Dover Didn’t Go Well for Biden

2021 August 31

Dover AFB may be in Joe Biden’s home state, but the “dignified transfer” of the bodies of 11 fallen members of the military did not go well Sunday. Two families requested the bodies of their family members not be shipped to Dover as they didn’t want to be involved. Joe Biden obviously didn’t want to be there (as he was checking his watch) and the families didn’t want Milley, Austin or Biden there. But, “duty calls.”

Joe Biden has taken to using his late son, Beau, as a crutch. Biden mentions him frequently in an attempt to gain sympathy and compassion. President Biden is trying desperately to twist the details of Beau’s death in a poor attempt to portray it as a combat death. Specifically, Biden is trying to tell everyone that Beau was stricken with brain cancer as a result of a year serving as a JAG in Iraq. He tried that again Sunday and it didn’t play well.

The families place the deaths of their members squarely at the feet of Joe Biden as he has screwed up every detail of the exit, from leaving Bagram – unannounced – in the middle of the night on July 5 to sending troops home and having to recall them.

Bagram has two runways while the Kabul airport has one. Bagram is 30 miles from Kabul (in the middle of nowhere) and far easier to defend. By fleeing Bagram July 5 enabled the Taliban to release some of the worst terrorists in the country nearly two months before the allies exit. Some of these men could possibly have been involved in planning and carrying out the suicide bombing that killed 13 military and nearly 200 Afghans. Delaying closing Bagram two months later would not only have kept the terrorists imprisoned, but also given the US an opportunity to transfer/destroy military hardware and pallets of cash.

President Joe Biden attended the dignified transfers of the U.S. service members at Dover Air Force Base on Sunday, with the family members in attendance. After the ceremony, Biden met with some of the families but according to the Washington Post, one meeting did not go well.

The service members, which comprised of Marines, a Navy Corpsman, and a solider, were killed on Thursday after a suicide bomber and gunman attacked the Abbey gate at  Hamid Karzai International Airport. Over 100 Afghan civilians were also killed in the attack.

The family of Lance Cpl. Rylee McCollum — his sisters Roice, his father, and McCollum’s wife, Jiennah McCollum — were at Dover for the ceremony, but only Jiennah went to meet with Biden as the rest of the family did not want to speak with Biden because they hold him responsible for Rylee’s death:

“Only Jiennah, who is expecting the couple’s child next month, stayed. But she left disappointed, Roice said. The president brought up his son, Beau, according to her account, describing his son’s military service and subsequent death from cancer. It struck the family as scripted and shallow, a conversation that lasted only a couple of minutes in ‘total disregard to the loss of our Marine,’ [sister] Roice said.

“‘You can’t f— up as bad as he did and say you’re sorry,’ Roice said of the president. ‘This did not need to happen, and every life is on his hands.’

“The White House declined to comment on the private conversations Biden had with families.”

The McCollums’ reaction tracks with what I was told from sources close to some of the Gold Star families, who said more than one of the families did not even want Biden to attend the dignified transfers.

“You can’t have a hasty withdrawal after 20 years of war,”  Paula Knauss, mother of Ssgt. Ryan Knauss, told the Post. “Because it’s beyond me. It disgraces the name of all those who have fought in the past and who are now on ground, foreign ground fighting right now, my son’s [82nd] Airborne is still there, and they deserve to be protected.”

Loyalty is DOWN before it is UP

The first time I heard that military saying I frankly didn’t understand it. My father said it to me when I made Sergeant in the Marines, and he explained what it meant. I later heard it numerous times in various leadership classes during my time in the Marines.

For those who don’t know, here is the explanation.

You cannot expect the men and women serving below you to show loyalty UP to you, until you show loyalty DOWN to them.

Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller demonstrated his loyalty to the men and women serving under him, when he demanded…on their account and the account of ALL those serving in the armed forces…that those above him demonstrate accountability for the disaster in Afghanistan.

Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller kept the faith with his Marines…and was immediately ABANDONED by those above him. Those above him showed NO loyalty down to him, and he resigned rather than pretend to have loyalty up to them. He explained clearly and concisely why they deserve NO loyalty, and NO respect.

