Midterms have a tempering effect whether politicians like it or not.

The Senate voted on Wednesday to repeal President Biden’s federal vaccine mandate. Courtesy of two Democratic Senators, the vote tallied 52-48, successfully rejecting Biden’s plan to impose strict COVID-19 ordinances. Senators Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.) joined the Republicans for the bi-partisan vote.

The opposition, dubbed the Congressional Review Act, drew a majority favor to repeal Biden’s proposed mandate — which was originally set to begin this week (Dec. 5).

President Biden’s blueprint for a federal program made vaccine check-ups mandatory for businesses with 100 employees or more — threatening termination and sufficient work for unvaccinated Americans.

This rebuke probably marks the end of the Biden Administration. No he won’t get kicked out but his ability to craft legislation is over. The honeymoon with the country and the beltway is dead. All we have to look forward to now is watching a man deteriorate with his face in a bowl of ice cream on national television.

The Democrats have finally dug themselves a hole with their brand for factional politics:

  • The courts at various levels are blocking mandate efforts across the board.
  • They are so stupid that they do not realize that forcing mandates affects blacks most of all, a constituent block of their coalition.
  • Schools and what is being taught have become a hot bed issue with parents of all stripes. A core reason that they lost Virginia.
  • The Squad is becoming more an more petulant even as their power in the hall of Congress are waning.
  • Biden’s efforts of ripping the guts out of fossil fuels is having disastrous consequences.
  • The Smash-n-Grab spreading across the country is exposing Soros’ hand in getting DA’s soft on crime elected. The backlash has already begun.
  • The VP is now in the position that regardless of what happens, short of Biden dying outright in office, she has no chance of carrying the torch for the Dims in ’24. She has become too toxic even for Democrats.
  • The Federal budget, if you can call it that, is a joke. The debt is now so high that there is no possibility of paying it off.

The simple fact of the matter is Democrats cannot lead. Nor is it a matter of leadership but an inherent structural problem. Their basket coalition as a matter of national interests cannot provide a cohesive way forward. It is only held together by Federal largess at the Treasury.

The Honeymoon is over kids.

I respectfully disagree. I think this marks the BEGINNING of new desperation.

Since there is, in reality, no “Biden Administration”, it cannot end. The real RULERS of America will not go “quietly into the night”…they have finally achieved the power they have sought since Karl Marx spit out the ‘Communist Manifesto’, and they will NOT let it go without a fight.

In January of this year I put the over/under for Biden’s (P)residency at 6 months. I don’t think he lasted 6 weeks.

I don’t know what is going to happen between now and November 2022…but I just do not see the actual RULERS of America allowing us to vote to reduce their power. I pray I am wrong.

You could be right. Lot of ways things could go down.

I look at the situation as a circus act. There is the big top and side show alley. The big top is the blue-red divide as the ‘big show’ and of little consequence but it keeps the masses distracted. The money is made in the side show and the $$ intake lives or dies on how successful the carnival barker is, who happens to be Biden at the current time.

The big money maker right now is Pharma and to keep that snake-woman act going they need mandates. Biden can’t sell it so mandates are getting creamed. Hell there is even the chance that the hairy woman act might take a hit if SCOTUS over turns Roe v Wade. I am sure that the money makers will find a different way, but their front man is quickly becomig a liability.

Drdog, I love a good analogy…and your circus analogy is brilliant!

Old-time circuses relied on the “side-shows”, and they relied on the pickpockets and grifters who preyed on the slack jawed people mesmerized by the various “oddities”…which is EXACTLY what is happening in America today.

Our Founders warned of our freedoms being TAKEN from us…a massive number of Americans now want to GIVE them away. And those of us who want to remain free are labeled a long and growing list of horrible things for DARING to defend our freedom.

It’s April 11, 1861…but the roles are reversed.

Still, none of my vaxxed friends are experiencing troubles so I think we don’t need to assume a catastrophe. Only the possibility of catastrophe. For now.

A conspiratorially minded friend says he believes the Chinese EverGrande is much bigger than people suspect. He says it is not confined to China and that big firms like BlackRock and Vanguard will be hurt. This will lead to US stock market and pension payment problems.

Here’s the info, you can decide for yourself if this will come to anything.
My friend: “If the funds operate by law in the U.S., there shouldn’t be any problem. The problem comes from their relationship with China (, like with Evergrande, They have been colluding with China to illegally use shareholders’ money. As the Chinese economy collapses, starting from its real-estate, these funds will go down with it. They won’t be able to pay Americans’ pensions anymore”

Are BlackRock Too Close To The Chinese Communist Party?
According to a story by The Epoch Times on December 4th, 2021, it talks about how Consumers’ Research, the oldest U.S. consumer advocacy organisation, recently sent a letter to 10 state governors warning them about the reliance of their states’ pension funds on BlackRock’s strong ties to China. BlackRock, under Chief Executive Larry Fink, is the first foreign-owned company to receive a license to operate in China’s $3.5 trillion mutual fund industry. This is a very unusual situation because as we know you cannot do business in China at this level without being friendly to the communist regime and turning a blind eye to all the human rights violations and forced labour camps.

The collapse of Evergrande Real Estate—-the influence for China and the world’s finance
Evergrande (0333) overseas debtors gradually are exposed, the Japanese pension fund, international financial institutions BlackRock, UBS and HSBC (00005) are on its list. Bloomberg pointed out that there is also a British investment institution Ashmore. Ashmore holds about 400 million U.S. dollars, BlackRock holds 3.13 million Evergrande bonds, accounting for 1% of the company’s assets, the size of nearly 400 million U.S. dollars. HSBC also increased its holdings by 40% in July, but the weight of the portfolio is about 1.22%, about 200 million U.S. dollars. UBS increased its holdings by 25% in May to nearly US$300 million. Besides these four, Fidelity Investments (Fidelity), Pimco and Allianz (Allianz ) cut 47% in the first half are also involved in a number of countries pension funds, such as the Norwegian government pension fund.

