It’s All About Race

2021 June 9
by bc3b

Critical race theory, 1619 Project, White Privilege, Systemic Racism, etc., etc., etc.

White people are the oppressors and black people are the oppressed. According to an Asian faculty member at Colorado University, it’s the fault of white racism that most attacks against Asians are caused by blacks. Tim Tebow received an opportunity to try out for the Jacksonville Jaguars because of his white privilege, claim race-baiters Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe.

The left controls the dialog and we are expected to play by their rules. Facts cannot be brought into the conversation. Decisions must be based on emotion and inclusivity. Don’t dare say racist things like taking responsibility, the 77% black illegitimacy rate, disproportionately high levels of violent crime and school dropout rates.

Things like the classics, math, punctuality, hard work and even gingham material are suddenly racist.

Mara Gay, a black member of the New York Times editorial board (and MSMBC contributor), appeared on MSMBC’s Morning Joe Show to discuss how she was traumatized when she visited a dear friend over the weekend on Long Island by pickup trucks with messages attacking Joe Biden, Trump flags and major displays of American flags.

MARA GAY: The reality is here that we have a large percentage of the American population — I don’t know how big it is, but we have tens of millions of Trump voters who continue to believe that their rights as citizens are under threat by simple virtue of having to share the democracy with others. I think as long as they see Americanness as the same as one with whiteness, this is going to continue. We have to figure out how to get every American a place at the table in this democracy, but how to separate Americanness, America, from whiteness. Until we can confront that and talk about that, this is really going to continue.

I was on Long Island this weekend, visiting a really dear friend and I was really disturbed. I saw, you know, dozens and dozens of pickup trucks with expletives against Joe Biden on the back of them, Trump flags, and in some cases, just dozens of American flags, which is also just disturbing, which essentially the message was clear, this is my country. This is not your country. I own this.

And so until we’re ready to have that conversation, this is going to continue. What really is concerning to me as well is, it’s not just Democrats in Congress. I think there’s a large percentage of Americans, even some of my colleagues in journalism, who are invested in some way in pretending that this isn’t the threat that it is. That is the real concern. Because, you know, the Trump voters who are not going to get onboard with democracy, they’re a minority. You can marginalize them, long-term. But if we don’t take the threat seriously, then I think we’re all in really bad shape.

Last year Mara distinguished herself appearing with rocket scientist/war hero Brian Williams on MSNBC discussing election spending. She commented that Michael Bloomberg spent $500-million on his ill-fated campaign. Mara determined that with what he spent, he could have given each of the 330-million Americans one million dollars each and had money left over. Being the genius he is, Brian Williams agreed.

You make the call – qualified hire or affirmative action? Oops, forgot that math is racist.

Expert critical theorists also expressed worry that the child may grow up fighting a constant internal battle between her oppressor self and her oppressed self.

“It is very rare that these two sides achieve perfect equilibrium,” said sociology Professor Tawdro Dingletook of Yale University. “It’s likely this child will either be doomed to a lifetime of being an evil oppressor, or a horribly oppressed minority. She will never fully belong on either side. This is why we need to bring back racial segregation–to keep this kind of thing from happening.”

Local non-college-educated electrician Joe Yoder disagrees. “Maybe Harry and Meghan are simply two precious human souls made in God’s image, and their baby is too, and all this ‘oppression’ stuff is nonsense.”

At the time of publication, it is unclear exactly where Mr. Yoder got his crazy ideas, but it’s probably safe to ignore them since he doesn’t have a college degree. “

Why the madness from the political progressives?
Part is simple madness, the mental fragility discussed in the past thread.
On another blog there was a discussion of this potential theory:
    1) People have a nearly inborn set of behaviors that revolve around war. When war occurs, people spin up emotionally, join the Army, become extremists, sacrifice for the group, etc etc because the cost of losing is so high. It may or may not be so deep-rooted as to be evolutionary but it’s strong and deep
    2) Our politically leftist cohort won’t engage in actual war. They’re against war, violence and so on. They try to control people through group-think. (A big problem is that they have no real backup to deal with anyone who just laughs at their stupid moral pretentions).
    3) They NEED the occasional excitement of war but have no outlet. A deep-seated need with no outlet generates neurosis (behavior triggered by a situation which does not solve the situation … like eating ice cream due to stress. You get fat but you don’t learn to handle the stress).
    4) Either through manipulation, or in reaction to the “need for war”, our prog citizens went into frenzy-mode over Covid. Therefore the need to shame and shout down skeptics, the eager belief in propaganda, labeling nurses and grocery clerks “front line” workers and so on.

I think the frenzy is starting to abate, though there are still many, many cultists STILL wearing masks when outdoors and alone in cars where I live.

Engineered bat virus stirs debate over risky research
Lab-made coronavirus related to SARS can infect human cells.
An experiment that created a hybrid version of a bat coronavirus — one related to the virus that causes SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) — has triggered renewed debate over whether engineering lab variants of viruses with possible pandemic potential is worth the risks.

In an article published in Nature Medicine1 on 9 November, scientists investigated a virus called SHC014, which is found in horseshoe bats in China. The researchers created a chimaeric virus, made up of a surface protein of SHC014 and the backbone of a SARS virus that had been adapted to grow in mice and to mimic human disease. The chimaera infected human airway cells — proving that the surface protein of SHC014 has the necessary structure to bind to a key receptor on the cells and to infect them.

Ok I listened to this one. Never heard of Shinobi before. He’s kind of crass, but he has a lot of good points about this mining council thing being a bit toxic and being a regulatory creep. hard to get through the beginning of the interview, but once he started talking about elon and his mining stuff, and how they wouldn’t comment on whether carbon credits was pretty interesting. No doubt this is corporate interests trying to take over bitcoin as he says.

The Lordstown Motors Mirage: Fake Orders, Undisclosed Production Hurdles, And A Prototype Inferno
“Lordstown is an electric vehicle SPAC with no revenue and no sellable product, which we believe has misled investors on both its demand and production capabilities.
The company has consistently pointed to its book of 100,000 pre-orders as proof of deep demand for its proposed EV truck. Our conversations with former employees, business partners and an extensive document review show that the company’s orders are largely fictitious and used as a prop to raise capital and confer legitimacy.
For example, Lordstown recently announced a 14,000-truck deal from E Squared Energy, supposedly representing $735 million in sales. E Squared is based out of a small residential apartment in Texas that doesn’t operate a vehicle fleet.
Another 1,000-truck, $52.5 million order comes from a 2-person startup that operates out of a Regus virtual office with a mailing address at a UPS Store. We spoke with the owner who acknowledged it won’t actually order any vehicles, instead describing the “pre-order” as a mere marketing relationship.”

Amazingly, the story only gets worse from there.