    Semper Fi, Colonel Scheller…and Godspeed.

JR I believe that quote “Loyalty is DOWN before it is UP” applies to all of us not just military.

Our government needs to show loyalty down to us before we can ever be loyal to our government again.

Trump was making inroads with America first. But I won’t be holding my breath waiting for any loyalty from the elites.

Ripple is rofflestomping the SEC right now. They have asked for trading records of the entire SEC staff to prove that they are trading ripple.

SEC members are not allowed to trade securites, and the case is about ripple being a security so if their members are trading the security then those members are breaking the law.

Biden will address the nation on Afghanistan. My prediction: he will take a victory lap for getting us out. This victory lap (Biden got us out of an unwinnable war after 20 years) will be a Democratic theme going forward and the media will happily join in.

Actually, Biden plans to address Afghans and read off the names of all Afghans who helped the Allies and are trapped in Afghanistan … just to make sure the Taliban knows.

  21. 2021 August 31 10:22 am

Not that they’ll do anything about it, nor probably even really care but R house conference (just had a presser) just called on Biden to resign, Milley and Austin to resign, as well as SecDef, the latter of which they say will be impeached if he doesn’t () .

The biggest problem for crypto right now in terms of adoptions is the gatekeepers of the cell phone google and apple. Apple takes 50% of instore purchases and you are not allowed to do roundabouts it has to go through them in cash settlement.

“Perhaps the biggest concession from Apple would let developers finally communicate directly with customers about alternative payment options, with their permission, using information collected inside their apps.

The changes apply to developers worldwide — not just small developers in the U.S. covered by the settlement.”

This allows them to not only avoid paying through apple that takes a cut….but now apps will not be bound to apple pay and credit cards.

This settlement is only for apps that make less than 1 million dollar annually.

But the same judge is doing the Fortnight vs Apple case.

So my hope is to move Apple out of the way.

So, if I’m understanding the plan properly, the Scranton Scrotum will deliver aid and economic assistance, AKA comfort, to the Taliban, AKA our enemy.
Someone should invent a legal term for such egregious behavior. Could even be added to the Constitution at some point as a serious crime. Perhaps even an impeachable one.

JR – for you on #5. My brother when he was an E-9 in the navy, told his staff to assemble and get ready to inspect the shaft of the ship. He shows up in his coveralls and his staff showed up in normal dress. He asked if they were going to down into the shaft like that. Gave them 10 minutes to get properly dressed and return. Told me that they didn’t think he (an E-9) would get down in the muck and mire of the shaft to examine it. As he told me, he wanted to see the shaft SINCE it was his signature going on the paperwork (meaning his @ss).

He would lead by example – doing what needed to be done along side his men/women (did have a few) doing the same work.

#37 I read that news a couple days ago, and thought it might have been the same judge that ruled Britney Spears had the decision making of a two year old for 20 years.

Critical Care doctors are the top of the hierarchy of hospitals namely the person that all the other doctors call when the shit is hitting the fan and they need someone to clean up the mess. I hope the CCM ignored this judge bc his ruling is a threat to independence as well as just…. dumb. You can’t have one doctor ordering some other doctor to do something, and if you are going to do such it should be the other way around namely the ICU doctor calling the shots not rando internet doctor that was peddling ivermectin as a get rich scam. Btw remdesivir is toxic to the liver already and the fact that this judge is ordering a ICU level doctor to give another medication that could do the same without knowing any of the labs or situation etc is a joke.

Any malpractice suit will need an critical care level doctor to testify against that critical care doctor at least in most states, and these doctors all know each other maybe not as a friend but at least know of each other in the same area. The system is designed this way so you don’t have rando family med doctor or internet doctor testifying against a cardiologist and confusing juries that have no idea what’s going on to begin with.

They are unlikely to testify negatively against each other if it’s absolute bs like this. I have a feeling that ICU doc wrote a note in the chart about how the judge was going to cause severe liver damage possibility resulting in death to cover himself. Basically tell him where to shove it.
