Wag the Dog, Part 2

2022 January 24

A lot has changed in the past 20 years. With the demise of the Bush Wing of the GOP, Democrats are far more likely than Republicans to support wars that aren’t in the national interest. In fact, neocons, like Wee Willie Krystol, are far more likely to support Democrats than Republicans. Donald Trump saw to that.

An overwhelmingly majority of Americans oppose deployment of US troops in the Ukraine:

Fewer than one in six Americans want U.S. soldiers deployed to defend Ukraine if Russia invades the country, according to a new poll published on Friday, as high level talks got underway in Geneva.

A poll from Convention of States Action (COSA) in partnership with the Trafalgar Group found that just 15.3 percent of likely general election voters believed the U.S. should provide troops as “boots on the ground.”

The figures came as Secretary of State Antony Blinken met Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for talks in Geneva with tensions between Russia and Ukraine remaining high.

But, when has it mattered what US citizens want to the Joe Biden regime? The Biden Family has a long history of profiting from the Ukraine and this conflict helps deflect attention from Biden’s domestic mess. After all, you can only say “January 6” and call people “racist” co many times.

WAG THE DOG - Trailer - (1997) - HQ - YouTube Jambu Bol Cemet: Miss Universe - Olesya Stefanko (Miss Ukraine 2011)

This wasn’t quite how De Niro and Hollywood pictured it. The Ukraine’s most (only?) valuable asset – Olesia Stefanko.

Other than Olesia Stefanko, former Miss Ukraine, what can the Ukraine possibly offer Americans whose last name isn’t Biden?

We haven’t had many severely hot, scantily-clad women at BJG since the regular college football season ended.

No much in Ukraine that the US cannot do without. Logistically it all favors Russia. Having missiles there really does not shorten the trip time compared to launching from Poland, at least from the point of view of hitting Moscow. Really bad move.

US removes diplomats from Kiev (Kyiv) about 500 miles from Russian border out of an abundance of caution.
Are they signaling that the US plans to run away? Are they telling Russia to go for it?

BREAKING (AFP) — The EU is *not* following the US in withdrawing its diplomats’ families from Ukraine, top European diplomat Josep Borrell says, adding there is no need to “dramatize” the situation while diplomatic talks with Russia continue.

For someone that ip would view as an “older woman” – anyone over 25 – she isn’t bad at all. You make it sound like she morphed into Hillary Clinton. I don’t se any back-up warning lights on her butt. She’s definitely in the top 5% of thirty-something women.

I read an interesting article that posited Russia doesn’t really WANT to invade Ukraine…because Ukraine has a much lower standard of living, is vastly poorer, and Russia doesn’t NEED anything Ukraine has. But by saber-rattling Putin can get concessions from the EU , NATO, and Brandon.

But Brando (and the Dems) DO want a war.

    Stay tuned.

“Indefensible Edict” – DeSantis Rages After Biden’s FDA Restricts Use Of Monoclonal Antibody Treatments

While on my cruise earlier this month I got to spend a lot of time with friends and friends-of-friends who all currently live in Florida. Them knowing that monoclonal antibodies were available to them as Florida residence provided a lot of peace of mind should they come down with Covid. Biden just ripped that peace of mind from them. This is not going to go over well in that state.

I read an interesting article that posited Russia doesn’t really WANT to invade Ukraine.

I believe the reason Russia is testy about Ukraine is the same reason we were testy about the Soviet Union putting long-range missiles in Cuba in the early 1960s. To the Russians, it’s an unacceptable long-term security risk to have a well-armed pro-Western government directly on their frontier with unimpeded access to the Russian heartland. Especially with the political shenanigans pulled by US and EU to turn the Ukraine government from a neutral to pro-Western entity about ten years ago.

This is classic geopolitics-101 being played out before our eyes with Russia being very serious about looking out for their own interests in areas they consider their own backyard. Putin is unlikely to back down until they feel Ukraine is back again under their political sphere of influence or is territorially neutered to be less of a threat to the Russian heartland.

    Lets tally shall we?

    * Bugs out of Afghanistan so fast that assets on the ground become a arms merchants bazaar.
    * Milley running the DoD is in the process of neutering forces that thanks to the Jab will probably be having seizures in the field.
    * That the 352th LBGTQ Infantry Brigade and the Boa-constrictors SOF have yet to be tested in battle and are most likely will be looking for a ‘safe place’ once the first 122mm shell is lobbed.

And the WH idiots think a WAR is going to go in their favor? JHC.

It’s not, they want the appearance of a war without the war, anything to fill the headlines with something other then shit that matters. There will be no war, just same low level shit that’s been going on will continue.
