Twenty Years

To the Day.

To those lost that fateful day, we mourn your passing still. To the families of the loved ones left behind, an apology is owed for we still don’t have the whole story.

BinLaden took a big gamble, and won. The bet? That our own fears would undo us. He could not beat us on a material basis but he hedged that it would be possible to defeat us mentally. He was right. The Patriot Act was the first step. ‘Papers please’ to get on public transport, self signed warrants by Federals. Following are restrictions on gun sales, red flag laws, and night time raids. The urge for protection came before the urge for freedom, the chains duly forged.

We the People have done nothing since to prevent the slide. Oh there is some resistance but the vast majority of the populace are like NPCs in a video game. Numb and oblivious. Covid has accelerated the march to authoritism yet again. Soon even your own body will not be yours to chose as you will. We will have truly reached ‘1984’.

But what now?

Resistance as we attempted it in the Courts, the Congress and the political arena are for the most part now denied. Tech tyranny has made it very hard to voice an alternate opinion of those platforms. Cancel culture is doing the same in the physical world. Universities are nothing but breeding grounds for socialist dogma. The old battle has been lost. We need to face that fact.

We, the resistance, need to think quite differently now.

Economics: Flat out, run your own business. Dependence on a W2 income relationship will over the long term mean you are the pawn in both office politics and State politics. Just look what Biden* is mandating with large employers, vaxx or out. If full time 1099 income is not available, start a side gig to that aim and see if you can grow it to full time. But the hand writing is on the wall.

After food and shelter make saving your number one priority. Do not keep a lot of money in your bank accounts, just enough to pay that months bills. Move the rest into gold, silver, maybe BitCoin. Leaving it in long term cash is a guarantee to lose at least 10% a year. Whatever your alternative is has to be a asset preservation tool. In 1968 I could buy a gallon of gas with a constitutional quarter (.25c, 75% silver content). Today, 2021, I can still buy that single gallon of gas because that same quarter is worth ~$4.25.

With MMT holding sway at the Fed and spending in Congress going Brrrrr, the USD is not long for this world. Fact it should have already cratered but it is the best end to pick up in a sea of turds worldwide. But that won’t last. Eventually investors will get wise to the fact that holding Treasuries burns assets faster than owning a yacht. Don’t play that game, disengage, get out.

Home: Secure it first of all. Upgrade your locks and door jambs. If possible replace doors with the fancy entrance way glass. Put in an alarm system but don’t pay for a service. Surveys show that response times exceed 30 minutes. In the event of a break in you could be dead in 2. Money wasted, buy silver with the savings. Own a gun? Learn how to use it. Don’t? Get one and learn how to use it. Also become very familiar with the laws in your state as far when and when you cannot go postal with it. Improve the lighting around the home. Trim back overgrown plants that provide cover. Check your fencing if you have it.

Have at least a 30 day food supply, preferably 90. Most homes could not go a week without a grocery run. In the early stages of a SHTF, that could be a deadly operation. Make a plan of how you will maintain a water supply if the mains are cut off. Learn how to garden. You can reduce your food bill by 50% just working an area 20×40’. That won’t happen overnight, it requires skill and observation.

When the lights go out, and it will, then what? Well you could say, ‘time for bed’, as our colonial forefathers did. That is a strategy. Do you do camping (car, tent, RV) well you are well on your way to having existing alternate resources. Take stock and see what your lack. Get additional propane or liquid fuels for the stoves and lanterns you already have. Next, if your family just can’t break loose of the power cord get a generator or a solar generator to provide a modicum of backup electrical power. Whole house systems are great and they are also expensive. But select a unit that can at least power your most efficient refrigerator and cell and a few lights.

Spending: First off learn to make do. Purge those crazy potions at the supermarket. If you read the labeling its mostly alcohol, water and some fragrance. Make your own substitute. Here is a great book of how-to. We make our own laundry cleaning product for almost half the cost of the store stuff. Turn it into a golf game. Your goal is to reach the ‘hole in one’ of not spending a dime at the retailers. Start small then work your way up. Always ask, “Do I need it? Can I substitute? Can I make it myself?”

Look at your bills. Which ones can I eliminate or at least reduce? The cable bill is the classic. They entice you with a All-in-One package that appears cheap. Chances are though you already have a cell phone so why have the phone from Verizon. Most of the channels you don’t watch so why have the TV/HBO/… on there too? Water heaters cost energy, consider a heat blanket wrap and adjust the thermostat on the beast. Adjust where you can and direct the extra money into savings or reducing debt.

Technology: I could be all over the map here, only because I am a rebel when it comes to this stuff. I gork Open Source and have not paid for a piece of software in at least 15 years if not longer. YMMV.

First consider purchasing a laptop over a desktop. Yes they are more expensive but you can get by with one machine and if you need more screen real estate purchase one with HDMI output and acquire a larger LCD screen. It is what I have done for the last 5 years and it was a one generation back device when I bought it. If you will never need portability then yes buy a desktop it will be a cheaper choice.

Second consider Open Source software first. Free can’t be beat. Most have Linux and Windows variants. Alas there are some categories where paid is best. Photoshop is a prime example. CAD tools another. One thing to really avoid or minimize is software as service at the personal level. When the ’Net goes down you are out of service.

Last, stop chasing the latest gadget. The Apple cult being the worst case prime example of what I am talking about. I still have a Samsung S cell phone and does exactly what I need. Old as the hills too.

Education: Well first free strikes again. The internet overall, and YouTube is the greatest resource on the planet for learning. For those of us in the post collegiate state of mind its the place to graduate to.

For the family getting ready to send their children off to college think long and hard. Sending Suzie off to get a BA at a trendy school is a waste of time. You would be better off putting a down payment on a house for her and be that the end of it. You and the child need to look at – child’s capability, the degree they are going for, the overall costs as a bundle. Simply put if the career the kid desires can’t make more than $55k after 5 years do a rethink.

