If only…

If the Leftists were ONLY just…

If they were ONLY just…Ignorant. There is nothing wrong with being ignorant, as long as you KNOW you are ignorant. I, for example, am ignorant of the mechanisms, science, and procedures involved in operating a nuclear power plant, thus I would not presume to try and run one, nor tell someone ELSE how to do so. Leftists are ignorant of damn near EVERY aspect of actually operating, well, ANYTHING. Yet they are hell bent on telling everyone how to run everything!

If they were ONLY just…Unhappy. They wallow in their unhappiness, and constantly seek out new sources for their unhappiness. If they left it there I could ignore them. But they insist on making everyone ELSE as unhappy (or unhappier) than they are. If you are just trying to go through your life and find happiness where you can, then THAT makes them even more unhappy! And thus they seek to intrude on and control EVERY aspect of our lives.

If they were ONLY just…Lazy. Don’t confuse the energy displayed in their “peaceful protests” as being useful energy. It is in itself a form of laziness, since the desired outcome is for all of US to give THEM more stuff…and thus excuse them from fending or providing for themselves.

If they were ONLY just…Mean. If there is ANYTHING meaner than a “loving Leftist” I have never found it. And since everything they do is for “the greater good”, any pain (including death) they cause in that pursuit is by their definition NOT mean…but “peaceful” and “loving”.

If they were ONLY just…Intolerant. Their intolerance is always on display, thus they deflect any criticism by claiming it is everyone ELSE who is intolerant. They cloak themselves in their “virtue”, and label everyone who doesn’t bow to their Leftists gods one or more horrible things. And if you are trying to go through life judging everyone as Dr. King dreamed of (hint: “on the content of their character”), and NOT using skin color to predetermine how you treat them, then YOU are the bigot!

But they aren’t just one of these things, they are ALL of them, and they are “GOOD” at all of them.

Trying to reason with them is increasingly a futile endeavor. You’re wrestling with a pig, and the pig ENJOYS it! They are indeed hell bent on controlling you, enslaving you, or eliminating you. Prepare to defend yourselves, for the road they have us on can only end in actual conflict. Hell, the conflict has already begun!

Referring to fight on’s post on the previous thread (media trust):

    1. The US ranks last among 43 countries surveyed (29%)
    2. Gallup conducts a Media Trust Survey annually. A majority of Americans have not trusted the media since 2005, according to Gallup
    3. Both this survey and Gallup show that media is far more trusted and consumed by Democrats than Republicans, which is only natural. Why would conservatives or Republicans watch CNN or subscribe to the NY Times knowing coverage will always be slanted against them?
    4. It would be interesting to see if media coverage in other countries is as biased and slanted as it is in the US. When Pew or others that study the US media during a presidential election, they find that 80%+ of Democratic coverage is favorable, while usually less than 10% of Republican coverage is favorable.

Something to watch – Greg Gutfeld’s monologue from last night destroying Don Lemon and CNN:

This will be the biggest laugh you get all week.

Lemon claims he doesn’t do “opinion,” but “point of view.” What is the world is the difference between someone’s opinion and point of view? The first synonym for “opinion” in Microsoft Office is “view.”

And so we’ve arrived at that long-awaited monetary policy endpoint where it becomes clear that the government will never be able to tighten monetary or fiscal policy. Never ever. The plane is now officially on autopilot, heading straight for an inflationary mountain with no ability to steer over or around it.”

DrD, re miami beach building last thread, saw this late today:

“The Champlain Towers South in Surfside, near Miami Beach, had been reportedly sinking at a rate of two millimeters a year since the 90s, and inspectors visited the doomed building as recently as Wednesday, according to local media.”

Idk if that’s a lot for M-D area or not, I do know some in San Fran sink faster than that (or did before remediation work), but most huge ones in that area are built with that possibility\forethought in mind along with counter measures (some more effective than others), though this ain’t remotely my area of expertise.

