“He was guilty of nothing, except that he earned his own fortune and never forgot that it was his.“ The concept contained within that phrase is what has set America apart, and made her the greatest nation on Earth. And it is the systematic attack on that concept, that this website is dedicated to fighting. This website is NOT devoted to making people “wealthy”, but rather to fighting the notion that the “wealth” they DO have needs to be “redistributed”.
We are not big spenders when it comes to Christmas. Maybe $150 spent on each of the 2 Bozlets. And Mrs Boz and I usually do some kind of practical splurge earlier in the year (like getting our hardwood floors refinished), and call that our present to each other. So I figure that by avoiding Black Friday sales, I probably miss out on $50 worth of savings at most. My business career taught me long ago to place a value on my time, especially my personal time. Thus, the 3 hours I would lose playing the Black Friday game would amount to about $17 for an hour of my precious personal time. NO THANKS!
I’m hearing similar, and there are varying levels of extreme to all of this. From what I can tell, a Marine Expeditionary Unit landed at Langley a few days ago. The unit that was selected appears to be one that is only deployed when something big is about to happen. And considering all the hot spots around the globe, it seems very strange that this unit would be deployed under the cover or darkness to Langley. The most credible sources I follow suggest that this is in advance of something very big, and that’s where the various conspiracy theories start to diverge. As far as I can tell, this unit has not stormed the CIA, but many believe it’s a show of force to thwart a potential soft coup by the CIA to take down POTUS.
Anyone else following this Q Anon thing on 4 Chan? Seems more credible and has more gravity than some past head-fakes, but at the same time it’s so fantastic as to strain the limits of common sense. If t all ends up fake, then it’s still been fun to follow…if it’s true, or any part of it’s true, then “hold on Nelly”…we are in for the wildest ride of our lifetime.
i had missed drdog’s link on the previous thread…hmmm….
I DO think something very big is on the horizon in the next 12 months. I’m just hoping it holds off for a 6 months, at least. That’ll give me time to finish some prep I started.
Support one of the world’s richest men … a man who owns the Washington Post, hates conservatives and wants to destroy the country as we know it? No thanks. I order stuff on line but try to avoid Amazon if it’s at all possible. Best Buy, Wally World and virtually every other major retailer enables you to buy online with either home delivery or in-store pickup.
JR – # 4 “I absolutely don’t trust the CIA, but would even they be stoooopid enough to attempt a coup? Okay, yeah, they would.”
The Deep State certainly might if it believed that their ace-in-the-hole Russia investigation was crumbling, that something devastating was about to be exposed, and their entire house of cards was about to tumble.
The FBI is no more trustworthy. Today is the anniversary of the JFK assassination. In 1963, J. Edgar Hoover said, “We must convince the American people that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone” according to recently-released documents.
When you look at people in control – John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey and Andrew McCabe – there is absolutely no reason to trust them.
“Support one of the world’s richest men … ” By all means explore alternatives to Amazon. I do do that as well, especially if I can get a better overall price. But I do have some observatons:
1) Many an analyst has suggested that Amazon’s P/E can’t be supported by the underlying fundamentals for the stock. Me included. I have instructed my financial guy — NO FAANG STOCKS.
2) As a consequence of (1) Bezos may not be as rich as many think he is. He’ll never be the Duke brothers for sure but on any correction in the market he will slide down to may 50th richest.
3) Amazon itself would be a poor substitute for a consumer products company without their member vendors. Amazon in many ways operates like eBay without the auction activity.
Oh by the way remember Meg Whitman, the eBay wunderkind? She just got fired from HP.

Speaking of Houses of Cards…here’s Charlie Rose asking Kevin Spacey to vouch for Bill Clinton. You really can’t make this up…
