Let’s See How Woke Highland Park Is

Highland Park, Texas – not Highland Park, Michigan

Highland Park is one of the most affluent parts of the Dallas area. It is rated as the 7th richest city in the US. While it is overwhelmingly Republican (62.5% in 2020), Democratic votes increased by 6% from 2016 to 2020, so you can be sure there are some very woke liberal corporate executives among its population.

Black Lives Matter has challenged Highland Park residents to have their children reject Ivy League schools and the top 50 colleges and universities (in US News annual rankings) because of – you guessed it – racism. The problem with this is that woke elitists only want changes (sacrifices) that affect middle class Americans … not themselves or their families.

Yet parents in Dallas just got a wake-up call. The local Black Lives Matter group Dallas Justice Now launched a new campaign, urging white parents in wealthy Highland Park to sign a pledge to keep their children from applying to America’s top colleges — in the name of “equity.” The organization’s letter to parents lays the guilt on thick.

“We are writing to you because we understand you are white and live within the Highland Park Independent School District and thus benefit from the enormous privileges taken at the expense of communities of color,” Dallas Justice Now writes to parents in the area. “You live in the whitest and wealthiest neighborhood in Dallas. Whether you know it or not, you earned or inherited your money through oppressing people of color.”

As the scourge of “woke” social justice ideology spreads across the nation, most Americans seem ambivalent. What does it matter to them if Major League Baseball moves the All-Star Game out of Atlanta? They still get to watch it. What does it matter if Disney and Coke subject employees to trainings about being “less white”? That’s somebody else’s problem.

“However, it is also our understanding that you are a Democrat and supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement which makes you one of our white allies and puts you in a position to help correct these cruel injustices,” the letter continues. “We need you to step up and back up your words with action and truly sacrifice to make our segregated city more just.”

Wait — so not only does Dallas Justice Now insist that every possible way of making enough money to live in Highland Park is racist but it also claims that Dallas is still “segregated” more than 50 years after segregation ended? Where are the “white” and “colored” water fountains?

But here comes the ask.

“We are asking you to pledge that your children will not apply or attend any Ivy League School or US News & World Report Top 50 School. If you do not have children under 18 then we ask you to pledge to hold your white privileged friends, family, and neighbors with children to this standard,” the letter demands. “These schools have afforded white families privilege for generations. Having your children attend these schools takes away spaces from students of color who really need the job opportunities, education and influence that these schools provide.”

“We know that this sounds like a tough commitment to make. But it is truly disheartening to see wealthy white folks sending charitable donations, posting #BlackLivesMatter on social media, or putting up yard signs as if to say that minimal effort is all they are prepared to do in the fight for racial justice,” the letter adds.

Highland Park, Tx and Highland Park, MI. In the 1950s Highland Park, MI was a Look All-American City and its school system was considered the best in the state. It was the headquarters of Chrysler Corporation and many of its residents were Chrysler mid-level managers. But, times (and demographics) have changed.

    In Brendan’s senior year the regional state wrestling championships for his school size were held at Highland Park High School on a Saturday. A gang fight broke out in the high school parking lot. Since Highland Park disbanded its police department (because it didn’t have the money), law enforcement was handled by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department. The Sheriff’s Department primarily handled open areas in the county and only had a skeleton crew in Highland Park. So, scrapping high school wrestlers were locked in the high school until the rest of the Sheriff’s Department arrived.

    Beyond the headline the thespians starting to admit not just that pcr testing is a joke, particularly once you leave the mid 20’s, but that it that they can’t even tell the difference between typical flu and covid. The farce continues, as I’ve said before anything to pump the figures up last year, and now anything to quietly pump the figures back down all while keeping the fearmongering petal to the medal for more control, because who’s actually paying attention to the data anyway?

    edit…opps I see this was already posted about in #15 in the last thread…figures one the few times I didn’t work backwards to the present.

    Signing a pledge like this is like asking the Jews of 1930’s Germany to send theirs to the gas chambers. Once something like this get going the next step is literally stars on your clothes and ancestry testing for % of ubermenchen.

    Here’s the falsehood in this ‘give your slot to the POC’ represents — the failure rate is extremely high. So they gain nothing but an embedded sense of failure. A small % make it the rest just drift away. Nothing too unusual, generally a quarter of freshmen of all stripes drop out.

    Former California Senator Barbara Boxer (D) was mugged in Oakland on Monday, after an assailant pushed her, stole her cell phone, and jumped into a waiting car.
    The 80-year-old Democrat’s twitter account announced the news later in the day, adding that Boxer “is thankful that she was not seriously injured.”

    It is a series of steps:

    * garner sympathy
    * garner support from the useful idiots.
    * Make good on threats by burning down a block or two.
    * Proceed to demonize a given group.
    * Make civil demands of that group.
    * Make the demands law.
    * Force the given group into ‘ghettos’, er fenced communities.
    * Extract additional taxes or labor upon the group.
    * Stripped of parity, classify the group a parasite on the community.
    * Exterminate the group.

    We are now at bullet point 5 on the scale.

    I know I sound like a broken record pounding on this stuff. However, CoVid is by itself not the prime problem; its a high value influenza that targets a specific component of the population. The much bigger issue is its being used as the global ‘never let a crisis go to waste’ event to terminate YOUR independence.

    This all goes back to KYC stuff. If you are willing to go into smaller exchanges you can still avoid KYC. Also you could go into the coinmixers or privacy coins…maybe.

    The bigger point is the exchange is bending a knee. They now have no leg to stand on when the CB says — fill out X form above $10k value. You’re right back to being in The System. Then the IRS claiming structuring can’t be that far behind.

    True. The IRS however has had a better tool, your tax return and if needed access to your bank account. Nor has that data been anonymous for ages. Ask Tucker.

    I’ve been imaging the case for being bullish Bitcoin in a deflationary environment (rather than the inflationary one that is usually brought up)

    It goes like this: dollar rises, rates fall both indicating that the global shortage of US dollars is ramping up. Dollar strength wrecks havok on the third world. Their currencies begin to deteriorate with the usual third world 50% inflation etc like El Salvidor, Argintina, Nigeria etc.

    As they lose faith in the dollar system, they are forced to opt for the bitcoin standard in its place.
