Political Fiction

Epshteyn said that “the interplay of the 10th Amendment” to the U.S. Constitution, the 12th Amendment and Article II, “would suggest that states do have a right to decertify. And from then, it’s an open question what happens next.”

He said that after information becomes available from state audits, “decertification should happen because that’s the correct step from the states. And from then on in terms of deciding what to do about the federal election, well, there’s gonna be an open question,” he noted, remarking that he believes that the matter will go before the Supreme Court.

Source

That is a Looooong shot. Even if you could get 4 States to decertify an election it does not change how the given Electors at the time voted, and per the Constitution that is what counts. The next fallback is that Congress gets involved and with Nancy in control that is a crap shoot if your aim is to put Trump back in office. A bunch of improbables would need to fall in place. So if that is game to play, I will give you a much more plausible scenario.

How it would work:

  • 4 State decertify throwing Biden’s victory in doubt. States invoke SCOTUS.
  • Economy gets worse in 2022 giving GOP a super majority in the House, majority in the Senate.
  • SCOTUS rules that the election was a fraud. Throws the election issue to the Congress to resolve. Further states that all actions of the administration are moot.
  • House announces Trump as Speaker.
  • House moves to remove Biden/Harris.
  • Per 25th Amendment, Speaker is next in line of succession.
  • Trump is sworn in as POTUS.

Any more plausible? Only in one aspect. The issues of electors are removed. The new obstacle would be does the GOP have the ability to reach sufficient wins in the midterms.

Its fun to write fiction.

Interesting idea. Yes! Do I dream about it. Yes! Will it happen? No! Rinos especially McCarthy and Scalise would never give up power to Trump.

But for a moment lets play this out. Question: If Trump becomes President again would he bring Pence with him?

Or pitched a different way, would Pence want to? Even more fun, — Who else would Trump pick instead?

    PRP,

Good observation. Question would be does he want higher office?

Something I have not thought about but is probably true. There are a whole series of Guvs who have deselected themselves to higher office. CA, WA, MI, NY office holders come to mind. CoVid has sort of set up the situation. Who would vote for Whitmer for POTUS?

I think Desantis is up for re-election in 2022. Don’t think he would give up a 4 year term for 2 years as VP.

Would love to see that ticket.

China quit buying US treasuries in 2008, and is instead using its trade surplus to invest in commodities and the belt and road initiative especially Africa.

It’s using America’s mandated import economy (see triffin’s dilemma) to fund its takeover of the world. They send us junk, and we send them US dollars to fund their ventures. This is an unbelievably toxic relationship in my opinion

2nd Vote, a snip below but lots more at the link.
    https://www.dailysignal.com/2021/06/22/how-to-put-the-pressure-on-woke-big-businesses/
Want to Put the Pressure on Woke Big Businesses? This Organization Has Advice

Amy Lannom Wilhite is executive director at 2ndVote, which keeps track of major companies’ positions on social issues such as the transgender agenda.

“You wouldn’t support [certain positions] at the ballot box with a candidate that you vote for, so why would you spend your dollars there?” asks Wilhite, who joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to talk about how her organization helps Americans make consumer decisions based on their convictions.

“We say your first vote is at the ballot box and your second vote is with your wallet,” Wilhite says. “It’s the power of what you have in your pocket and with the money that you spend. And we want to educate consumers so that they can shop their values [and] so that we can make change with all the corporate activism that’s going on.”

And while we’re a conservative research group, we applaud those that are on the conservative side, that go that route, but we really want corporations to just be neutral and stay out of the culture wars and quit being so divisive.

Can you imagine the country, what it would be today, if corporations would do that and stay out of the social issues that we have going on right now? That if you go buy a cup of coffee that you know you’re just getting a good cup of coffee.

And we also have said to shop local because when you’re shopping local, the money is staying in your community. Those small local businesses are usually supporting things like your high school choir and your little league, and things like that. They’re not supporting the radical left organizations that are destroying our country and our world we live in today.

Doubtful indeed that M$ will sink anytime soon. However I note that M$ is not a big player in the IOT space. They have to compete with AWS in the digital platform space. Their desktop business is no longer a profit center and their server business though profitable has been shrinking YoY for the last 5. That last bit because I think they are letting their digital presence cannibalize that market share. M$ is not the same company that the ladies auxiliary stock traders bought years ago.

24, the amounts are small, tbh I bet all investment companies have plenty of complaints to deal with.
But I was getting more concerned before Social Justice got called on deck.
“Most recently [December 2020], the New York Times published a bombshell report detailing Coinbase’s flagrantly racist and sexist employment practices in explicit detail – going as far as providing explicit details on which employees were underpaid and by how much (the report concluded that Coinbase had underpaid its black employees by >10%, relative to white employees working at the company in the exact same role as said black employees) = https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/29/technology/coinbase-pay-employees.html

Unfortunately, for the Fed, their box is tighter than most realize. If the Fed hasn’t figured it out by now, even before they fail to raise interest rates, they will be unable taper Quantitative Easing (debt monetization) much less shrink their balance sheet, without serious consequences.

Drought. Wow. Has gotten a lot worse from the last time I looked at it. Indeed food costs are going up higher than they are already. Costs of hay is going to skyrocket. I figure come early fall there will be a small window where beef prices drop some as the ranchers sell off to avoid feed costs for the winter. Pork prices should also be dropping. Chinese have overcome their swine flu problem that decimated the pork herds. They won’t have to go long on the global market for hogs this year.
