Manke is the 77 year old barber that defied the State of Michigan. Opened his shop, stayed open after the C&D had been issued. Stayed open even after they pulled his license.
Manke’s battle goes to show just how artificial the rules of the game are. We license barbers but we don’t require a license for politicians to make sure they know what the limits are to their power? That is crazy. The State demands that civil engineers be certified but cops who as agents of the State can terminate a life are not? That meat products can’t be sold that don’t have the USDuh label on them? Upton Sinclair would be amused.
For Mr. Manke I say — OK BOOMER!

That court decision pretty much kills the lockdown in Mich. The precedent has been set. Any business that challenges a C&D order based on Whitmers EO automatically wins and the AG’s office knows it.
