opinion make them legal residents because there are still laws on the books that call for deportion. A pardon/amnesty woud preclude proseution for violations of the law, but they are still illegals, obama can’t change that fact.