22- I’d say Wolverines! But it would be the wrong animal. 😉

  24. 2021 June 25 2:54 am

Prior building next to it of similar ‘ish design, recently torn down and rebuilt (like real recent -just re opened it seems this year or last)

“Norma Arbide, who has lived in the North tower since 1987, told the Herald the construction next door caused tenants to complain about shaking in their building last year. “The tenants in South were complaining a lot because their building was shaking and vibrating when they were digging and blasting at the construction site,” Arbide said. …the Champlain structure was “shaking” and there were “cracks” in the building as a result.”

Rose and Salzhauer said residents at Champlain also had concerns about water leaking from a second-floor pool deck into the parking garage below.

I’m sure that didn’t help whatever else was going on.

All depends on location I guess. Pretty much all of the Miami-Dade area and a bit northward sits on coral substrata. The carbonate that the coral consists of can vary _alot_, stone hard in some area, crumbly in others. Up toward Jacksonville the San Marcos fort is made of coral/shell. Legend is when the English fleet bombarded the fort the shells would just sink into the wall like hitting ballistic jel.

I can believe the sinking observation. I know of several condos on the west coast fla that within a short period of time had to be demolished due to sinkholes.

60, yes, when I was out of state, perhaps 5% of people wore masks. Back in Silly Valley, many locations I’ve been to are 90%. At the Cupertino library, they have a police officer at the entrance requiring a mask “to protect the small children”.
Which … small children have nearly a zero chance of severe Covid.

But I’ve read that frightened people are using the Delta variant as their excuse for continued use of masks. I haven’t read that masks help with the Delta variant. Some of these people have climbed really, really far out on the limb and are having trouble coming back to sanity.

Proposed ordinance calls for data collection on city employees’ sexual orientation to ensure LGBTQ hiring
San Francisco Supervisor Rafael Mandelman and Mayor London Breed introduced legislation Tuesday that would allow the city to start collecting voluntary and anonymous information on city employees’ sexual orientation.

According to the city leaders, the ordinance will direct the city’s Human Resources Department to begin collecting the data, helping ensure visibility and representation for the LGBTQ community among the city’s workforce, which is 37,000 employees strong.

“As we celebrate Pride month in San Francisco, it’s important that we step back and ensure that we’re doing everything we can to live up to our values, and that includes hiring and retaining a diverse workforce that reflects our community,” Breed said in a statement.

In order for the data collection to be possible, the ordinance calls for the repeal of the city’s Administrative Code 12E, which prohibits the city from inquiring into employees’ sexual orientation, habits and practices. The code was enacted in 1985, as a deterrent against discrimination of city employees and applicants at the height of the HIV-AIDS epidemic.

    No_Pretzel_Logic: 1 hour ago (Edited)

That collapse may have happened organically, sure.

But, I do find it quite convenient that there will now be ongoing, scary media coverage about alot of older condo towers in FL – a state with a formidable and popular Governor who is likely running for POTUS in 2024.

Couple that with the fact that outfits like Blackrock have been on a residential buying spree for many years AND the curious burning of unrelated buildings in the riot cities of Summer 2020. People researched and found that most of those were in foreclosure, in tax arrears, etc. and they then got scooped at cheapo prices at burning.

Many evil forces are at work in the USSA and this situation could be one. We’ll see how legit the inspections turn out to be as a possible clue.

    74, LOL.

Meanwhile, even in CA where presumably Dems have no worries there are plenty of shenanigans.

Nonpartisan watchdog seeks answers on over 2 million documented registration and voting anomalies.
Why are there almost 124,000 more votes counted in California’s November 3, 2020 election than voters recorded as voting in that election? And why is most of the discrepancy driven by 116,000 vote-by-mail ballots with no apparent voter identified in VoteCal’s voting histories?
Why do more than 7,700 voters have TWO November 3, 2020 votes credited to their voting histories? These are two votes credited to each of 7,700 unique (non-duplicated) registration ID numbers in the state database.
Why does California have 1.8 million more registered voters than eligible citizens and why did this overage rise 72% in the 2020 election cycle?
Why did California’s on-line and DMV registration systems change 33,000 foreign-born voters’ birthplaces of record to “California” or “United States”, potentially masking non-citizens unlawfully registered to vote? Similarly, why were 76,000 birthplaces changed from another U.S. state to California?

