Fox Continues It’s Leftward Drift

2020 March 28
by bc3b

Outside of its prime time shows, there has been little conservative about Fox News Channel for years. True believers still think it’s conservative, but they also believe the WWE is real too. In recent years, the true believers have said, “Go to Fox Business; that’s really conservative. You won’t be disappointed.”

This past week Fox Business Network fired Trish Reegan – her ratings were fine, but she did the indefensible – criticized the media, accusing it of trying tr create a panic and defeat President Trump.

Ms. Regan’s show was pulled earlier this month after she blasted parts of “the liberal media” for exploiting the pandemic to politically hobble the president.

Her statement that partisan actors wanted “impeachment all over again,” resulted in the demise of “Trish Regan Primetime.”

Fox hires the disgraced former CNN contributor and DNC chair who leaked debate questions to Hillary in 2016 and fires Trish Regan for telling the truth. The Murdoch Boys and Eddie Munster, Jr. are running the show at Fox these days. And the Trump-hating, boring Pillsbury Doughboy – Neal Cavuto – wields far too much power at Fox Business Network.

Time for the true believers to wake up, smell the roses and swear off FNC and FBN.

“CDC Is Now Tracking Millions of Americans by Using Cell Phone Data — But Don’t Worry Because You Can Trust the Govt. to Not Spy on Innocent Americans

    That was quick!

Last week TGP reported that the CDC was asking tech giants for access to Americans’ cellphone locations. That way the government could track the location of every American and see whether Americans are properly practicing “social distancing.”

    The access was granted.

And now the CDC and US government are tracking every American to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

    But don’t worry.

The government would never abuse such a program to spy on innocent Americans.”

More deaths that can be attributed directly to fearmonger Trump adviser Anthony Fauci and power freak politicians.

The Knox County Regional Forensic Center examined nine suspected suicides just in the last 48 hours, eight from Knox County, according to Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, who tells it like it is.

These examinations equate to roughly 10% of last year’s total within Knox County, according to a news release from the mayor, reports WATE.

“That number is completely shocking and makes me wonder if what we are doing now is really the best approach,” Jacobs said. “We have to determine how we can respond to COVID-19 in a way that keeps our economy intact, keeps people employed and empowers them with a feeling of hope and optimism – not desperation and despair.”

    Fight On #17 –

The one in the polka dot bikini last Sunday was Natalie Guibis (SI included her in its swimsuit issue a few years back). Lexi Thompson had the blue bikini last week. Last week’s Asian was Michelle Wei. This week’s underboob in the black bikini is Paige Spiranac (also featured in an SI swimsuit issue). This week’s Asian is Chinese pro Muni He. Last week’s #1 was Belen Mezo, a Spanish golf professional. Next week we will have Sandra Gal and Blair O’Neal among others.

I never said they were the best golfers on the LPGA tour, just the hottest. Some/most may not even make the cut. Others may be so unknown that, like Joe Biden, they don’t even remember their own names. Some may primarily play in Europe or Asia. I am surprised you guys would doubt me when it comes to hot chicks.

In a former life with NCR I was involved in helping to operate some hospitality events for customers at major golf tournaments. Once I was on an airport shuttle with four PGA pros. I made it a point to remember their names. None made the cut. The fact they were riding an airport shuttle should have been the first clue.

Ok folks. The curve is about to flatten, or it’s already flattening. Want to know how I know this? Easy…follow the narrative the MSM is feeding the sheeple.

Goes like this. For each country, region, state, city, whatever…there are 2 primary curves. There is the confirmed cases curve and there is the death curve. The confirmed cases curve is pretty close to real time. However people who get the virus and actually die don’t perish right away…it takes a week or so after they become a confirmed case to get to the point where it kills them. Long lag. So when you read daily stories of deaths from the virus, those deaths are from people who came down with it in the past. But while the death curve might be spiking, at the same time the confirmed cases curve might actually be going down. The death curve just has a long lag factor.

So for the MSM. For the last 3 weeks they were harping about the number of new cases being reported each day…and stirring up as much panic as possible. They did discuss deaths, but more from a “telling a sad story about so and so” perspective. When they covered data, it was the most sensational data points they could find, which at that time was how fast the contracted curve was going up…and of course they extrapolated wildly. But I just noticed something…they have now pivoted to the logarithmic growth of the death curve. Not really talking about day-over-day spikes in the contracted numbers. Hold your nose and peek at the headlines on Drudge.

SPAIN SURGE: Death Toll Rises 838 in Worst Day Yet…
    Italy’s toll tops 10,000 despite long lockdown…

Oh, and Drudge slipped this headline in too:
    ‘Confirmed Cases’ Almost Meaningless Metric…

So the media is no longer pointing to the rise in confirmed cases. They are now playing “Don’t look there…look over here” and have shifted their attention to the “dramatic increase in deaths”. Ask yourself why. I can only draw one conclusion…the confirmed cases curve is dropping, thus no longer newsworthy. The MSM has 10 or so days to exploit the death curve to gin up panic. Then it will be all over and they can move onto the next thing to hurt Trump.

BC – I’m still kicking. The virus did hit a senior center nearby. My inlaws are in their mid to late 90’s and they are in local nursing homes. So far it hasn’t hit their facilities, but they are on lockdown and Mrs Boz isn’t even allowed in to visit them. Her mom has dementia, so it’s not as big a deal because she’s not aware that visits aren’t happening. But her dad is 96 and physically declining fast but still mentally sharp. It’s really hard on him because she visited him every day. He knows he’s dying and is afraid he won’t be able to see her before he goes. Tough times.

