Can Joey Come Out to Play?

During the 2020 campaign Joe Biden was wisely kept in his basement with very limited campaign appearances because his handlers are afraid of what he might do or say. The media dutifully went along.

As President the White House has limited his public appearances and even press conferences before a lap dog media whose most pressing question is, “What flavor ice cream are you eating today, Mr. President?”

Last week’s town hall in Cincinnati demonstrates what an unmitigated disaster a public appearance by the cognitively-challenged Biden can be. Biden appeared before a mostly friendly audience with “moderator” Don Lemon acting more like a nurse in a senior citizens home than a journalist, constantly wiping the drool from Biden’s face, correcting his missteps and asking zero tough questions.

Biden failed miserably in an event CNN meticulously engineered to ensure the President would come off as well as possible (or to minimize damage). Fortunately, for Biden, the event was on CNN so few watched. It finished well behind FNC and MSNBC in its time slot.

CNN’s heavily promoted town hall event with President Biden lit up social media for all the wrong reasons on Wednesday night as everything from crowd size to moderator Don Lemon’s performance was roasted.

Bloomberg News reporter Jennifer Epstein kicked things off by pointing out the tiny crowd. “CNN was very careful to not show that no one showed up for the Biden Town Hall and that most of the room was empty,” radio host Mark Simone noted.

The Bongino Report declared the event was a “train wreck,” while Media Research Center president Brent Bozell called it “garbage.”

National Review editor Jack Butler slammed the “contrived” CNN event that he feels is a far cry from the successful town hall events of the past. Saying the format should be abolished, he called it a “hideous spectacle unbecoming of a self-governing republic” that continues to get worse.

“With the help of the mawkish sheen inculcated by the format, Biden largely skated through a kind of CliffsNotes of current events by invoking either his preferred cliché or talking point of the moment or a variety of emotional or ironic rhetorical devices as he saw fit,” Butler wrote.

“If CNN had any shame or respect for the citizens of a self-governing republic, the network would never air one of these idiotic events again,” Butler added. “But don’t expect that to happen anytime soon.”

NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck noted that eight Democrats were allowed to ask questions, while only three Republicans were given the opportunity.

Grabien Media founder Tom Elliott sarcastically said Biden was “crushing it” when sharing a viral video of the president struggling to answer a question. Elliott’s clip has piled up over 2.2 million views and generated a plethora of criticism. Some viewers were irked that Lemon didn’t point out Biden’s struggles, while others just felt the entire ordeal was painful to watch.

Lemon also referred to Biden as “the big guy” during the presidential town hall.

“You’ve been the big guy for six months now in the White House. Can you take us behind the scenes, something that was extraordinary or unusual that happened that stands out to you?” Lemon asked.

“The big guy” was notably used as a reference to Biden in a leaked email thread allegedly involving Joe’s son Hunter Biden making a deal with a Chinese energy firm. In 2020, Fox News confirmed the authenticity of an email dated May 13, 2017 that detailed a discussion for “remuneration packages” for people involved in a business deal. A section of the email contained a propriety split reading “10 held by H for the big guy?” which was later confirmed to reference Joe Biden.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y. remarked on this connection as well, tweeting “Wow. Even Don Lemon knows Joe Biden is the “Big Guy”! #HuntersEmails.”

“What flavor is that, Mr. President?” “I think it’s strawberry.”

Just as Joseph Goebbels had no shame, today’s media has no shame.

Correct. Goebbels’ title was Minister of Propaganda. any of today’s media still refuse to admit they are propagandists.

I attended the equivalent Freedom Rally in San Jose yesterday. There were simultaneous rallies in many dozens of cities across the world. Euros are getting it hard. A disease with way less than one percent deaths has driven leaders mad. Recovered people with natural antibodies given no dispensation. Children with negligible death/hospitalization rates force-masked and force-vaxxed. Refusal to consider promising, simple treatments like ivermectin.
    Total top down rule. IMHO

My buddy, Fr. Huffman, is/was a big Indians fan. At the end of the mass yesterday he mentioned that the Indians name had been changed to the Guardians. He mockingly said, “The name Guardians is sure to throw fear into their opponents.” Then he put on his Chief Wahoo cap and announced that “Chief Wahoo is alive and well in St. Joe’s rectory.”

22, a friend fwd’ed to me a conspiracy piece saying that the Covid was not the real pandemic. It was just a way to get the vaccine widespread in the population.
Didn’t convince me, but I’ll freely admit tons of stuff simply don’t make sense.

    Are authorities really THAT stupid?
Was it all just to get Trump out of office?
Is there some double secret plot related to the vaccine?
    Jury still out …

The left would have gladly sacrificed the lives of 10-million Americans (as long as it wasn’t them or their families) to get Trump out of office.

This is likely the final count as Chicago Police had the morning to find bodies: 73 shot, 12 fatally:

What do you think is the cause of the weekend violence in Chicago:
    A. Guns coming from Wisconsin and (mostly) Indiana
    B. White supremacy
    C. Gangs
    D. A&B

The correct answer is D. Gangs don’t exist in Chicago and, even if they did, they wouldn’t play a role in violence and you’re racissst for suggesting they might.

He is right in that a small percentage of people (white liberals) are responsible for the vast majority of the problems in this country – from dishonest people at CNN convincing blacks that police are trying to kill them to the pressure to drop the name Indians.

22 – EXACTLY…. use it to scare everyone cause the needed chaos, now when you have control and that method starting to backfire (one multiple levels), dial it back.

Are authorities really THAT stupid?: Are they stupid if worked and they largely got what they wanted, and in some ways exceeded what they thought possible?
Was it all just to get Trump out of office? “just” no, but large part of it as far as US was concerned.
Is there some double secret plot related to the vaccine? You mean besides gobs of money and the gov and their extensions into the “private” sectors effectively owning your body now if you want to travel or work? (the irony is incalculable here)

If you mean beyond that (like bringing down WW birthrates etc) idk , but I know this, it’s certainly not the ‘general health of the citizenry’ that is behind the hard push for all this insanity.

#23 yes, yes it was good.
#32 nor would i, in fact at this point I’d assume without facts to the contrary.
