The Stupid

2021 September 14
by drdog09

The stupid is not just the big things like Afganistan which was bad enough. But it is in all those small every day things we bump into.

The Big Things:

The Small Things:

  • Go to McDonalds and ice cream machine is broken again.
  • The cashier can’t make change because the teller server is down.
  • The contractor that can’t complete a one day job in one day.
  • The HomeDepot Manager who won’t open a pack, to sell you two of.
  • The idiot driving a car with their mask on.
  • A plastic do-dad for the car costs $40 bucks at the dealership and its on backorder.
  • The fact that the DMV is still as screwed up as ever and won’t change.

The reality is in the headlong rush for ‘efficiency’ and ‘best price’ we end up getting neither. The supply chain is now so screwed up that they may even have to cancel Christmas. To ship a container of goods is now in the $20k range rather the $3k it usually cost. Its not just the systems either, but we can blame the MBA’s on that one. But Dear Lord there are people so unaware of their own inadequecy that they might as well be a NPC in a video game.

And yes I am talking about the politicans. In a sane world most in Congress would be the janitor sweeping out the 4 decker garage. Take Biden, please! Here is a man who has NEVER worked a day in his life in a real job. He went from University, to campaign hack, to Senator and for the last 40 years has done nothing else. The irony, were he to pass away tomorrow, is his sole mark would be how screwed up his son is with drugs and sex. Oh and he would have a page in Wikipedia as POTUS 46.

I never expected ‘Idiotarcy’ to be the training manual for the 21st century.

This is prima facie case of what a NPC is —

drdog, a small anecdote from your list. I experienced one of the clueless HomeDepot Managers last year when I went to buy over $300 worth of building materials from the Home Depot in Chico. We happened to be up there, though usually shop at the Oroville Home DEpot, cause it’s closer.

Home Depot had been giving a 10% discount to all Veterans (you need to have a Veterans card, which I have). When I went to check out I showed the clerk my Veterans card.

Clerk: “We only give that discount on 3 holidays: Veterans Day, Memorial Day and July 4th.
Me: “I said I have always gotten the discount anytime at any Home Depot. Please get your Manager over here”
Manager: (after the situation was explained to her) “Let me get the Company policy manual for you…it’ll just take a minute.
    [returns PROUDLY with the manual]
Manager: “SEE…the clerk is correct. It has been company policy for several months now.
Me: “I have shopped multiple times at Home Depot over the few months, and ALWAYS gotten the discount.”
Manager: “OH. [dripping scorn]You must shop at the Oroville store.
I’ve heard they aren’t following the policy…WE DO!! [proudly]

Me: “Good for you…now you can have someone put all this stuff back on the shelves…I won’t EVER be back.”
Manager and Clerk [in unison]: “Thank you for your service
Me [over my shoulder]: “Apparently not.

I drove to the Oroville store on the way home, and picked up the EXACT same items (about $350 worth). I started to pull out my Veterans card, but the clerk there stopped me and said: “I already took the 10% off…I saw your Marine Corps hat as you walked up”

I told the Oroville clerk about the Chico “experience” and she laughed. She told me it IS a company policy, but the General Manager of the Oroville store thinks it is stupid, and instructed us to ALWAYS give the discount, and even to ask if someone is a Veteran so we can give it to them.

I told EVERYONE I know, and none of them shop at the Chico store anymore.

As we learned in the pandemic:
    1) experts are too narrow and do stupid things. “If it saves even ONE life … ”
Expert: shut down the entire global economy. All of it. It might save one life.
    2) Politicians are ignorant. Literally, all they know is political campaigns
Politician: I’m just doing what the Expert advised.
    3) Vast numbers of citizens are sheep. They allow anything as long as they don’t have to be involved.
Citizen: I’m just doing what my elected official said to do.

    We see the results everywhere

Jim, the “pandemic” has merely been the vehicle to accelerate the rush to ‘1984’. The desperation being shown by governments across the globe, including our own despicable one, stems from too many people waking up too fast.

Australia did it “right”…they disarmed the populace first. Here in (what’s left of) the USA they left us armed (that pesky 2nd Amendment) and are thus reduced to screeching about “MANDATES!”

The Reichstag Fire event (Jan6) didn’t create enough hysteria to grant the gun grabbers all the “authority” to disarm us…look for another “event” soon. That’s why Bush, et al, are happily labeling We the People as “Domestic Terrorists”, so we become the focus of their “ride to the rescue!”

