“Let He Who Is Without Sin Cast the First Stone”

Democratic Presidential Candidate and South Bend Mayor Petey Boy Buttigieg has taken to wearing his Christianity on his sleeve in recent months calling anyone who disagrees with him on issues unChristian.

On policing the border:

Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, called out Republicans for what he described as moral hypocrisy during the second night of the first Democratic presidential debates, in Miami. The conversation had turned to the border, where Donald Trump’s administration has continued to separate families seeking asylum and is detaining children in facilities reportedly without soap or toothbrushes or showers. “For a party that associates itself with Christianity, to say that … God would smile on the division of families at the hands of federal agents, that God would condone putting children in cages,” Buttigieg said, “has lost all claim to ever use religious language again.”

On climate change:

Speaking at CNN’s “Climate Crisis” Town Hall event on Wednesday, the Mayor of South Bend, Indiana said it was time to address the “very conservative places” and engage in frank dialogue about the threat of climate change.

But not set on stopping there, the affectionately known “Mayor Pete,” went on to take yet another swing at those Christians who hold a different view to him on the issue.

“Let’s talk in language that is understood across the heartland about faith,” Buttigieg explained to CNN’s Chris Cuomo. “If you believe that God is watching as poison is being belched into the air of creation, and people are being harmed by it — countries are at risk of vanishing in low-lying areas — what do you suppose God thinks of that? I bet He thinks it’s messed up.”

“The Bible Defends Abortion” according to Petey Boy:

Now, hoping to round out his biblical misunderstandings, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, has employed the Bible to justify abortion. On The Breakfast Club radio show on Friday, Buttigieg repeated his line that the Republican Party has no monopoly on religion, adding that it’s certainly on the wrong side of history when it comes to the abortion debate.

“Right now, they hold everybody in line with this one piece of doctrine about abortion, which is obviously a tough issue for a lot of people to think through morally. Then again, there’s a lot of parts of the Bible that talk about how life begins with breath, and so even that is something that we can interpret differently,” he said.

The Bible also says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb,” but that’s neither here nor there for Buttigieg, who continued: “I think no matter where you think about the cosmic question of how life begins, most Americans can get on board with the idea of, ‘I might draw the line here, you might draw the line there,’ but the most important thing is the person who should be drawing the line is the woman making the decision.”

Anyone who opposes same sex marriage has a problem “with my Creator”

Buttigieg, a baptized Catholic who now attends an Episcopalian Church, has repeatedly invoked his Protestantism to support his stance on a range of political issues, including support for same-sex marriage. Earlier this year, he said that those who opposed same-sex marriage had a problem “with my Creator.” Buttigieg is in a civil same-sex partnership. In recent months he has also invoked his religious affiliation to criticize Republican tax and immigration policies.

In an April appearance on Meet The Press, Buttigieg also defended earlier remarks in which he appeared to question President Donald Trump’s belief in God, and suggested that Evangelical Christians who support President Trump are hypocrites.

Yes, we live in a strange world, one in which a male presidential candidate married to another man sits in judgement of others, lectures Americans on morality, what is Christian and unChristian and is never called out.

President Trump has said that Attorney General Barr was “quoted incorrectly” in the Washington Post article on the pending Horowitz report. He added that the IG report will be “devastating”.

As to the Barr – Horowitz dust up. Keep in mind that BOTH of those gentlemen can be correct.
    * The Horowitz report only covers the DoJ/FBI, does NOT include anything about intelligence. Fact Horowitz is only authorized to cover DoJ and below. He has not authorization to investigate CIA/NSA/DoD.
    * Barr/Durham are casting a wider net that includes CIA/NSA/DoD. Barr most likely has evidence that Horowitz would not even be privy to. Ex. Horowitz to my knowledge has not sent teams to Ukraine in regards to his inquiry. Barr has.

Being the member of a protected class, Petey Boy can say whatever he wants without the fear of being called out,

Just as whoever opposed Obama was called “racissst” by the left, you vcan bet whoever opposes Petey Boy will be labeled homophobic.

