Every Day Is Saturday in Chicago

… or so it seems.

According to to the calendar, yesterday was Tuesday, but it seemed like Saturday as eight people  were shot to death in the Windy City.

Twenty-seven people were hit by gunfire in Chicago Tuesday, one of the most violent days of the year with 8 shot in a house in Englewood and 5 wounded on the street in West Garfield Park.

This compares to 43 shot/3 dead over the past weekend.

A total of eight people were killed, the most homicides in a single day this year, according to Sun-Times data.

The day also saw the city’s third mass shooting in little more than a week. Around 5:40 a.m., four people were shot and killed and four others were seriously wounded when an argument apparently broke out inside a home in the 6200 block of South Morgan Street, according to Chicago police.

Four people were pronounced dead at the scene, three women and a man who lived there. The four others were taken to hospitals, at least two of them in critical condition. A 2-year-old girl was taken from the home and brought to Comer Children’s Hospital for observation, but did not appear injured, police said.

Tuesday night, five people were wounded in West Garfield Park. The group was outside in the 3800 block of West Monroe Street when they were shot, possibly by more than one gunman, about 9:20 p.m., according to police.

A 29-year-old woman was struck in the back, a 39-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and leg, and a 40-year-old man was struck in the shoulder. They were all taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where they are all in good condition. A 38-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were both shot in the legs and taken to Stroger Hospital, where the older man is in critical condition and the younger man is in good condition.

As if on cue, Mayor Beetlejuice decried gun violence and the ease of (illegally) obtaining guns. She didn’t address black gangs who are usually responsible for murders in Chicago these days. Madame Mayor, if guns are the problem, why don’t suburbs like Naperville and Des Plaines have  mass shootings on weekends and Tuesdays in June?

The boogey men the left has created is white supremacy, systemic racism and cops killing innocent blacks, but it’s doubtful that any of yesterday’s shooters were members of the Klan or the Chicago Police Department.

Americans are constantly being bombarded with charges of being white supremacists and are blamed for all the problems blacks face in 2021. The left is pushing to have Critical Race Theory in all public schools across the US and trying to incorporate the lies in Project 1619. But until black Americans start taking responsibility for reducing the 77% illegitimacy rate, keeping blacks in school and reducing the disproportionate amount of violent crime committed by young black males, nothing will change.

Manchin urged big-money donors with No Labels to bribe Sen. Roy Blunt and other GOP senators with flipping their votes on the commission in order to “save the filibuster.”

Raoul is shifting around lately. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Comment seen: “So today we have Putin and the Daily Mail accusing the US government of political repression and assassination, and yet only five senators were willing to sign a memo simply asking the DoJ to justify unequal treatment. Not one judge, btw, has pushed back on these scumbags to protect the rights of real-life political prisoners – American patriots! – languishing in a DC prison without bail, trials not even scheduled, evidence withheld from defense attorneys. Surreal.”

An excellent post on Trump’s upcoming tour of the border. Several excellent comments too.
Although I have to say WBF comes to mind too …
    https://www.thenewneo.com/2021/06/16/visiting-the-southern-border/
“Biden and Harris won’t even tour the scenes of the wreckage they created, or come down and visit with the Border Patrol and ICE heroes risking their lives to defend our Nation at a time when the White House is doing everything it can to make their job totally impossible,” Trump said, before describing their actions as “a grave and willful dereliction of duty.”

    Sample comment:
Trump’s continued political presence is a tough case.
On the one hand, as long as he’s around it means a bunch of vile and evil garbage can’t just be shoved up the carpet so we can all “move on.”
On the other hand, there are millions of people who would rather slit their neighbor’s throat than admit they were wrong about Trump or anything Trump-related.