As I’ve often said here, we love them both and we aren’t wishing them away, but their quality of life is gone. Once they have passed on, we are outta this hell hole of a city like a Roadrunner vapor trail. Either AZ or TX bound at this point. Maybe TN or SC. Definitely want nicer winters and a red state. We are still on the fence as to exactly where though. Suggestions are welcomed 🙂

We are midwesterners, so although the plan is to leave IL as fast as possible, we will have our main home somewhere in the midwest, maybe Indiana, and a 2nd place somewhere warm.

Also, I played Colonial in 2017. I am scheduled to play it again in May, but that may get cancelled. My game was rusty when I played it a few years ago and it kicked my butt.

JR – I don’t think so. First of all, 100k to 200k isn’t all that bad. Just 2 weeks ago the MSM was throwing around 2mm US dead. Yeah, it is a big number, and while any death is certainly devastating to the families (same with suicide, heath attacks, cancer or opioid deaths), in a country of 300 million, it’s an easily absorbable number. Trump is just managing expectations. The real number is south of 100k…I’ve crunched the numbers myself about 10 times and I come up with 50k to 70k and that’s stacked with worst case variables. Underpromise, overdeliver. Trump is no sucker.

As I speculated in #34 above, new cases are indeed dropping.

“Coronavirus cases in the U.S. and worldwide continue to soar. But new Covid-19 cases declined on Sunday in the U.S., Italy, many other European countries and worldwide. All showed significant slowing in the percentage gain in new cases, though America’s is still very high.”

MSM and Fauci are now focused on deaths only, not new cases. But Wall Street isn’t easily fooled…expect stocks to gain amidst the gloom & doom mockingbirds. And when the death curve flattens in about a week, the mortality numbers will be far less than 100k to 200k. That’s when the real rally starts. Doesn’t take balls of steel, just experience in the markets and a long term view. Worst case scenarios are already priced in. Ignore the news, buy on dips.

Ohio is on lockdown so they’re postponing to July. I feel sorry for the airlines, every job is on the line and they’re bleeding money.

75 – We have a Constitution In Name Only.

I don’t think these governors nor Trump understand the level of demand destruction going on with these May-1 and June-1 (VA and others now) dates being thrown down. Or maybe they do and that’s the point to prevent any quick bounce back (not that there would have been anyway imho) and destroy as many lives as possible.

KH, I still have faith that Trump doesn’t WANT a Police-State…but that faith is waning.

Do you know what part of Dayton/suburbs? I lived there for 12 years.

    bc3b, it’s in Troy.
I forget if we ever discussed it, but I lived in Royal Oak north of Detroit for some years before heading to CA. Still have a brother and sister in the general area

Familiar with Troy. When I got out of the AF, I lived in the north Dayton suburbs for a while.

Interesting story about Troy. It is the seat of Miami County. There was a dispute between Troy and Urbana in the early 20th century as to which city should be the county seat. Rather than having a Hamilton-Burr duel, they let the high school football teams decide it. Obviously, Troy won.

Fauci, New England Journal of Medicine, March 26, “Covid-19 — Navigating the Uncharted”:

“If one assumes that the number of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases is several times as high as the number of reported cases, the case fatality rate may be considerably less than 1%. This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza (which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%) or a pandemic influenza (similar to those in 1957 and 1968)…”

In case there is any doubt, those “pandemic influenza seasons” of 1957 and 1968 did NOT result in any lockdowns. People went outdoors. They mingled. They sat in stadiums. They went to their jobs.

SO TURN THE ECONOMY BACK ON NOW. End the insanity.

Unfortunately, no surprise, the major media are still highlighting fear, so it’s up to people to spread this message in any and every way they can: TIME TO GO BACK TO WORK. TURN ON THE ECONOMY.

When the man in charge of an unprecedented global operation says the product he was selling was defective, when he admits the whole basis for it was over-promoted…that is gigantic. Don’t expect Fauci to apologize abjectly and lie down in the street and let a steamroller flatten him. Understand? This is as good as it’ll get. Don’t wait for anything more.

You’re already on your computer. Get out the message. TURN THE ECONOMY BACK ON NOW.

In case you haven’t noticed, major media have been shoving the devastating economic effects of the global lockdowns into the background. They aren’t leading their daily coverage with people’s lives being destroyed. They’re pushing case numbers and new COVID horror stories. This is not an accident. This is conscious policy. Network bosses have sent down the word. Don’t emphasize the economic human wreckage. Instead, it’s: we’ll all get through this, we’re all in this together. Here are seven steps you can take when you’re washing your hands. It’s robot city.

Abbott seals border…it’s official I can’t visit TX (not that I was going too atm).

Only to be quietly rehired somewhere else in a month when everyone has forgotten… but for now she’s fired – but another example of the types leading these organizations. Fired because she got caught in public, not because those firing her actually disagreed with her sentiment I imagine.

“Both Krolczyk and LaTrovato worked for Democratic elected officials before moving into their positions at the medical and research organizations: Krolczyk for Hillary Clinton and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and LaTrovato for Louise Slaughter.”

Oh and why if Krolczyk is fired, is LaTrovato still only on administrative leave?