So far it’s been a one-way street in favor of Petey Boy. For example, while Vice President Pence has said nothing derogatory about the mayor, Petey Boy has attacked Pence because he supports traditional marriage.

Whoever thought we’d be getting morality lectures from a man married to another man?

I am so tired of the diseased denizens of the Left twisting the Bible to support murdering children, any and EVERY sex act with any and EVERY species, the elimination of God’s plan for TWO sexes, and the restriction of the right to self-defense.

And Petey Boy is at the head of the line.

One of the things I find interesting is that many (most?) of the animal rights supports (i.e. pit bull rescue groups) are very liberal and pro-abort.

    Punishing conservatives even after death:

Several anonymous US bishops have delayed the beatification of Fulton Sheen. Bishop Sheen has been dead 40 years. Had there been any dirt on him, it would have come up by now. He was a priest that you see once in every generation – great orator, role model for priests, worked to feed the hungry around the world through the Propagation of the Faith, etc.

Sheen ran afoul of the liberals of his time – e.g. called out Cardinal Spellman when Spellman tried to charge the Propagation of the Faith for powered milk he was getting free from the US government.

The Church could use 100 Fulton Sheens in place of the political misfits that run most dioceses.

Unfortunately, Adam Schiff was born a couple of generations too late. He would have been perfect working for Stalin or Hitler, so perfect that Hitler would have overlooked the fact that he’s Jewish.

You are right about the media. That’s why fewer and fewer Americans pay any attention these days.

    Cue the non apology apology

Pamela Karlan: “I want to apologize for what I said earlier about the president’s son. It was wrong of me to do that. I wish the president would apologize, obviously, for the things that he’s done that’s wrong, but I do regret having said that.”

Pelosi as stand-up comic (from the article, emphasis mine):

==> That wasn’t the most laughable part of Pelosi’s speech, however, nor was it her full minute of Con Law analysis at the beginning of the statement. Instead, the laugh lines came when Pelosi declared that “the process has shown that Democrats have “hearts full of love and have taken a “somber approach” to impeachment. Say what? House Democrats have spent almost three years demanding impeachment over an ever-shifting series of rationalizations and claims, with her hand-picked impeachment manager repeatedly grandstanding for the cameras and claiming to have proof of wrongdoing that Schiff has never produced, even years later.

As Turley said yesterday, this is all about anger, not “hearts of love,” and about as somber as a pitchfork-and-torch mob.

Eph, 24, thanks for that link. It gives a lot more info about Sarah Pitlyk than my 18.

“Republicans in the U.S. Senate on Wednesday confirmed Sarah Pitlyk to a lifetime appointment as a federal judge in the Eastern District of Missouri. The 49-44 vote was largely split down party-lines, with every Democrat voting against the nominee and every Republican for Pitlyk — except for Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine).

Pitlyk joins the more than 160 federal judicial nominees to be confirmed under President Donald Trump. She was regarded by some to be one of Trump’s most controversial choices to date, primarily due to her opposition to women’s reproductive rights.

The former law clerk to now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is staunchly opposed not only to abortion, but to medical fertility treatments and surrogacy as well.”

As long as she rules based on the law and doesn’t make law, I’m OK with her having personal beliefs.

This short blog post is packed with info I didn’t know. Hospitals push back on Trump, don’t want to disclose what they charge publicly.

Like I said, a huge amount of info but here’s a line to set the stage:
“The hospital cafeteria must disclose how many calories are in a meal, but hospitals don’t have to disclose their prices. The hospitals argue that this violates their First Amendment rights.”

    Well. OK then.

Other than Trump (and possibly a few others – Marsha Blackburn comes to mind), every Republican has his/her price. We see it with supposed rock-rib conservatives (Cruz, Lee, Sasse, etc.) pushing for huge increases in H-1Bs and other guest worker programs, with green cards and a pathway to citizenship even through it will harm working-class Americans and move our country further left.

KH, some limited cases they can block an executive move. Its based on whether there is an existing treaty or trade agreement in force approved by the Senate. Somehow I don’t think that is the case here but I could be wrong.