    Stay tuned

True enough, JR. It’s not like they needed an excuse. They already had a plan to move in this direction.

Still, looking over the long run it seems to me that the Greatest Generation came home from WWII and said “my kids are never going to have to face this kind of crap”. They set the US on a terrific arc of prosperity and mostly peace. Too many citizens have never experienced any Darwinian pressure. They literally believe they can sit on the couch and do nothing and things will continue to work OK.

The cockroaches like Antifa and Dem Party members have grown bold. There’s no one willing to simply gun them down in the street so they move forward step by step extinguishing freedom.

Speaking of vaxx, here is another narrative down the tubes — — from The Atlantic no less. Actually walking back their previous spewing on the topic.

Imagine, when the govt is willing to pick up the tab plus give a little extra, what’s a hospital to do? As the saying goes, “Subsidize it and you get more of it, Tax it and you get less.” Imagine that!

geez, drdog, in order to get fired he was charged with allegedly smashing his wife’s head into a nightstand and choking her after a swingers’ sex party.

    And even then I’ll bet:
    (a) it had to go through half a dozen “review boards” to determine if this even WAS a “fire-worthy offense” (NOT whether he did it…just whether the FBI actually frowns on such conduct) and
    (b) he gets reinstated

The reason Australia has turned into a police state is because they have very large numbers of unvaccinated and therefor delta is raging overwhelming their health systems.

Luckily in the USA we have much higher vaccination rates.

As I’ve said in the past this man should be hung, twice over if this is remotely accurate – but it Woodward so at best it’s 50/50.

Everyone getting their 10% I guess.

“The cashier can’t make change because the teller server is down.”

or they just don’t have the coins.
    (some months back a Quicktrip)
Them: “do you really want your change sir?”…
Me :”huh? Yes, of course I want my change, it’s not like it’s a take-a-penny,leave-a-penny situation, it’s 52cents, yes I want it.”
Them: “here is a piece of paper for 52 cents in store credit, we’re out of coins atm”
Me: “wtf is this? (walks out to car, gets 48 cents from the console full of change, walks back in hands receipt +48cents and asks for a dollar bill back) – I’ll help you with your coin shortage – cause lorn knows I’ll lose this little receipt by the next time I’m in here, if I remember at all which I bet corporate is counting on.”

11 – That’s actually a win for them, because he’s now no longer a gov employee he doesn’t have to respond to any internal investigations about his activities (if they were even going to exist) because it can now be a dead-ended because “well we can’t compel his testimony”, we saw this with many XfireH (and related) players. Yeah it’s a positive he doesn’t have a badge anymore, but it’s not like it’s not a self-serving action.

I’ve noticed a lot of the actual rich people are members of the Democrat party because the entire “tax the rich” thing doesn’t even apply to them.

Anyone who is actually rich doesn’t even have a salary to “tax the rich” with, and if they do, it isn’t anything significant to them. They either have so much money they don’t need to work or if they are working like a CEO for example the salary is just a place holder not how they actually make money (getting rewarded via shares etc)

If anything the whole “tax the rich” thing is just something that prevents others from scrapping their way up to the top up to their level since you can easily divide society into asset holders vs people who are still working for a living trying to obtain assets.

18 – Have folks been given the go ahead to finally push him out, be it as someone to dump blame on for all of the Afghanistan disaster (lots of it no doubt deserved) or just want the distract regardless? No better time then the present to ditch him for an even more reliable yes man I suppose. …or… WH didn’t want any of this out and agencies are leaking against the WH wishes.

“BREAKING: At least one of Milley’s calls to China was intercepted by a partner nation targeting PRC leadership and resulted in a FVEY rocket of “WTF” to Meade and Bolling, per IC official”

“BREAKING: Several Pentagon officers present in Milley’s secret meeting are willing to testify against him under oath, per WH official”

Where were said officers when it mattered?

“The federal district court in Alexandria, Virginia agreed to defer prosecution for three years in the complex case, which highlighted the global market of government’s seeking highly trained computer security experts to spy on perceived enemies and threats.
The three defendants had worked in the US intelligence community, including the National Security Agency and in the military. According to the justice department, they had worked for a US company providing cyber intelligence operations for the UAE government that met US regulations.

