Solutions Abound
There is a common thread thru many of the problems facing this country – power hungry elites wishing to maintain control. The other is, not knowing that there are alternatives, Americans cling to what the elites dish out.
Lets take a look at some.
Raise tariffs
Not on select products but across the board. 30%, pick a number. Rather than raise the income tax as Biden suggests, raise the tariff. The rich dodge the increasing taxes thru their army of accountants. Sure a tariff affects everyone but it is less regressive than the income tax. The Chinese college student importing the Lambo will pay the same marginal rate as the mother buying canned milk from China, but at least the student will pay more in dollar terms.
Zero Tax on Business
The idea that businesses pay taxes has always been a sham foisted by politicians on a public that does not know tax policy. Simple fact of the matter is the businesses just pass the tax burdens onto the buyer.
Couple it with the tariffs and industries would move production back here. Capital always flows where it is treated best.
Eliminate the Fed
The Fed has become the most useless organization imaginable. They were supposed to be independent of the politicians, but in actuality the Fed is more political than ever and tied hip deep with the White House. It has outlived its prime purpose – a stable money supply.
That will gore the banksters, and so be it.
Back to the gold standard
Take a look at any chart going back to the 1800s and one notes that the variance in commodity pricing does not vary much till we hit the 1970s when we went off the gold standard. Coinage is useful and a ready store of value but cumbersome in a digital transaction world.
What is needed is the marriage of precious metals with blockchain. There are several platforms that provide this service. However the one that is needed is a gold backed private chain system independent of the govt save for recognition of its use for resolution of all debts under law.
Eliminate the CDC/FDA
Do we even need to detail why in our current situation? Dump’em.
Bye Bye Dept of Ed.
That whole entity needs to be erased. At the local level, K-12, institute vouchers. Use blended face-to-face and internet instruction as is appropriate for student and topic. So long as federal student aid exists the institutions benefiting from the largess must have skin in the game.
So long, farewell, was nice to know you…
Social Security that is. The system was always a house of cards. We need to formulate a phase out plan. The fact is come next year the system will expend more than it takes in – forever.
What must be realized is that whether we collectively decide to burn some bridges tactically or let events burn them for us, the fact is they will burn. Just remember the maxim of decision making –
- There is the right decision.
- There is the wrong decision.
- There is no decision, which is always wrong as you relinquish that choice to someone else.
Is there more that could be put on the table? Sure, but this is a start.

Any especially hard nosed policy just punishes republicans like 2008 when we elected 60 dem senators. If we didnt do Trump covid stimmies, we probably would have had bernie instead of biden.
[3]
good list of solutions…and yes, we can add lots more
the DEFENSE Department, doesn’t defend us anymore. Change them back to the “War Department“, and maybe they will remember their TRUE purpose
the Department of ENERGY, produces NO energy…and in fact stifles its production. Scrap ’em
and so on…

Or, you can let nature take its course and it will burn itself down.
Human nature is to do what you have been doing (status quo, particularly DC) UNTIL you are forced to do otherwise.
INC – thanks for the info on Vitamin D3.
[7]
Good list Dr. I agree with JR on dept of ED. Also we can get rid of Dept of energy.
If we are going to keep these various dept. then lets move many of them out DC. Dept of ag to Iowa.
Hud to Detroit etc. Take away the centralized power of DC.

I’m sure you can still get vaxxed but via individual appt with your doctor not at a giant Center.

gnqanq #6, you’re welcome! D3 is the form to take. It is a wonder vitamin.
Here’s more, and then I’ll stop unless you have any other questions.
I’ve seen about 4 sites that say don’t go over 4000 IU daily: 3 from US and the UK NHS site. A big problem trying to figure things out is that people hedge their bets on supplements. I try to look around to see what several are saying and who is saying it. One guy said doses up to 10000 IU daily have’t shown toxicity, but I would never use that much unless a doctor prescribed it. If you have kidney problems or thyroid problems too much Vit D can make things worse. If you have any known health concerns talk to your doctor. I wouldn’t want my husband to increase from his current 3000 IU without discussing it with his cardiologist and endocrinologist.
From the Mayo Clinic:
“The main consequence of vitamin D toxicity is a buildup of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause nausea and vomiting, weakness, and frequent urination. Vitamin D toxicity might progress to bone pain and kidney problems, such as the formation of calcium stones.”
“Taking 60,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity. This level is many times higher than the U.S. Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for most adults of 600 IU of vitamin D a day.”
https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/vitamin-d-toxicity/faq-20058108
60,000 IU/daily is an insane amount to take–more than my elderly mom’s doctor put her on per week when she had a pelvic hairline fracture. That would be kind of expensive as well. US RDA is what I mean by hedging their bets. Even our Centrum Silver multi, a regular name brand, has more than that.
Because I take a lot of D and calcium (among other things) for my bones, I take K2 because it helps bone density while keeping calcium out of my blood-vessel walls and soft tissue. It becomes a balancing act. My doctors are aware of the supplements I take. I have found over the years that my doctors now listen about supplements. Years ago it seemed as if only my OBs cared!!
Foods with Vitamin D:
oily fish – such as salmon, sardines, herring and mackerel
red meat
liver
egg yolks
fortified foods – such as some fat spreads and breakfast cereals
milk usually has D added unless you’re buying locally straight from a dairy
oj: some orange juices have added D
[35]
Cool info on D3, thanks.
I’m taking a supplement but only being sure to not go overboard on the dosage. Nice to know more detail about what’s safe and recommended and how it works
[36]
INC – again thanks for the info. BTW, I take 2 – 2000 IU a day (4000 IU total), for the last 2 months. No problems so far (before I was taking 1 – 2000 IU a day).
[37]
You’re welcome, guys.

By the way, — https://www.zerohedge.com/political/school-board-recall-attempts-surge-2021-amid-covid-closures-crt-fears — Here is another solution, fire their a$$. Major school board recall sweeping the country.
That is just recalls. Not every state has that option. Wait till regular election season heats up. Going to be a lot of board members with free time on their hands. That will have repercussions beyond just schools. Once local folk recognize they CAN affect change locally they will branch out. Don’t like your CoP? Fire the mayor and get a new one.

Any time you activate the immune system though you can have it end up reacting to something it shouldnt as in low chance you end up w multiple schlerosis or
Myasthenia or…a bell’s palsy.
You could end up with the same thing if you get a flu shot or a shingles shot.
The reason youre seeing it w covid is bc were doing mass vaccination so the numbers of people getting it are so large it’s east for the internet to find some outliers.
There was a conservative talk radio host who preached to his listeners to not get vaxxed, and he died of covid yesterday. Can link if you want.

Elections Canada has threatened to turn away voters who show up in person to vote without a mask ahead of a national election on September 20th.
The Canadian elections agency held a press conference stating that those who had no medical exemption in areas that required a mask to be worn indoors would be turned away from polling stations and not allowed to cast their vote.
