CNN & Biden Shifting on BLM Riots

2020 August 29
by bc3b

After weeks of sanitizing (many would say encouraging) BLM riots, looting and destruction, it now appears that CNN and the Biden/Harris ticket are now ready to begin condemning violent protests. In fact, it’s rumored that Biden will briefly leave his basement bunker on Monday to speak out against violent protests and attempt to blame President Trump.

After weeks of cheerleading protesters regardless of whether the protests were peaceful or rioters were burning down cities,  Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon suggested taking a harder stance against violent protests. The reason: polling and focus groups are shifting from supporting Black Lives Matter. Lemon actually admitted that the violent protests might be the difference that gets Donald  Trump a second term.

CNN "Fiery But Mostly Peaceful Protests" Parodies | Know Your Meme

Both CNN and MSNBC have had reporters talk about “mostly peaceful protests” while standing in front of burning buildings.

It was suspected there was a reason the former backers of the protest violence began a new narrative.

It has been a banner week over at the Comedy News Network. CNN has had a tough time with the paradox on how to report on a new batch of riots breaking out, this time in Wisconsin. After months of coverage vacillating between tacit approval and enthusiastic backing, this week saw something approaching schizophrenia. As things initially erupted the network went with its prior stance, that of massaging the messaging about the violence. It became so blatant that this built-in mockery led to this graphic becoming a meme on social media.

But then at almost the same time CNN’s primetime hosts Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo suddenly were taking the stance that the riots are something to be rebuked by the Democrats. Not only did Lemon make the astounding declaration that black communities actually wanted to see an increased police presence, he stated the violence was all of a sudden a negative entity.

I think this is a blind spot for Democrats. I think Democrats are ignoring this problem or hoping that it will go away, and it’s not going to go away,” Lemon said. The sound of jaws falling open was heard in many areas following that announcement. Don then let slip what was motivating his turnabout on the issue — ”It’s showing up in the polling. It’s showing up in focus groups.’’

In the second week of August one poll by Rasmussen showed the preference likely voters held to have police quell the violent outbreaks being seen. Half called for the ending, while 38% supported the protestors. This is a two-pronged assault on the messaging from the left. People are opposed to the rioting, and they are lending support to the police, calling for them to take action against violence. Then more stark numbers arrived that bolstered this reaction.

Another poll, this one by Marquette Law School, conducted in Wisconsin, showed the downward shift in public support for the Black Lives Matter movement. In June the 4-day average saw strong support for the protests, with a 61%-34% approval over disapproval rate. Two months later that support eroded, as it fell to parity at 48%-48%. These are enough to turn heads at party headquarters, but what had to really shock Don Lemon and the DNC was the poll was conducted just days before the controversial police shooting that sparked the latest riots in Kenosha.

Unfortunately, when the rioting started in Minneapolis, followed by Seattle and Portland, mayors instructed the police to stand down. Rioters were shown they could act with impunity with no consequences.

I hadn’t seen this info before. The Kenosha shooter Kyle was living/working in WI.
I had already seen before that the gun did not cross state lines.
… strangely and uncharacteristically, the New York Times has given an indication, through study of the videos and a timeline, that self-defense was really what was going on that night in Kenosha. That’s how clear it must be.

Now we have a statement by Rittenhouse’s lawyers, and quite a statement it is.

After Kyle finished his work that day as a community lifeguard in Kenosha, he wanted to help clean up some of the damage, so he and a friend went to the local public high school to remove graffiti by rioters. Later in the day, they received information about a call for help from a local business owner, whose downtown Kenosha auto dealership was largely destroyed by mob violence. The business owner needed help to protect what he had left of his life’s work, including two nearby mechanic’s shops. Kyle and a friend armed themselves with rifles due to the deadly violence gripping Kenosha and many other American cities, and headed to the business premises. The weapons were in Wisconsin and never crossed state lines.

That is new information: that Rittenhouse worked in Kenosha, the request from the business owner, and the fact that the weapon didn’t cross state lines.

Don’t know the source of this rant, but….

Good against evil, and I’m for good.

“To answer all of those of you who would say “I can’t believe you would vote for Trump.” Well folks listen up! I’m not just voting for him. I’m voting for the second Amendment. I’m voting for the next supreme court justice. I’m voting for the electoral college, and the Republic we live in. I’m voting for the Police, and law and order. I’m voting for the military, and the veterans who fought for and died for this Country. I’m voting for the Flag that is always missing from the Democratic background. I’m voting for the right to speak my opinion and not be censored. I’m voting for secure borders. I’m voting for the right to praise my God without fear. I’m voting for every unborn soul the Democrats want to murder. I’m voting for freedom and the American Dream. I’m voting for good and against evil. I’m not just voting for one person, I’m voting for the future of my Country! What are you voting for? “

Bc, I don’t know the explanation other than blaming the same cultural crap common across the country. Teenagers, especially black teenagers, have no regard for humankind. They have lost all respect for life and think nothing of killing.

