    Eph –

Many of your favorites, from this and past seasons.

From the look of the second Miss LSU’s tee-shirt, it appears she recently returned from a vacation in Kentucky.

    Authorities being authoritarian.

    Rumor (so far).
I wanted to give you advanced warning, based on reliable sources, County officials may be making an announcement as early as Monday or Tuesday, that Santa Clara County will be required to “Shelter in Place.” This order will be akin to that of the Shelter in Place order issued this past March, which means, only “essential” businesses would be allowed to be open. This means our restaurants would have to go back to pick up and deliver only, no outdoor dining. Non-essential retail would also be closed.
The Los Gatos Restaurant and Wine Group (LGRWG) is considering other options as they may choose to defy the order and remain open.
if you have restaurateurs who don’t feel they can go back to a SIP Order and would like to know more about the LGRWG’s plan, you can contact Catherine Somers at catherine@losgatoschamber and she will add you to LGRWG’s distribution list where you will receive updates on their plan.

Fact (I hope they don’t get their claws on me, based on the linked report’s statement of ventilator use. Everything I’ve read says vents make the disease worse by blowing the virus all around your lungs and provoking an immune reaction).
“As of noon Nov. 27, the county had issued 76 fines to local businesses. The primary violations were failing to submit and post revised rules about social distancing.
A county spokesperson said businesses will have 30 days to pay a fine and business compliance officers will never ask for money upfront. Officers will have on yellow vests and produce identification.”

    Jim,

I don’t see how restaurants can survive under those type of restrictions. Here in TX to meet the distance restrictions most eateries end up at 50% seating capacity. Can’t make rent at those rates let alone turn a profit.

I think we are going to find that the Dims cheated on a scale unheard of. Whether there were foreign actors in the mix is yet to be determined. Regardless we end up with Biden sitting in the WH. I say that only because there is insufficient time. So the nation sits here with a poseur knowing full well he was not the victor.

    Comments gentlemen?

This is nothing new. I first became aware of it with the 2004 Washington governor’s race, when the Democrats kept finding ballots after a Republican had been declared the winner. We’re all familiar with Norm Coleman losing to Al Franken and other cases where, as Rand Paul points out, incredibly large votes were cast for Democrats between 1 AM and 6 AM. In 2016 39% of Detroit precincts reported more votes than ballots were cast.

Just as CNN no longer cares if people believe them, Democrats don’t care if people believe they steal elections.

Until some people start facing serious prison time, Democrats will continue to steal elections.

12 – Yeah with tons of registrations in King county to homeless shelters, 20-50 residents in some single family addresses…basically all the shit that is now typical and standard, and even worse with full VBM there now. I remember that too… at least that’s what I remember about that race. That and the videos of people getting paid cartons of smokes to go vote in WI – now it’s giftcards to native americans in NM. lol SMH.

4 – I’m a resident of San Mateo County, but I work in Santa Clara County I suppose this will have an impact on the start-up I work for. We’ll see as we were a bit “flexible” with the previous lock-down so we could continue to stay in business. The people I work with are generally left-of-Bernie, but even they are slowly starting to wake-up to the authoritarian rule from Sacramento. Even though, it’s fascinating is how they never seem to connect their own voting habits with the results they see.

I don’t see that happening in California, but it would make me happy if it did. Not only will the state not allow such behavior, but they will also be looking to make examples of the first businesses that step out of line. We’ll see how Tesla handles it as Elon Musk is not a fan of how California is handling Covid and he has the media presence and clout to call BS to who charade.

The other thing a business must worry about is private lawsuits. If an employee or patron comes down with Covid, regardless of the source, the business will probably be sued out of existence if they were bold enough to defy the county lockdown.

mpt, it depends on the County. Businesses in Butte & Yuba have defied multiple orders…we’ll see how this one goes.

for example, my wife and I were sitting IN a restaurant in Butte County a month ago when indoor dining in our County was still VERBOTTEN. But many restaurants (including this one, of course) had decided they had had enough. A pair of Oroville police officers walked in, got a round of applause (we love our cops here), and proceeded to sit down and have breakfast. Same time frame in Chico our friends were eating INDOORS at a very big restaurant and the Sheriff of our our county walked in with 8 or so of his Deputies…for a celebration lunch (the big fires were finally out)…a HUGE standing ovation for them. They then proceeded to sit down shoulder-to-shoulder for their lunch.

    Depends on the county.

    Why won’t Governor @BrianKempGA
, the hapless Governor of Georgia, use his emergency powers, which can be easily done, to overrule his obstinate Secretary of State, and do a match of signatures on envelopes. It will be a “goldmine” of fraud, and we will easily WIN the state…….Also, quickly check the number of envelopes versus the number of ballots. You may just find that there are many more ballots than there are envelopes. So simple, and so easy to do. Georgia Republicans are angry, all Republicans are angry. Get it done!

Neil Cavuto drew 2.192 million viewers in August. By November he was attracting only 1.3 million.

The Five also suffered a big loss, going from 3.772 million in August to 2.883 million in November–minus 889,000 viewers.

Bret Baier suffered a significant decline of 1,139,000 –3.256 million in August to 2.117 million in November.

Martha MacCallum fared worse—she shed 50% of her audience, collapsing from 3.201 million to 1.613 million.

Tucker Carlson also has taken a big hit–dropping from 5.719 million in August to 3.444 million in November. That is a drop of 2.275 million.

Sean Hannity’s shining star is flaming out. His viewership plummeted from 6.838 million to 2.839 million. That means almost 4 million people fled his show.

And Laura Ingraham bled out–she dropped from 4.82 million to 2.114. She lost 2.706 viewers.

    Why Hannity so bad?

That makes no sense. Hes a big Giuliani guy.

Listening to Hannity is a real chore. Like Ingraham, Hannity keeps interrupting his guests. Unlike Ingraham, Hannity keeps repeating himself. Many are also tired of hearing his “rags to riches” saga, how he was born into a working class family and supported himself as a laborer while working his way up to stardom. He is painful to listen to and likely had many viewers because they weren’t aware of conservative alternatives.

Chris Wallace’s debate moderation and Faux election night coverage lifted the scales from the eyes of all but the most naive viewers. People are finally starting to realize that if you are watching Carlson, Hannity and Ingraham, you are subsidizing the salaries of Wallace, Cavuto, Baier, Perino, Brazile, Williams and others.

I won’t be happy until Cavuto’s ratings are next to zero. A fat, boring guy who talks like he has marbles in his mouth should be thankful he is on TV.
