Once You Go Black (or Woke) ….

2021 April 12
by bc3b

You can NEVER go back.

That’s a lesson Major League Baseball (MLB) should have learned, but didn’t.

In 2020, MLB decided to go fast forward woke in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. The BLM logo was stenciled behind the pitcher’s mound in early 2020 games and many most teams had events honoring BLM at opening day games.

Tony Clark, the head of the Major League Baseball Players Association – which handles player negotiations – is a militant black former baseball player. In addition, in 2020 MLB recognized the formation of Major League Players Alliance (an all-black group of players and former players). This gives blacks an unusual amount of control over MLB, especially in comparison to its percentage of players. Most recent statistics show that (unlike the NFL and NBA) the percentage of US black MLB players is only 7.7% with Latinos representing 34.6% and whites 57.5%. When commissioner Rob Manfred sought advice on moving the All-Star Game from Atlanta, virtually everyone he spoke to had three things in common: 1) they were black; 2) they were Democrats and 3) they were militant leftists – Stacey (Miss Voter Fraud) Abrams, LeBron James (who needed tutors to make it through high school), Tony Clark and only God knows whom else.

As always, fans were given no input or consideration.

The MLB is donating $10-million to the Player’s Alliance to increase black participation in MLB. By that token, shouldn’t the NBA and NFL be donating millions to increase non-black participation in their respective sports? No, it’s not a two-way street.

It’s kind of amusing that blacks have so much control over MLB at a time when they have so little impact on the game. Today, there are very few blacks on a par with stars of the past – Ernie Banks, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Ken Griffey, Jr. or Joe Morgan. In fact, it’s relatively difficult to think of black superstars in 2021.

Rob Manfred opened a lot of peoples’ eyes by moving the All-Star Game:

  • MLB supports Democrats and hates Republicans
  • MLB couldn’t care less about its fans
  • MLB supports voter fraud and dividing Americans
  • MLB views whites as second class

MLB is plagued by problems: 8 straight years of declining attendance through 2019; 2019 attendance was 14% below 2007; teams are divided between haves and have nots. The chances of a World Series team being from outside Los Angeles, New York and Houston are fairly remote. Manfred just threw ten gallons of gasoline on a dumpster fire that’s been burning for 10+ years.

See the source image

You’d be hard pressed to find a American-born black player the caliber of Ernie Banks today.

I am proud to say that I have not watched a minute of baseball in 2021. I haven’t looked at a box score or standings. I have no idea where my former favorite teams (the Cubs and the Tigers) stand. The Tigers probably suck, but Fulton Sheen needs his third miracle for sainthood.

As I said, it’s amazing how much control blacks have over MLB in 2021 when their on the field contribution is the lowest in 60+ years.

bc3b – I started giving up on baseball in the mid to late 70’s due to Free Agency. After the 1981 Strike I was done. Have not looked back, and wont.

Basketball, Football & NASCAR (and almost any other major sport) has been done for me for some time. Don’t care and wont look back.

College football is fast approaching (if not there) the point I don’t care (and I am an Ohio State grad and was a fan from my youth). Spend most of my saturday’s working in my yard or taking long drive’s with the wife over the Ohio countryside.

Sports can die, they serve no real purpose.

So apparently total fucking incompetence some how makes it better? (maybe legally, but it actually makes it look even worse imho… )

7 – If my co-workers were making errors like the above I would too. Not sure how much I care anymore either way, less po-po, less people to investigate, and in theory the ones that remain and are hired less competent, so perhaps easier to out maneuver in court if I have to take care of a situation myself.

To the op… I already knew I could not go back prior to this latest insanity.

I tend to think 3rd degree murder charges are used too often when no one really benefits. I would say best to have city pay wrongful death and pay a wrongful death payment and obviously fire the officer and call it a day.

I knew a surgeon that had been awake for 48 hours working when he went home to finally sleep. He picked up his daughter, ran some errands , and finally went home but there was an emergency trauma and he was only one who could be called in to deal w it so he returned. He was in operating room for 4 or 5 hours until finally he saves the guys life but when he went to the car, his 2 year old daughter was dead on the car seat in the heat.