I have been through that particular highway interchange hundreds of times going from Beaufort to Winston-Salem. That Bo’ jangles is a regular stop albeit usually early morning. Now I’m more inclined to pack a Kind bar and pee in a bottle rather than stop.

I fear a civil war in the coming months, perhaps a race war, although there are plenty of white idiots mixed in the BLM movement. Mostly losers, already with serious felony violations. I don’t know what to think. Too old to be worried about myself. I fear for my children and grandchildren in this mad max world.

    Trump rally in Portland OR.
Long, but you can watch 2 min to get a sense of it. And give it an upvote.
Not so many people (I don’t blame them), I think the San Jose CA rally I went to last week was larger.

Confessions of a voter fraud: I was a master at fixing mail-in ballots

“A top Democratic operative says voter fraud, especially with mail-in ballots, is no myth. And he knows this because he’s been doing it, on a grand scale, for decades…”

    No shit.

“The whisteblower — whose identity, rap sheet and long history working as a consultant to various campaigns were confirmed by The Post — says he not only changed ballots himself over the years, but led teams of fraudsters and mentored at least 20 operatives in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania — a critical 2020 swing state.”

    Just one operative of thousands.

““This is a real thing,” he said. “And there is going to be a f–king war coming November 3rd over this stuff … If they knew how the sausage was made, they could fix it.”

Teams must choose between players and fans. Players will be gone in five years. If you don’t p!ss off fans, they will be around for generations.

We all know Brad Plitt is an @$$hole, but you aren’t subjected to a political haurang if you go to see one of his movies. Professional athletes are cramming their views down fans throats.

It’s especially stupid with hockey and baseball, where the fan base is comprised of working class Americans, who make sacrifices to pay players’ multi-million dollar salaries.

Let me go out on a limb and say — “It ain’t gonna work Dims.” The shift about the riots I mean. Those who mount the tiger rarely can dismount without being eaten by said tiger:

    * Americans as a lot have this simple formula for living. Leave me alone to do my thing so long as I don’t mess with someone else. Let me build a present where my kids have a better future than I did. Have enough wherewithal to hold some funds for a rainy day.

    * Perception is reality. Some reporter standing in front of a backdrop of a burning building is the reality. The perception that there is a mismatch from what the event is showing vs what was on the crawler can’t be unseen. Worse yet when 90% of the population knows that the press are outright liars. Its confirmation bias yet again that the press is a propaganda arm of the DNC.

Burning down cities do not fit the formula above. By the Dims not denouncing immediately what happened in Minneapolis they became complicit by omission. That is why center left Dims are leaving the party in droves –

Also a caution. We should not applaud the destruction of the DNC till there is a viable replacement. One party domination leads to sloppy thinking and fraud. Reform of the DNC is probably not possible, but we do need an opposition entity to keep who is in power on their toes.

Hockey is not my thing so no comment. At least with MLB it is becoming less so. Ticket prices are getting kinda pricey. With the Rangers a night out can cost $250 minimum for a family of 4 and this is for sitting in the nose bleed section. That is one fourth of a weeks paycheck. The only people these days buying season tickets are upper middle class and higher.

drdog, the Dems ARE trying to foment as much violence as they can, and some may actually feel they can win a “Civil War”…they can’t.

But they also hope to force retaliation by normal Americans before November, and then garner votes that way. I don’t think that works either.

Look at the Rand Paul assault video. At one point a thug pushes a D.C. cop enough to force him backwards, as the officer rights himself and starts to come forward the thug raises up a cell phone in the hope the officer will react (let alone overreact). The thugs are doing this thousands of times each day…sooner or later they will get their overreaction.

Below is a comment seen on twitter in support of BLM/Antifa in Portland:

When you can no longer trust the government or law enforcement to protect your life, you have to be able to protect yourself. Keep your friends close, and don’t let trump’s militia get behind you.

Un-fricking-believable the delusion these people live under. These are the people demanding the dismantling of government and law enforcement.

““There’s a lack of community. There’s the amount of time that we spend in front of screens and not in front of other people. If you don’t have a community to reach out to, then your hopelessness doesn’t have any place to go.””

It’s also the content of that stuff on those screens.

Quite honestly, ‘community’ died when the front porch was essentially eliminated from most house designs, circa 1950’s onward with Levittown like suburbia. A portable, mobile society has little time like that anymore. The communities that do exist are communities of interests, not communities of locale.

Goes even deeper. Even if the Dims tried to backpedal on the violence they are trapped on that tiger. BLM is not their bitch, Soros owns them. So they F’d themselves thinking they could cook it without getting burnt.

Like Minneapolis, Seattle and Portland were among the country’s cleanest, safest large US cities. Leftist mayors and city councils changed that.

So the question arises…. Is the DNC preparing to elevate Kameltoe Harris to the POTUS candidate slot? Are they that stupid or that desperate? Her negatives are so high Trump ought to make her part of the border wall. And Bernie as VP? What a ticket!
