Cops Killed Increases by 41% Over 2020
The number of police officers intentionally killed in the line of duty rose from 27 through June 19 in 2020 compared to 38 this year, a 41% increase. This comes on top of increases in intentional cop deaths every year for the past few years.
This coincides with a major increase in shooting deaths in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles and most major cities across the US.
Getting back to the intentional killing of police officers – just how complicit is CNN and the rest of the media? We all know that CNN’s agenda is two-fold: 1. overemphasizing any news that supports their agenda (e.g. non-stop coverage whenever an unarmed black dies in police custody, etc.); 2. Censoring any news that goes against the CNN narrative (e.g. a law enforcement officer murdered by a black man). CNN never reports black-on-white crime; heck, it doesn’t report black-on-black crime (even when an innocent three-year old is murdered).
Through its bias, CNN propagandizes to anyone dumb enough to watch that blacks are oppressed by the police, but refuses to admit that a disproportionate number of law enforcement officers are murdered by black men. This has been going on since Ferguson in 2014 when Michael Brown was killed and CNN provided non-stop biased coverage. Had Republicans been more courageous, they might have offered the suggestion that CNN was complicit in the murder of the five Dallas law enforcement officers by a black militant.
The number of police officers intentionally rammed by vehicles, killed by gunfire, or stabbed to death has increased over 40% throughout the first six months of 2021 compared to last year as crime in major cities in the United States continues to rise, a review by the Washington Examiner found.
A total of 38 law enforcement personnel have been killed so far this year, equating to a 41% increase compared to data from 2020, according to tabulations made by the Officer Down Memorial Page. By June 19 of last year, 27 officers were pronounced dead in circumstances considered homicides out of a total of 50 who died in a similar fashion throughout 2020 as a whole.
In 2019, 24 officers were killed in the same frame, equating to a 58% increase this year, while in 2018, 33 were killed in a similar fashion, a 15% jump. In 2017, 27 were killed, a 41% increase, and in 2016, only 22 were pronounced dead in circumstances considered homicides, equating to a 73% uptick in 2021.

out here in the PRK, the cops will not even show up for most crimes…even felonies. The crime rate has gone UP dramatically, despite entire categories of crimes having been taken off the books and/or not prosecuted (and thus removed from the statistics)

How is this something a judge can order? What if said city whatever…can’t afford to even do so? Seems backward to me, and probably should the city decide to obey it – to just hire anyone, which just creates more of a problem. How is it the judge didn’t just say your recourse is voting in new city management? Is there a state or local statute requiring an exact amount of cops?
