Myths about Anti-Vaxers Shattered

2021 August 11

According to the Biden administration and the lapdog media, COVID is surging because MAGA hat-wearing rednecks in “flyover country” refusing to get vaccinated are the cause of the increase in cases.

Like most (all?) co9ming from the Biden Administration, these are lies. As of August 9, 59% of the US population is fully vaccinated. 23.6% of blacks and 31.8% percent of Hispanics are fully vaccinated.

That may not be surprising, but this is:

Matt has already reported on the Kaiser Poll that countered the left’s narrative that it’s Republicans who are most vaccine hesitant. According to that data, most of them “are people who are detached from the political process and didn’t vote for either major candidate in 2020,” according to CNN.

Now, a separate study conducted by researchers at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University has revealed some other interesting data about the vaccine hesitant.

The researchers looked at vaccine hesitancy across race, education, U.S. region and Trump support in the 2020 election. When it comes to education, this survey found it’s actually the most educated who are most hesitant.

The researchers looked at vaccine hesitancy across race, education, U.S. region and Trump support in the 2020 election. When it comes to education, this survey found it’s actually the most educated who are most hesitant.

The largest decrease in hesitancy between January and May by education group was in those with a high school education or less. Hesitancy held constant in the most educated group (those with a Ph.D.); by May Ph.D.’s were the most hesitant group. While vaccine hesitancy decreased across virtually all racial groups, Blacks and Pacific Islanders had the largest decreases, joining Hispanics and Asians at having lower vaccine hesitancy than whites in May. (UPMC.com)

And, look where COVID is rearing its ugly head in Texas:

With Covid-19 cases skyrocketing exponentially and intensive care unit capacity in hospitals dwindling to single digits, officials in the Austin area are warning of “catastrophe” as Texas again becomes an center of the pandemic.

Austin’s local governments issued an urgent message through their emergency notification system Saturday, imploring residents to stay home, mask up and get vaccinated.

The entreaty comes mere days after Austin Public Health elevated its risk-based guidance to stage 5, the highest possible tier.

The situation is critical,” Desmar Walkes, Austin-Travis county’s health authority, said in a statement. “Our hospitals are severely stressed and there is little we can do to alleviate their burden with the surging cases.”

The Texas trauma service area that includes Austin only has six available ICU beds, 499 available hospital beds and 313 available ventilators – a stunning dearth of resources for a population nearly 2.4 million strong.

Isn’t Austin the center of the redneck Trump-supporting deplorables in Texas?

I think the Chi Coms may have underestimated what they released/leaked.

I wonder if it was a natural virus (rather than man-made), would all these variants be possible?

idk that lambda is spreading like delta though. I was just noting that’s it’s arrived in case it does start to spread.

I think China will probably have to be treated more like the soviet Union was years ago, but our leaders are too slow to do such it seems.

I think we need to have at least 90% vaccination rates, and the Biden administration isn’t doing much of anything to achieve this. People need to have all their government benefits removed until they begin to comply ideally.

If that doesn’t work, then we have to move to mandatory vaccination.

    Loved this article.

These flat earthers deny science until they can’t breath, and then they show up at the hospitals running up a 200K ICU bill, which they expect the government to pay of course.

As the R-naught goes up, we need a higher percent vaccination rate to stop it. At this rate we just watch people throw mud at each other as the situation worsens.

Biden has proven inept at dealing with covid IMO.

We didn’t need more stimmy checks in Jan-feb but what made it worse was he was handing out money to counteract covid without requiring the check cashers to do their part.

PRP, I got the fu@king vaccine…voluntarily. I wouldn’t do it again, but did so that’s that.

I believe I HAVE had side effects directly related to it, and in fact am going to see a specialist this week for further testing.

I wish the government had tried to FORCE me to take it when I did…because I would have REFUSED.

IF the Nazis running our current “government” attempt to force people to take the vaccine, through any of the methods being suggested (including “withholding of all government benefits”) then we will either have a revolution or a slave society.

    Because if people DON’T fight back, then there will be endless series of actions we MUST do, in order to avert {_insert manufactured emergency}

22 – Even more raids today apparently, as well as lots of states moving ahead with machine wipes. Clearly nobody wants any of this looked at in detail, these things in and off themselves tells you everything you need to know.

32 – Probably cause he was hoping the sleazeball from NY would be successful. Why else absolute ~18 morons agreed to vote for cloture on monday I’ll never understand. Couldn’t spend ~500billion on infra-bill that was like 85% infra related from 2017-2020, but have no problem doing it now when the price tag is 1.xT (and it will grow by the time the house is done and the gop will vote for it), and it’s less than ~10% on actual infra.

35 – Only does that for things he personally cares about, clearly this (and most) ain’t one of them, I thought that was fucking obvious by now.

I was thinking about the concept of asset inflation this morning and how ppl argue that this is not inflation.

I think you can view asset inflation as a form of wage deflation. For example if the same home would cost you 500k now instead of 250k, you just need to work twice as many hours to get the same thing. This could go for retirement assets as well. If PE ratios rise it’s the same thing you just have to pay more for the same things you desire to obtain specifically retirement assets.

Yet the cpi focuses on the price of a television going down 5%.
