Flu season is fall & winter, the height of low sun light – thus the importance of Vitamin D. there is another interesting university disconnect as well. Sent my son to a small state school this fall and even though the state system mandated vaccines, he has had no problems with the school. He received a religious exemption and has to wear a mask and test weekly because rules are set by the state system, but he hasn’t experienced any problems or attitudes about his status from the school. Covid questions are part of the housing questionnaire but they had no trouble finding him a roommate that matched his vax conditions. It appears that this small state school in a conservative county with a high percentage of local students understands that they risk losing a large percentage of their student body if they push this.
