Is Ottawa Coming to the US?

2022 February 19

Just as Hitler used the Reichstag fire to gain unprecedented power and rob citizens and opposition parties of their rights, Prime Minister Justin(e) Trudeau is using the trucker protests to increase his power, denying Canadians and opposition parties of freedom.

It’s important to remember that Trudeau enacted the Emergencies Act at the urging of Joe Biden and his stooges Alejandro  Mayorkas and Pete Buttigieg.

The Emergencies Act gives Trudeau wartime dictatorial powers and is actually a form of marshal law. Under it, the government can break up protests, seize property, confiscate bank accounts and much more.

Under Trudeau’s reign of authoritarianism (which began in 2015), Canadians have been losing their freedoms – particularly in the areas of free speech and religion.

Trudeau’s tyranny  has been enthusiastically supported by state-owned Canadian media as well as the New York Times, CNN and the rest of the leftist US media.

The Canadian trucker protest has spurred similar actions in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Now US truckers are getting in the act with a freedom convoy that leaves Barstow, CA Wednesday and should be in DC to coincide with Biden’s State of the Union.

The American left has already had its own Reichstag fire (January 6) and – unfortunately for the left – it hasn’t caught on with the American public, in spite of the MSM constantly telling everyone it is the greatest threat to democracy in the nation’s history.

When the convoy hits DC, you can be sure of two things – the Biden regime  will do everything to silence it and will have the full support of the media.

So, how will the US truck convoy differ from Canada? Biden is every bid as dictatorial as Trudeau. Biden has authoritarian henchmen (Mayorkas and Merrick Garland) who will violate the law to quell dissent. Like Canada, the government and media will label truckers and their supporters as domestic terrorists.

But there are differences. The US doesn’t have anything as draconian as Canada’s Emergency Act. Americans aren’t nearly as polite and docile as their Canadian neighbors. The right is better organized in the US than in Canada.

Stock up on popcorn and beer (Yuengling if you can find it).

“Is Ottawa Coming to the US?”

One could flip that lede — “Is Saskatchewan and Alberta joining the US?” Both provinces have considered the idea of applying for statehood in the US and leave Canada.

“The US doesn’t have anything as draconian as Canada’s Emergency Act. …” I would suggest you read this EO — You can bet your bippy this might well be enforced if they think they can get away with it — “… to engage in and facilitate malicious cyber-enabled activities against the United States and its allies and partners; …” Nice Eh?

One last point. Truckers have a two edged punch. They can rallye to bring trucks to bear in a physical location. Or, they can just go home and take a 2 week vacation. Most stores would be empty in 3 days and then there would hue and cry to knuckle under.

FYI – heard on a live broadcast from Ottawa that the woman trampled by the horse DID survive. Had to go to the hospital and I believe had a broken hip. BUT there was a gentleman there too, who got trampled trying to help the woman. Later had a heart attack and died.

drdog – I am with you. Don’t go home for 3 days. Go home until they put Biden’s, Kamala’s, Nancy’s, Chuck’s and a few other heads on sticks. And until they do, nothing flows.

Give them a week or two. And the goblins in the cities will be more than glad to comply.

The U.S. “Government” has a dilemma for sure vis-a-vis the American truckers. As ya’ll have noted if you arrest them: No commerce. If you block the roads their traveling on (to stop or slow them): No commerce. And if you let them drive to D.C.: Brandon looks even weaker…if that’s possible.

Some tidbits I heard yesterday watching some live broadcasts from Ottawa.

A man who immigrated from China 30 years ago, stated that Trudeau said the same thing that was said about Tiananmen Square – “A fringe minority”. Man knew exactly what it was all about and part of the reason he was at the protest.

Another podcaster, fireman who is losing his job because he wont take the vax. Stated that the police were brought in from outside Ottawa (he did not say this – exactly same thing that happened at Tiananmen Square), and they are OPP Ontario Provincial Police. That the police are exempt from having to take the vax BUT everyone else must take the vax to keep their jobs.

Same podcaster said that this has shown him not to trust anyone.

People being arrested are being threatened by the courts, that they can no longer protest, organize or broadcast or else. Others are being hauled away (not arrested or charged) and driven away and dropped off in the middle of no where to make their own way back.

Police have been pushing people back, beating them with night sticks, kicking them when they are down and other means of harassment. Saw a kid about 12 get pepper sprayed who was not up front. They peppered spray at will.

There is copies of messages (on the web) the police have sent each other laughing about what they have done and what they are doing.

Give credit to the Canadians for PEACEFULLY PROTESTING. The people and the veterans have taken it while their government has abused them.

The UN plane stuff is kinda weird. I did see it kinda explained away that the airport where they were spotted is a maintenance center for that particular kind of plane and it may not mean anything, but that they were there for routine maintenance or repairs. Something I saw which I believe makes a good point.

Terrorism is illegal and able to be easily prosecuted, and therefore Justin Trudeau has no reason to invoke the emergencies act – an act which is reserved for emergencies that cannot be dealt with under any other law.

You must admit one of the following:

    1. The truckers were not acting unlawfully
    2. Trudeau wrongfully invoked the emergencies act

Actually, I believe there is a third point that is closer to reality. The protests could have been easily broken up at any time by applying existing laws with a heavy hand. However, the Liberal Party and Trudeau feel that the punishment for the misdemeanor nuisance crimes the protestors could be convicted of are too light to dissuade the protests. Therefore, they needed to invoke the emergencies act to inflict extra-legal punishments (ie. seizing bank accounts and property) against the protestors to make the cost of participating too high for the participants to continue.