Note: Evergrande made a couple of payments after this Sept article was printed using, I believe, basically smoke and mirrors. But yesterday or the day before I read that Evergrande finally missed a payment and is now officially bankrupt.

The vaxx mandate vote failed in the Senate. I get that. But several articles said the bill (?) was passed on to the House. I assume Nancy can get enough votes to support Biden*.
So, what does it all mean? If you need both houses of Congress, why bother sending to the House?

OK, looks like this is mostly theater. The House won’t vote on it. So it won’t stop Biden.
As one commenter said: “The house doesn’t even have plans to take it up and if by some miracle they did and a few dems voted with the republicans, Biden would just veto it. So this means absolutely nothing.”

Protocol. If the House had a similar bill the senate forwards it to the House. The House may then look at it, pull the offending passages and send their version to the Senate for reconsideration. But I think you are missing a key item, the Biden action was not a bill it was a proposed procedural change to an all ready approved administrative ruling. Senate intervened under the provisions of the Congressional Review Act. On that basis I don’t think there is even a need for the Senate to do anything short of posting in the Federal Register.

Let’s face facts: the media determined the outcome of the 2020 election. It protected Brandon while he hid in his basement. It unceasingly attacked Trump and the Republicans so Brandon and the Democrats didn’t have to.

Americans are catching on to the media and its lies, but will it happen quickly enough to save our country?

    I respectfully disagree.

I disagree as well, but Justrand beat me to a response. Of course, my perspective may be different because of living in the SF Bay Area where mandates, masks, and alls sorts of hysteria are pervasive and supported by a large majority.

For example, despite all the court cases, the city of Half Moon Bay is moving forward with mandating vaccines for all city employees with pretty much no exceptions. The problem is that policing is provided by the county Sheriffs office and San Mateo County refuses to implement such mandates citing union and other issues. Therefore, Half Moon Bay is now saying they will look for police protection from another provider. This is probably posturing, but stuff like this happening in my own backyard doesn’t make me feel like we’re winning.

The Most Woke Thing I’ve Ever Seen Just Occurred in New York
Yesterday, New York City officially passed a measure to allow non-citizens to vote in municipal elections. It will apply to green card holders and those with work authorizations, marking the destruction of the long-standing precedent that only U.S. citizens have a say in the governance of their country, from the federal to local levels.

Yet, despite the absurdity of the measure that passed, it was a Democrat who actually voted “no” that stole the show, and not in a good way. The Majority Leader of the New York City Council, Laurie Cumbo, who cast that ” no” vote, explained her reasoning afterward.
    Ross Barkan
Laurie Cumbo is voting against legislation allowing non-citizens to vote in NYC because, she said, Latinos voted in greater numbers for Donald Trump in 2020. She believes it will empower Latinos at the expense of Black voters.

But my point was NYC is defacto a sanctuary city. Yet in a round about way they end up with a alien registry?

US AG subpoena the city voting records. US AG subpoena the State voting records. Presuming that the voting machines will only permit aliens for NYC positions to vote…. You run a pairs analysis of the two data sets, for the subset of blank state office ballots you then filter for NYC city positions. The subsubset is your target audience, which also becomes your probable cause. Pass the dataset to ICE. They round up the usual suspects. Confront them with their ballot. That is a felony. Deport their a$$.

Amazon prospered on such forms of Chinese click-farm cheating for many years, but is now cracking down. I wonder what Amazon’s motivation was for the crackdown. Something must have happened in that it was no longer profitable to allow Chinese sellers to engage in shady practices. If it was dealt with from the very beginning it wouldn’t have grown to the degree described in the video.

If you remember it, let me know.

There had been a study (from CDC or highlighted by CDC perhaps?) showing that pregnant women were in no danger from mRNA vaccines.
The article I’m trying to find did a deeper dive on the underlying data. The author found that although the overall numbers were pretty much equivalent, there was a small but significant increase in stillbirths during the final trimester if you were vaxxed. So the author called out the study for being misleading.

It seems Instagram (a Facebook company) has begun restricting and blocking users who post Black Lives Matter links in their bios. Apparently, it’s due to BLM’s support of looting, which goes against IG’s ToS. Lot’s of screaming on Twitter about this.

Speculation is that big-box retailers are putting pressure on social media companies to thwart the use of their platforms to organize Smash and Grabs. The funny thing is that there is nothing that Big Tech can do that isn’t going to look blatantly racist. Given the clown world we live in, my bet is that Instagram will back down within 48 hours, say they are sorry, and announce a big donation to BLM.

Does anyone have any good Christmas movie recommendations? Last night we watched “White Christmas” and my favorite Christmas movie is on tap for tonight — “Die Hard”. Any other old that can help get my family in the Christmas spirit?

New movies are such crap. I took my wife on a date to see the new “West Side Story” the other night. Only seven people in the entire theater. This is in the middle of the SF Bay Area on a Friday night. WTF? Is everyone that afraid of the cooties?

The remake wasn’t terrible, but it certainly wasn’t a good movie. All I could think while watching was, “Why was this movie made?” Completely unnecessary. Speilberg could have saved himself $10s of millions by simply restoring the original with Natalie Wood and re-releasing it. This remake seemed so bleak and lifeless compared to the original. The editing choices were puzzling as well ruining the pacing of the story. I guess the gender dysmorphic character justified the remake.