The question is should be be charged w 3rd degree murder. Police chose not to charge him, but I read a story of a baseball player who did something similar when his kid died in the car, and he was charged. Granted he probably had more sleep, but it was still obviously an accident.

Which brings me mostly to the conclusion that 3rd degree murder is overused, and usually no one benefits and you’re usually punishing people for something unintended even though it probably was there fault.

11 – Riot Season – Otherwise known as spring, summer and fall in areas where temps get < 30 in winter. Who's keeping track of the various "teams" stats? Also should each side's team be considered per "general town\city" or per zipcode? Need to decide what stats need to be tracked (a ton), and given jack-shit level reporting what constitutes valid data (outside of I guess body counts that are harder to hide or minpulate, like for damage do we do ins co estimates or property owner estimates, how do we track "loot" for MVL - most valuable looters,etc,etc,etc..) 🙂

    17 –

“Before leaving the podium, Elliott (The Mayor) noted that Boganey, as city manager, had the authority to determine whether the officer would be fired. Boganey noted that he would not take immediate action to remove the officer.”

“The Brooklyn Center City Council voted to fire Boganey, a longtime city employee, during an emergency meeting, the Star Tribune reported. At the same meeting, the council voted to give the mayor command authority over the city’s police department.”

So the mayor pushed the mob toward the city manager…who makes a stupid decision, compounding that stupidity by to immediately commenting that there are no plans to terminate the officer, and then the city counsel has to fire him to either to try to save his life and push the issue back on the mayor, or because they think it’s shit decision. I mean actually… kinda smart politically of the counsel members, not only protected themselves but pushed the issue off to the mayor, whom I assume they can’t fire. lol niiicely played.

So now it’s on the mayor to fire her in the next day or two or face the same wrath of the citizens.

By the way, I do think the cop should be immediately fired for being incompetent if she fired a gun thinking it was a tazor. A similar situation happened in 2009 with a BART cop in Oakland here in the Bay Area. The cop was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

Greenwald calling out more mediapoli complex stupidity and leftist hypocrisy over the years. mini piece + longer videocast with wider discussion which is kinda hilarious, especially when he pulls out the Harris card.

I suspect privately he wishes there was evidence to back all or some of these allegation up so he could trash Gaetz for law breaking – BUT there isn’t any, so the responsible journalistic thing is not to rush in without evidence, which he points out. BTW my suspicions are based on the fact he doesn’t say a single fucking word about the blackmail plot to which there is some evidence in the public domain, so really he’s just uses Gaetz issue as a segue into what he really wants to discuss calling out the left’s hypocrisy when it comes to issues surrounding sex and drug use.

It’s why he’s one of the few I still have at least some respect for despite his ideological leanings (left as hell usually), while he’s got his opinions and bias’s that I don’t always share he’s at least been remarkably consistent over years and will call a WTFO on his own who are inconsistent as fuck.

ToLongDidntWatch: “Hey fellow leftists, there is zero evidence here and has been flatly denied how about you slow your fucking roll, but for minute lets say even if there is some and he was nailing people with-in the general law. I thought, and years ago we were saying this is all ok, my body my choice and all that … or is that only when it’s Harris, or other countless examples of not making a fuss when someone has a D after their name?”

FDA and CDC call for ‘pause’ on Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine after blood clot reports

Ooof, I just got the J&J jab yesterday. My arm hurt overnight, but so far no clots (I hope).

To me, I just want this Covid crap over. If me getting a vaccine will help, so be it. It’s a numbers game and the vast majority of people who get the vaccines will almost certainly not suffer any major side effects. However, anytime you are taking something that elicits an immune response, a small percentage of people will suffer major problems. It’s impossible to avoid when you are dealing with 10’s millions of people and something as complex as the human immune system.

I read the other day, thousands of people contracted polio from the more primitive vaccines introduced in the mid-20th century, but the end result is that polio is no longer the scourge it once was. Was it worth it? I guess it depends on which end of the stick you got. If you benefit, great. If you were accidentally given polio, it sucks.