They then moved in 2016 to higher-paying jobs at a UAE government-linked company, identified in media reports as DarkMatter, where they began carrying out hacking jobs on designated targets, including servers inside the United States.”

deferred prosecution… meaning you were a) also an asset for another usgov agency on the dl, got caught by fib and this is going though the motions to keep up appearances, or b) you weren’t but have agreed to be flipped and weaponized for uncle sam, or c) my favorite – doj or others (including obviously the UAE) are worried what might be exposed as a by product of an actual court case so offered a deal of the century – 3 years probation. Good thing they only allegedly loaded malware into 10’s of millions of electronic devices, and didn’t say stroll through the capital grounds in January.

“Aside from paying fines, the three men were stripped of US security clearances, banned from the US intelligence community and forbidden from hacking.”
Wait, somehow they weren’t stripped of said clearances after leaving their us front to then to go work for a UAE firm ( ) who is an apparent front for UAE gov IC??? sigh…I see zero has changed on cleaning up legacy clearances.

Babylon Bee addition to this story:
When interviewed, the defendants all expressed gratitude toward the DOJ, and all noted how excited they were to “move past this” and to start a new life. When asked what’s next the three discussed their plans to start a consulting firm venture in the new year, stating they’ve been in early talks with ES&S, Dominion, and Smartmatic about they can help improve remote access to their products, better obfuscation algorithms, and intro a ‘killer’ app to enable voting by phone.

I got a chuckle out of the tail end of that piece — “… and forbidden from hacking.” Hacking other than the climax has all the attributes of sex. Given a nice dark hotel, in a dark forbidden part of this planet you KNOW you are still going to do it. Its an itch that gnaws at you.

Oh and this caught my eye — “and intro a ‘killer’ app to enable voting by phone.”. And what pops into my mind? The thousand upon thousands of cell phone spoofing farms that India and China run on a continuous basis. Estimates are that at least a third of the traffic on Twitter is nothing but bot farms.

I’m not really a fan of vaccine mandates, but I also don’t like that we’re not considering natural immunity in the equation.

Both the vaccine as well as recovering from actual covid will produce an IgG spike protein antibody that is reasonable marker for protection. Having a positive spike IgG antibody test would be equivalent to having been vaccinated from my view. Also it’s fairly easy to get an antibody test and produce a result to bring to your employer.

  47. 2021 September 15 7:02 am
    PresidentRonaldPaul permalink

Mayo clinic actually has an anti-nucleocapsid protein antibody test. How or why is this useful? Both vaccine response and recovery from actual covid produce IgG antibodies to spike protein.

However only recovery from covid itself will produce anti-nucleocapsid antibodies.

Meaning if you were vaccinated, this test would tell you whether you’ve actually been exposed to covid and got infected after you were vaccinated (and didn’t have symptoms obviously because if you had symptoms then you would know)

and there are some new vaccine ideas looking at targeting nucleocapsid rather than spike protein.

Well that is some good news.

Here is my gripe about how this whole affair has been handled —

    * Nearly noexistent protocol for prevention. Early vitamin pack and HCQ. Currently vitamin pack and Ivermectin. That should have been delivered to every household to help ‘flatten the curve’.
    * No protocol who are already immune to to exposure/recovery. And the same validity of ‘papers’ as if you had been vaxxed.
    * The cover up, and yes there has been one.
    * Fauci, the man is a hack.
    * That the govt is attempting thru businesses what it itself cannot do legally.

I do not believe there is any evidence to support ivermectin or HCQ for covid, and I do not think vitamin D has much to do with covid either although some mild supplementation during winter months isn’t a bad idea as a general concept.

I can also tell you my local hospitals have been admitting 99% unvaccinated and the vaccine has been holding up extremely well against delta.

50, good list and it shows they are NOT serious about the medical part of it, but they ARE serious about desperately forcing vaccinations. Which already tells you something.

Add one more to the list: the pressure to vaxx increasingly young children. They already condition all kinds of activities for 16 and older based on vaxx status (sports, music programs, in LA you have to be vaxxed to attend school in person, etc, etc).
Now there is a big push to extend that down to 12-15 year olds.
    1) People have calculated: more kids will die driving to get the Jab than will die from Covid
    2) Definitely more will be harmed from the Jab than from Covid
In England: Age 16 and above recommended for vaccine but only 1 shot is given
In England: The professional body of experts tasked with examining the data recommended NO VACCINE for 12-15 age group. Government is now busily searching a way to reverse that recco.

Additionally, they are hollowing out the military and health industries as people drop out rather than get vaxxed.
Torba on Gab is right that we’ll need a parallel economy and some solidly Red states to preserve freedom while the madness washes over the people living in Blue states.