Consider if you will, a burger flipper earning $20/hr is $42000 annually with no skill set. If you spend $80000 over 4 years, and that is cheap college, and the child only makes $40000 after graduation who made the wrong career choice? As they say, do the maths or you will be sorry.

Entertainment: Recent entertainment choices are Woke be it Hollyweird products, the NFL, NBA, MLB, they are just dripping with it. Vote with your wallet and don’t buy a ticket. Don’t support it.

These days I would rather watch an old movie or read a book. Visit with friends. Go to a park. Go somewhere local.

Politics: Abandon national politics. The GOP is doing us no favors and have not fought a good battle in years. Its a waste of your money to support a national campaign.

Rather, go local. Battle it out in the school boards, mayoral races, State representatives and governor races. Its an area where a small group of concerted citizens can make a large impact. Unseat the freak show liberals in these positions. Run for positions on school boards and city positions. Gain control of zoning boards or anything else that is an elected position.

The point of all this? Well to steal their thunder “Build Back Better”. The difference being doing so at a personal level to prepare ourselves with what is coming and at the same time hasten its arrival. If everyone followed the prescription resulting in half the population not engaging fully in the economy it will happen.

Only then, in the dire economic failure of the Federal Government to operate will things change. Our political daemons can only act so long as they have money to do so. Deny it to them the best you can.

Besides going local over national, if you donate to the cause, consider giving to a lawfare group. We need them, since GOPe has decided to cave. Judicial Watch, Election Integrity Project, Center for American Liberty, True the Vote, Pacific Legal Foundation and others have all been helpful.

We the People have the power to shut this place down — — 13 people forced a hospital to cease maternity services.

If Truckers and Rail Workers stopped working this country would grind to a halt. There would be not Christmas sales devastating retail employment. A cascade could eventually ensue in due course.

    Brought fwd from last thread:

KH is it OK to post your photo links elsewhere?
I clicked on a couple, it’s pretty moving to view them but I don’t want to potentially blow your privacy … or if some photos are copy-protected, or any other unforeseen thing.
    I had in mind,
    1) sending to a couple of people directly in email
    2) posting on another blog or two
    3) posting on Gab
A Gab posting might potentially be viewed by a troll. Could they track back to you and get you cancelled somehow?
I suspect the other two are safe.
Just thinking it would be welcomed by many as it appears to be an incredible collection.

Interesting. FedEx bucks the trend of abject fear about the virus which kills 0.25% of those infected and reinstitutes signatures for some packages. Doubtless masked perhaps gloved but standing next to someone while the sign.

    FedEx Delivery Signature Update
As we continue to support the global supply chain, we’re committed to keeping customers, team members and your packages safe. We will reinstate effective September 15, 2021 our physical signature requirements for paid, premium signature services and commercial deliveries* across the U.S.

6 – Sure… i don’t care, that said some of them maybe copy protected or whatever though I just pilfered them from the web over time, they’re linked to my largely throw away g account. Use your best judgement I guess, what’s pathetic is one wouldn’t of had to have thought twice years ago sharing such pictures (so long as it wasn’t for money).

$35360 per annum. A masters in visual production from Columbia only pays $38k. That after spending roughly $150k in tuition.

Controversial Virginia training video claims Muslims suffer because of 9-11:

“We’re not going to reproduce a false assumption of Muslim responsibility for 9/11. We’re just going to begin right there and name that there is no responsibility and therefore we’re not going to use this space to try and untangle that,” said Decuir.

I don’t remember the terrorists crying out “Praise to Jesus Christ.”

Might I suggest that ill feelings toward Muslims are the result of refusing to assimilate, mistreatment of women and always seeking special treatment?

a state of despair, typically one which results in rash or extreme behavior.

    As in:
The government’s approach to distributing the Covid-19 vaccines is increasingly an act of DESPERATION

    The question: WHY????

Why the hysteria, the threats, the punishments & fines, the un-Constitutional actions??? Why???

Occum’s Razor indicates that their desperate actions stem from FEAR…fear that We The People are going to realize the long-term effects of the CURE may very well be worse than the DISEASE.

IF the vaccines work as advertised then the vaccinated have nothing to fear from the UN-vaccinated…NOTHING.

QED: the vaccines do NOT work as advertised. And may indeed have horrible long-term side-effects.

    Hence the desperation

True, the desperation is palpable and also puzzling.
It’s also unscientific, for example ignoring the case of infected/recovered with natural antibodies. Also the growing insistence to vaxx 12 to 15 year olds.

The theory that there’s something fishy is appealing.
The other plausible case is politics. They truly believe they can build a fury against unvaxxed using MSM propaganda and depend on people not noticing the holes in the logic. They hope to crush the unvaxxed and cement their power. “We can even implement stupid policies like abandon Afghanistan and require leaky vaccines, so just give up and go away, you rabble. We can do as we please and ain’t nothing you can do about it”

HOWEVER there is something odd happening.
Government has made it difficult to trade gold.
And there is some forced redistribution of wealth from rich to poor mandated with perhaps more coming.
Eventually paper money will go away … National digital currency means govt sees and controls all your spending … investment choices are being systematically restricted… the equivalent of a re-election bid is coming closer for Xi.

I actually think delta is starting to wane now for whatever reason.

Nonetheless for the conspiracy theorists who think the hospitals arent busy and are actually empty, there is a good story on hotair: ER doctor called to transfer patient to 43 different hospitals who all rejected his transfer request bc all 43 were at full capacity.

There were similar stories out of Texas recently of pts dying sitting in the ER waiting to be transferred after every semi nearby hospital was full.