WHY does he keep telling the snake story?
So annoying every time he’s done it since the ~midterms, it’s like hello…. self-awareness you’re the old lady in the story now, having invited various known snakes into your administration, and not dumping as quickly or at all those that were unknown but became known in short order. This isn’t as lost on the masses as he may think, it’s not like I’m the first to bring this up since 2017.

“SACRAMENTO, Calif. – California will soon pay the health care bills for low-income people 50 and older who are living in the country illegally, part of an expansion of Medicaid that aims to inch the nation’s most populous state toward Democrats’ goal of making sure everyone has health insurance.

The new coverage will eventually cost taxpayers about $1.3 billion per year, money that’s part of the new state operating budget that Gov. Gavin Newsom and state legislative leaders unveiled Friday night. The budget is scheduled for a vote in the state Legislature on Monday, with Newsom likely signing it into law before the state’s fiscal year begins Thursday.”

85, “California will soon pay the health care bills for low-income people 50 and older who are living in the country illegally”

It’s fascinating to watch the competing narratives.
    A few years ago
    1) CA is in a drought. Must take emergency measures! Stop taking showers, washing cars, growing food, …
    2) Don’t even consider deporting illegals to reduce water usage. We need those illegals here. Taking showers, washing cars, growing food, …

    Fast forward to today.
    1) Global warming is real! No single family homes anymore, all electric no natural gas, people create carbon
    2) Offer free food, universal basic income, free healthcare to anyone who successfully sneaks in to the state

Expletive filled discussion of NC State COVID infection.

Aside from vaxxed athletes getting infected, note the topic of index cases. I haven’t read about this before but if a group is infected apparently you can determine which was the original infectee who got the rest sick.

“Of course nobody sequenced all six of these people to figure out whether one of them was the index. It would be wildly embarrassing to find out that one of the vaccinated players was in fact the index, so that will not be looked at, deliberately, because to find and report that would instantly destroy any and all argument of alleged “community protection” from said shots.

Thus it was not done this time and won’t be done now or in the future either.

Note that exactly nowhere has that been done for alleged “breakthrough” clusters. And don’t run this bull**** how you “can’t” either; in early 2020 at a German meatpacking plant they did exactly that and proved that masks were worthless in that they were able to identify the index case and all the daughter cases, proving conclusively that the spread happened in the plant where everyone was wearing masks mandated by the government and employers at the time.

I reported on this in the early summer of 2020 when that scientific paper issued; it proved conclusively that masks were worthless in controlling infection from an infected person to others, and further that the so-called “6 foot” rule was stupid and worthless as well since the secondary daughter cases occurred well beyond that point and in fact were in persons working in an area spanning more than a dozen meters from the index case.”

This video is great. It shows a black woman and others who are upset because a Los Angeles day spa allowed a man to utilize whichever locker room they are most comfortable using. Clearly, this woman is getting a valuable lesson on where she ranks on the intersectional chart. +1 for being a woman, +1 for being black, but -3 for being a heterosexual. Sorry honey, the tranny outranks you.

I had to laugh when the beta male argues with her that she is being bigoted against transexuals and she questions his manhood.

Finally, I have the feeling these women supported these policies at the voting booth, but were oblivious to the fact they would ever have to suffer the consequences of their votes.

From reading the article, it’s funny how the article portrays the supporters of CRT as being anti-racists, when in fact, the policies they are advocating are all about perpetuating racial stereotypes. Martin Luther King must be spinning in his grave to see his ideas regarding the “content of one’s character” tossed under the bus for policies that put one’s racial identity front and center above all else.

And the locker room issue is just the tip of the iceberg. Wait till those same women are going to undergo some surgery and suddenly realize their “surgeon” is a product of “Equity & Diversity”…and NOT good surgical skills.

Well, after all, competence, hard work and the ability to show up to school or work on time are just symptoms of the white male hierarchy to opress women and minorities.