To each his own, but it seems silly to me. If Bitcoin does indeed take power from and can function independently of any centralized authority, then it seems it should thrive regardless if supported by a US President or not.

Personally, I agree with Trump that Bitcoin/cryptocurrency seems like a scam, but I’m willing to accept that perhaps there is something there that I just fail to understand. I would just prefer the government take a neutral stance on cryptocurrency and treat/regulate it as any other commodity to be freely bought and sold. I would not want to see the government specifically target Bitcoin any more than I want to see the government embrace it.

Pretty good video of an Ottawa business owner and family members standing up to police tyranny.

Apparently this cafe continued to serve truckers and protestors for the last few weeks and yesterday he gave an interview where he thanked the truckers for they were doing to lift the restrictions that were strangling his business. Apparently, the police show up today saying they were their for an “inspection”. He stood his ground and refused to allow them entry despite the police repeatedly telling him they were going to break his windows and revoke his business license.

I suspect this video will go viral. It shows how the jackbooted thugs that Trudeau brought into Ottawa are little different than the BLM thugs that terrorized business owners just a few years ago.

40 – If you haven’t seen the movie “Wag the Dog” recently, I would suggest you or anyone else here watch it. It eerily parallels exactly what is going on with the Ukraine situation now. Biden manufactures a crisis in Ukraine to distract the public from all the ills that are a direct result of his terrible policies.

My wife hadn’t seen “Wag the Dog” before and it was a real “red pill” for her. Since we watched it together last week she’s pointed out about a half-dozen times where the news regarding Ukraine seems to parallel scenes from the movie.

I don’t see Trump as anti crypto.
    1) he’s older, more traditional so it’s not something he’s comfortable with
    2) he’s strongly pro American and (correctly) sees that BTC especially will diminish and dilute the power of the greenback

I bet Trump’s perfectly ok with informed adults doing what they want with their own money.
This contrasts with people like Liz Warren, Chairman Xi and others who see crypto as a threat to their plans to enslave others … for the greater good, of course.

Despite my contempt for PRPs anti freedom agenda, I agree that crypto especially BTC is there for the long haul. Even if he and I are wrong in this area, owning a bit of crypto shows concrete support for the anti totalitarian side.

I do wonder about one thing vis a vis BTC. BTC is generally measured against the fiat currency, in the US that’s ole USD. How does one valuate BTC if there were a worldwide collapse so that there was nothing to be pegged to? How many BTC does it cost to buy Big Mac when there is no counter agency to peg against? Its a psychological factor I don’t think is generally considered.

Trudeau is bold and shameless. His claim that the truckers and their supporters are white supremacist haters was never supported by facts, but that didn’t stop him because he always knew it was a necessary claim to make in order to seize enormous powers. I believe this was part of his plan from the start, and he used January 6th as the template and then extended it even further.

It’s impossible to avoid noticing that the majorities of Yeas during the vote were women and POCs, while the majorities of Neas were white males. One thing is certain, Trudeau certainly knows how to play the game of politics.

That could be. We’ll have to wait and see. But if the investor class gets nervous and starts pulling out it is going to get ugly. If I were a Canadian I would be looking for a US bank that takes foreign direct deposit and does online banking.

But if the investor class gets nervous…

Would that be the same investor class that gave billions of $$$ to BLM and supports both the DNC and GOP country clubbers?

Sorry, I’m being cynical. I’m in a bad mood seeing as what is going on in Canada and Ukraine. The truckers’ rebellion was glorious while it lasted. But as always, the ruthlessness of the left was unappreciated.

Orwell, were he alive, would be whispering ‘but of course’ — — Gee that bad conclusion might be “The Vaxx is a joke, this is OVER!”.

Before we disparage Scotland we might consider that our own Orwells are looking for a soft landing before looking for the next fear & strife event.

    Michael Yon sitrep —

You have 3 phases coming up:

    1) You have what you need.
    2) You pay dearly for what you need.
    3) You can’t get what you need at all.

No shit Sherlock, where you been the last 10 years Rand while citizens have been “de-banked” for …wrong-think, the latest higher profile one being being Mike Lindell, but happened to Mike Flynn and his wife just before the holidays as well, and 10’s of thousands of others since the trend started around 2009 with Eric Holder and friends at DOJ kicking it off as a new tactic against gun-shop owners.

    102,103, Everyone,

Working on an article that will be a primer for parallel economy.

The one I consider critical is a banking entity that can’t be canceled. I suspect the solution leads offshore but I am open to a domestic solution as well, if there is one. Anybody have any leads in that area?

104, It’s not banking, but perhaps moving to a state that implements Goldbacks as a legal alternative to Federal Reserve Notes for currency is a necessary step. If holding dollars becomes risky, it would be useful to be in a state that has an alternative currency already set up.

For banking, I imagine you would have to rely on a state protecting its citizens and in-state banking services against encroachment by the federal government. Probably hard to do because of the “interstate commerce” gutting of the Constitution, but being in a liberty-friendly state is probably the best an individual can do.

    What is a Goldback Anyway?

A Goldback is a voluntary, non-dollar, complementary currency. Goldbacks are gold foil notes that are crafted with.999 fine gold paint on Aurum, a plastic film designed to hold the gold paint and be durable.

The Utah Goldback, Nevada Goldback and New Hampshire Goldback are an attempt to legally allow the circulation of gold-backed currencies in states where this has been made allowable through legislation. Goldbacks are often referred to as voluntary local currency.
